If you're looking for the ambiance of a countryside cafe in France, this ain't the place. (unless said French cafe is next to the TGLV train line!) What Mel's offers is great tasting home-style food in a 100% casual atmosphere. Had excellent battered, fried catfish, green beans and fried okra. Definitely will return!

My friend and I always go here after a morning of shopping in Tomball. We order the chicken salad with tortilla soup. It is all very good. And of course, we get a slice of pie for dessert. We always get the Yum Yum pie. I have no idea what's in it but its amazing!!

Family owned Authentic Mexican restaurant nestled in the back of the Woodlands. We have been in business for over five years, serving the Woodlands community. We pride ourselves in nothing but the freshest ingredients to execute our authentic flavors of Mexico. If you are looking for true Mexican food, and not the Tex Mex you see all over Houston, then search no further! We also cater special events, and have live music on Saturday evenings.
I love this restaurant! It is consistently good, especially the chicken verde enchiladas, the chunky guacamole, and the fajitas. The service is great and the local owners always come to check on us and make sure we are happy. I highly recommend this as a local favorite.

The atmosphere was awesome. If you like Renaissance fairs, this is the best there is. But, the lights went out and the toilets quit working...EVERYWHERE IN THE PARK. No portable toilets were brought in either. No water, no lights, no toilets, no communication about what to do in these dire situations. It ended up closing early that night. Come on guys, this is a major theme park. PLAN for emergencies.

This place always delivers great good and great service! The atmosphere is nice and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. Every dish we have tried has been really good. Highly recommend the pork chop and the ribeye is also good. We've...MoreHi DWelsh and thank you for the wonderful review. Very good Tex-Mex food coming from their kitchen. Big menu selection and very friendly, attentive waitstaff. Competitive menu pricing and served just as it should be.

Came in here for breakfast on a not particularly busy day. Right from the get-go everrything was slow. It took 5 minutes to get a menu, ten more minutes to place our order, and almost 25 minutes to get our food. When the food finally came out, the eggs on the eggs benedict were hard as stone. We requested new eggs and our waitress told us they would be a priority and done right away. Wrong!! It took another ten minutes. By then my friend was done his breakfast. While the food wasn't terrible, I certainly would not go in here again. There is no excuse for service this bad when the restaurant isn't even busy.

Tejas Chocolate Craftory started as a chocolate making business and then expanded to offer barbecue for lunch Tuesday - Saturday. We offer authentic Texas style barbecue slowed smoked over post oak wood. Also offered is a selection of house made chocolate bars and chocolate truffles, locally brewed craft beers and coffee.
I have been here several times now and simply cannot convey how delicious the food is at this place. It is so good, there is often a long line waiting to get in. I waited 1.5 hours for this delicious rib and it was worth every minute of the wait. Several in our party complained about waiting but once they tasted the food, agreed it was worth the wait.
I have been Later in the afternoon when the line is short or gone, but be advised... if you come late, the best items will be sold out. I’ve noticed the “burnt ends” are often on the sold out sign in the afternoon.
I think I’ve tried all of the entrees except the pork belly and I will say they were all delicious! The sides are great too. I recommend the carrot soufflé.

I eat breakfast here occasionally. Kind of like a Denny's with respect to menu. Food is ok, nothing special. Good service. The one complaint I have is ventilation. There is separate area for smokers but poor ventilation as the entire eating area reeks of smoke when people are smoking, so I don't visit as often any more.

This place could not be cuter! A tortoise habitat greets you as you approach the restaurant. Staff is very friendly and all work together as one. Food is fast and yummy! They even have a few fun little surprises throughout the restaurant! Check hours before you go as they are very limited.
