The Mad Bean is creativity that borders on madness! Always experimenting, always pursuing quality and freshness. The world of coffee can be confusing, so we like to keep our customers informed about new trends, methods, and sources. Small town USA is where we were born, it's where we get our integrity and work ethic. Proudly serving coffees, teas, smoothies, breakfast, and lunch since 2015.
Located in Historic Downtown Madison, NC, The Mad Bean caters to all age group. Whether you are a coffee lover, a wine adventurer, a music lover, a book worm, a computer fan or simply love to eat lunch or dinner kitchen style, the Mad Bean has something for everyone. The food and service is always great and the ambience is very relaxing, you almost feel like you are in your own living room. The Owners are very friendly but serious workaholics who go out of their way to make you feel at home. They really love what they do.. I was hooked to this place ever since the first time I walked in.. Stop by and visit. You will love it....

I love El Puente! My family and I have been dining here for years and I have never had a one bad experience. They have amazing dishes (I've tried several) and the best serve you'll get. Can't wait to go back again!

Tiano's is by far one of my favorite places to eat in Madison. They cook their food to perfection. They have amazing pizza, Stromboli, and a ham and cheese sub TO DIE FOR! Me and my fiancé go here for lunch at least once a week. We love it. They also have the best fries around.

Country Side has the best food and a large selection of items. It has a country atmosphere with home cooked meals. They also have the best coconut caramel brownie... I'm actually thinking about getting one now. You won't regret eating here!

I love this place, the food is great and getting better. Recently they have added a lunch buffet with pasta, pizza, salad and at the lowest price in the area. I could tell from just walking inside they have made changes. Since I love craft beer, I was delighted to learn they have Red Oak beer on tap.

Me and my girlfriend had lunch here. Pretty good BBQ at a reasonable price. Looks like the place has been here for a long time and the building is in pretty good shape and no problem with the cleanliness. Waitress was friendly and service was good.

I was excited to go to a fish restaurant nearby, but was heavily disappointed... The quality is low and each fish looks like the same, you cannot tell the difference when they are served. All are overlaid with a heavy coating and all have the same empty taste. Positive to mention was the baked potato. The restaurant has a beautiful name but sadly terrible food.

Our local Pizza Hut is the best. So inexpensive and tasty. They offer a medium one topping for $4.99 or a five topping or specialty pizza for $6.99. They have so many choices and free add-ons. Their hand tossed crust is divine. We love you guys.

The lunch specials are huge and cheap. I do recommend calling in your order as they are a little slow...but even if you have to wait, it's worth it!

Bake Me Happy is a sweet little dessert shop that makes a wide variety of fresh pastries daily, and also prepares fabulous wedding/special event cakes. We like to drop in and pick up a dozen cupcakes from time to time; if you're lucky, you might catch them on a day when they've made Mt. Dew Special cupcakes. (So scrumptious!) BMH is a little pricey, but there is no other place around that makes desserts this fine. They also have a club in which you get 10 stamps on a card and then a free item (i.e. buy 10 dozen and get the 11th free). In the past, we've been told they really need 2-4 weeks for cakes; one year we missed the deadline, one year we never got a call back to confirm an order, but last year we did manage to get a tiered cake for our son's birthday. It was worth the wait, but just a heads-up to make sure to give plenty of advance notice on special requests.
