I had the privilege of having the tasting menu at Gobolem last Tuesday lunchtime and I can only say WOW! I have been to three 2 Michelin Star restaurants in London and I would say that the quality of the food here was just as fantastic or even better and I don't think this restaurant has any accolades. I have been to Spain more times than I can remember and it has always been easy to find good food, but this is by far the very best I have had there. A little far from the centre of Madrid but totally worth the effort. Highly recommend!

La Renta is a family run bar/restaurant that provides a genuine welcome. It has an authentic personality with knowledgeable and helpful staff. We enjoyed a late evening sampling a selection of sea food dishes including one of my personal favourites being razor clams. Interesting collection of paintings too!

Setting:
Setup in a new built area close to Carrefour and the other strip mall shopping centers. I visited this place 7-8 times over the last 12 months. Nice outdoor setting with huge parasol shades and high end indoor Seating. Modern stylish in the time. The owners is a couple, who also take the orders and can give you the best first hand recommendations.
Food:
It is a modern fusion of Spanish, Japanese style cuisine. Warning: don't overeat with bread and olive oil and their thick salt! Very tasty! You can get an extremely good ahi, nice fresh with a nice red center. The tuna tatami for my taste is little bit too Spanish with too much olive oil - a question of taste. The starter is for me always las alcachofas (artichokes) with a nice olive/vinegar reduction - an absolute dream come true! Also on the meat side a very good entrecôte withhomdemade olive oil fries and intermingled padronpeppers.
Desert: tartan de Santiago. Homemade!
I would always return! They remember your name and have always very kind words for you. Absolute an extremely good service!

I had an excellent dinner, a "menu degustación" with a pleasant and rich variety of dishes. The main dish (tuna fish belly) was very well prepared, and all in all I could not find anything to fault in the food. The service was pleasant, although perhaps a bit naive – but again nothing I could fault them for. My only perplexity with La Sidreria is the location – a sad little square with chockfull of car – that takes a bit away from the place's charm. But all things considered it's a place I will certainly go back to!

I decided to stop by for a snack and tried the croquettes. They were crispy on the outside with nicely flavored chicken inside.

Atuel is a nice place to enjoy breakfast in Majadahonda, nice coffee, nice argentinian style sandwiches, croissants and tarts, the inmense variety of sandwiches de migas as they are called in Argentina is incredible, and you can see players from atletico de madrid or even their coach Simeone having their breakfast there.

I would have been tempted to award this restaurant 5 stars, but as I believe the 5 stars should not be inflation but reserved for truly exceptional occasions I will stay with 4, but perhaps 4 and a half would be fairer. The service was very good and very pleasant, little to remark there. The food was very good, and it could have gotten 5 stars were it not for the dessert that was not as good as the rest. The octopus I had as a starter was very good, and so was the tunafish belly I had as a main course – they would have deserved 5 stars. The dessert however fell a bit short of it. There was nothing wrong with it, but there was nothing remarkable either. All in all a very good dining experience, with a menu that married Spanish gastronomical tradition with a touch of innovation. Innovation gentle enough not to hurt the tradition but sufficient to offer you an interesting culinary tour. The location is rather non-descript, but the decoration of the interior is rather pleasant.

My friend from Madrid took me and my family for a trip to this restaurant.
What a fantastic place - the setting was very relaxed outside. The restaurant itself is very nicely set-up and very welcoming.
Excuse me for not remembering every meal but we had a large selection of different foods, each one perfectly prepared and full of flavour.
The service was top-notch and very friendly.
I really could not find any fault in anything and we had a fantastic family meal.

I first stopped there by chance. Just drove by, and it looked welcoming. When I came is, I was surprised by the atmosphere; huge windows, white table cloth, 4 glasses per seat, white porcelain, precise lighting, dark enough to be very cozy, but with good light on the tables, to read the menus, and see what you have in your plate. A good start, but it looked expensive....
Then I looked at the menu. The best meat, "ojo de bife" is at 22.00€ a good Argentinian Malbec, at 35€, a good Rivera del Duero at 25. So, I decided to sit down. Before we ordered, they poured a very good cava. Blind tasting against average French champagne (I am French...) I would have had a hard time. We ordered sweet bread "a la parrilla", and, when they brought it, I was back in B'Aires (I have spent more than a month a year there during 30 years...). Then came the "ojo de bife", big, thick, juicy, tender, tasty, with its homemade potato chips of the kind my mother cooked when I was a kid ("papas a la rejilla", don´t miss them , with "pimientos de padron", heaven ...). Then, they bring you, on the house, dessert, and then, again on the house, a sherbet cocktail.
The staff is wonderful, smiling, traditionally dressed with white shirts, black jackets, white aprons, smiling; always there when you need them, they pack your leftovers for your dog, and some...
I live 20 mn away, and I end up there twice a month. I feel at home. It reminds me of B'Aires. ... and, a lot of sport stars live nearby, so you may sit next to Ronaldo. But this is a well-educated place, so they do not expect you to ask for autographs or a picture with them.
So, if you like good meat, they also have chicken, and fish, but who would go to a meat restaurant for that?
I go there with my wife, with our family, with friends, and everyone has just loved it... It was a good idea to stop for that Sunday lunch, 3 years ago....
Value wise, it was a good surprise, since you get a free ride on drinks, dessert and sherbet. I normally tabulate 3 times main dish per person, and it comes out at 2 times, with a good bottle of wine.

Visited here with a large family group plus a baby.
Good service throughout (a bit more chaotic when the place got jam packed and staff became a bit more overwhelmed), with nice service details (being greeted by the owner, changed cutlery and plates with every course, etc).
Food was served in generous portions, nice chunky butifarron, embutidos platter also good which is not always the case with large groups in some restaurants.
The high point came with dessert, which took a bit of time but was utterly spectacular both in quantity and quality, chocolate bomb cake, flan, cheesecake... delicious!!
Price a bit steep, location somewhat awkward but a place to come back and try the a la carte menu.
Thumbs up!!
