Don’t be a discouraged about how it looks from the outside. This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a week in Malibu. Granted it’s a walk-through order type situation. But the food was as good as anything I had and it wasn’t quite as pricey as everything else

We’ve been here several times when shooting in Thousand Oaks. Great place right off Malibu Canyon Drive. Food is always wonderful. I prefer eating outside to inside. Service is excellent. Waiter insisted that one of our ‘well done’ elk tenderloin orderers go medium rare. He’s usually adamant but she was insistent...and right. He really enjoyed the elk. We brought old wine and the sommelier did a great job with the difficult corks and enjoyed a taste of the wine, an old Pinot. All of the game is great. Salads were fine. THe sweet corn soup is amazing. Don’t miss the Maple Johnnycake although I’d order it for dessert. All in all this is a different look and feel than most other places in and around LA and well worth the relatively short and beautiful drive.

Look - Malibu does it right when it comes to trendy, healthy, unique, luxe food joints. This is by FAR the most fabulous smoothie joint I've ever been to. PERIOD. The acai bowls are like....from outerspace-amazing. You'll drop 15 bucks but you'll be back for MORE! Trust me. P.S. It's fun to people watch the locals and their matching dogs outside the shop! xo

Amazing location, worth trying to get a reservation during the day to maximise this. We ate at night so we missed out. Great food, our host tailored our set menu to our taste - meat, fish and veg. We have eaten in many Michelin starred restaurants (in the UK) and it was tasty but not quite up there with the best. Trendy place to go, but a bit more style over substance and thus pricy for it.

I had just spent 4 days delivering a seminar for the Navy in Camarillo and decided to drive the PCH from Oxnard to Santa Monica because this was my first opportunity to do so. The experience was fabulous. Everything you've heard about the splendor of the PCH is true. I envy those homeowners with the means to live seaside with their garages opening onto the PCH.
After an hour behind the wheel, I was ready for a break, feeling a bit parched even though the weather had been simply perfect throughout my journey. I was uncertain what I would find but I turned into the plaza. What I found was a lovely option for ice cream snobs such as this author.
While not offering the widest possible selection of ice cream flavors, when you add in yogurt choices (which appear first in the establishment's name, to be fair), you may struggle to make your selection. I certainly did.
I left happy and encourage you to give the place a try. Judging by the wide array of patrons who joined me on a Thursday afternoon, it has a great reputation.
The employees went out of their way to offer congenial service.

We were in Malibu to see the sights and decided to stop at this place for lunch. What a pleasant surprise. It’s a typical California type of restaurant, with an eclectic mix of dishes.
The chicken tacos were awesome. I added the avocado which was a nice addition. I also tried their key lime soda, one of their specialty sodas and it was great. Very sweet, but I loved it. My wife had the Tortilla Salad and daughter had the salmon sandwich. Everyone loved their choices. Very fresh taste to all the entree’s.
We decided to have desert, and they have a lot of great choices. I had the coconut carrot cake which was outstanding. It was warm and very moist. Chocolate coconut ice cream was also ordered, one of their many ice creams.
The service was very good, and the place was packed. Very friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is wonderful, as you sit on the pier and have a great view of the beach. Food was all excellent, and pricing was what I expected, about $100 for the three of us (no alcohol). But given the unique food, the freshness of everything, and the desert it was a good value.
Highly recommend stopping here, you will be glad you did. Then take a walk down the pier and checkout the place you can have breakfast.

Oceanside restaurant with breathtaking panoramic views for romantic dining. Our chic nightspot. Serenades by live DJs spinning hot tracks nightly in the Blue Lounge, brims with a vogue, Hollywood-meets-Malibu crowd, indulging in a tranquil, yet hip vibe.
Moonshadows is my favorite place in Malibu. What stands out about Moonshadows is the amazing ocean views you. The minute you walk into Moonshadows you are greeted with a nice welcome. After being seated I ordered my drink and some appetizers.
We started off with pan seared sea scallops and the spicy ahi tuna tartare. For the main dish I had the black ink shrimp tortelloni. I have to say it was the best shrimp tortelloni I ever had. The scallops very truly amazing. Also the ahi tuna tartare was truly delicious.
For desserts we had the organic maple crème brulee and the caramelized banana almond crostata. One of the best desserts I ever had. What stands out about Moonshadows is the solid food quality. I never once had a bad meal at Moonshadows. The customer service at Moonshadows is always solid.
If you are a person looking to score some points on a date. I highly recommend coming to Moonshadows. You could not ask for a better location in the heart of Malibu. I look forward to coming back soon.
You have valet parking and limited parking on PCH.

This is the quintessential fabulous Malibu beachfront glam joint. Plan to drop 100 bucks on an appetizer and Pellegrino. But the VIEW. And then the private beachfront is ...nothing short of magical. Staff is very kind and accomodating, as long as you exude the same kindness. Food incredible. A MUST for all Malibu visitors. a MUST.

We take great pride in our restaurants and view them as a personal reflection of ourselves. Consequently we only hire employees who are as excited about our operations as we are. Our concept is very simple. Customers enjoy dining in a spectacular environment matched with wonderful food and fully attentive service. When you visit us you will see that we have provided just that.
Stopped for dinner after watching the gorgeous Malibu sunset. The best chicken pot pie (amazing sauce) and Italian chopped salad we’ve ever had. Also shared the white bean soup and molten chocolate cake with a caramel latte - loved every bite!!! Service was also very good. Wish we lived closer!

Duke's Malibu has brought the excitement of Hawaii, Waikiki, and surfing to the mainland. The spectacular oceanfront location on Pacific Coast Highway offers over 300 feet of romantic oceanfront dining and memorabilia from both Hawaii and California surfing history. The Barefoot Bar, looking south into the lights of Santa Monica, is a great spot for drinks and casual food with friends.
A relaxed, sociable venue overlooking the Pacific. Service was very quick despite every table being taken! (And people queueing!). Food was fine. We chose fish and chips which was tasty but not high cuisine. Price was reasonable. This felt like a good place to meet friends for a relaxed and informal meal but didn’t strike as a romantic venue (though we were there at lunch time and it may have a different feel in the evening.)
