Dinner at Smokeys is always consistently good. Everything is cooked perfectly. They feature seasonal specials as well as special events. They feature additional special menus throughout the year. Currently a wild game menu is feature. Many wine choices and my old fashioned drinking friends say they make the best.
Service is exceptional.

My wife's latte was fabulous. Great view and very interesting ambiance. Tables, chairs and a couch or two with a fireplace. Windows overlooking Vance Lake. Soup, Panini's and sandwiches available. Small but nice!

The Aberdeen Restaurant provides diners a chance to enjoy a great meal in a beautiful Northwoods setting. Under new ownership/management in 2014, our cuisine & ambiance is gaining a strong following from both residents and tourists. Accessible year around by car and seasonally by boat or snowmobile, Aberdeen can also accommodate large groups.
We really enjoyed our dinner here and our kiddos liked the crisscut fries a lot! Service was excellent and the staff was incredibly friendly! My husband and I both agreed that we will be back!!

On the lake in northern Wisconsin was where John Dillinger had a shoot out with the Feds. The bullet holes and broken windows are on display in the rooms where you eat. Large amount of solid food is served with friendly service. Excellent German food and duck on Saturday.

We had the family at Blue Bayou for dinner. The bayou atmosphere was fun. The service was a little slow, especially with kids. The choice of speciality drinks and wine were broad. The drinks were ok but not that special. The dinner choices were interesting and sounded more tasty than they actually were. We had a nice evening there on the lake but we're not all that impressed with the food. Their prices were reasonable.

WE stopped in here for a family dinner while vacationing in the area. The Irish pub food is always an attraction for our family! We all ordered different items..burgers, shepherd's pie, reuben, reuben burger, etc. Every entree was of good quality and the service was nice. If you're looking for a casual place to grab a hot meal and a cold beer....this is the place!

My wife and I stopped for lunch. I had a Rueben sandwich with "pinecones" and she at the walleye fish appetizer. Both were very good. The "pinecones" were interesting but nothing special from a taste perspective. They are mashed potatoes shaped like a pine cone, breaded and deep fat fried. There was plenty of food and the service was quick.

The restaurant, formerly known as the Bavarian Inn re-opened in May of 2013. Our restaurant setting has transformed into a beautiful environment where you will enjoy an exquisite food experience with multiple dining room options. Choose to sit on our porch with a unique view of Rest Lake and the park. During the cooler months, you may choose to enjoy dining near one of our two fireplaces. Driven by our desire to provide genuine hospitality, our full service bar offers pleasant company and your favorite before, during and after dinner cocktails. Let Executive Chef Tom, a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, tantalize your taste buds!
Everything was great. The soup of the day was Parmesan Artichoke and it was excellent. We also had baked French Onion which was very good - tasty and not too salty - only recommendation was that the onions could have been caramelized a little longer....MoreThank you so much for your review. We greatly appreciate it and look forward to serving you at Parkside Tavern again soon!

Aurora Borealis is a casual fined inning restaurant in the Northwoods of Wisco with great bar food served late and breakfast with southwest style!
Arrived for breakfast, hostess came out and asked how many people were on our party, went to seemingly find us a table, and came back and stated she checked with the kitchen and they "were an hour out" and wouldn't be able to seat us.
Before I could say anything, she had taken off while I was trying to ask for any other local breakfast suggestions since my kids were starving.
Check my Trip Advisor history - I rarely give out bad ratings. But this was an experience that ensures we will never try this place and others should be aware of as well.

This past Saturday night had what was probably the finest dining experience I've had in N Wisconsin at the White Oak Grill, located at Chippewa Retreat Resort in Manitowish Waters.
The chef apparently did some time at Charlie Trotter's, wasn't explained in what capacity.
The room is beautiful, big fireplace on one end, ceiling looks like the bottom of a Viking boat with gorgeous wood beams as support.
Starters:
1/2 dozen raw oysters from near Cheasapeake Bay, fresh & shucked beautifully, just one small piece of shell in one of the 6 served. Served with both cocktail sauce and mignonette. So fresh & good.
Korean pancake - very good, crisp, chopped shrimp but lacking scallions in the "normal" quantity I'm used to.
Scallops - cooked perfectly, they were served over blue cheese grits, delicious.
Entrees:
My friend's son had grilled filet, done perfect to his medium. Choices of sauce for steaks are bernaise, chimichurri, & others, friend's son chose chimichurri which was excellent.
Lamb chops with Moraccan spice, a little light on the spice for my taste but none the less, delicious and cooked perfectly
Osso Bucco - beef shank, very good but I'll get something else next time which there will be for sure a next time.
