Upscale dining...it is indeed Macon's most upscale but that doesn't say much as upscale dining choices in Macon are limited.
Quite expensive for what one gets to eat and the food was average good...not exceptional. Service is extremely slow although we had a fun, good waitress. Drinks come quickly but food comes very slowly... dessert took forever. If you have never been, go and enjoy

We had a really great dinner experience at the Dovetail. The food was excellent and the service was above and beyond the average. We would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting Macon. The waiter and manager really went out of their way to ensure we had an excellent experience.

Friends in Fort Myers Florida recommended Ingleside Village Pizza in Macon Georgia. GPS took us to the door with no surprises. We ordered a pizza with beef and cheese plus an order of bread sticks. Everything was very good. The staff was friendly and service was smooth. They serve pizzas, subs and salad.
Nicely done.

We stopped for lunch on the way from Atlanta to Jekyll Island GA. The reviews sounded good and we found this shopping center located limited service restaurant to be over the top good. The Indian and Mediterranean offerings lead to the fusion concepts. The tomato basil and tomato lentil soups were delicious with the lentil tending to spicy. Then it was on to curry cabbage, peppers, carrot and tomato salad, tabbouleh, fresh hummus, a spinach pie and the tandoorf chicken roll up sandwich. Each item was delicious fresh and the serving large. This is a place your order then carry the food to table experience but the staff helps with transport.Restrooms are clean. We did not try the desserts they were beautiful and too tempting for our diet.

I had a very enjoyable lunch at this eclectic downtown spot sitting in the upstairs balcony. I got the special which was a gyro on that particular day. Service was fast and courteous.

Had dinner here on a weeknight. We arrived around 5:30 and were seated immediately but by the time we left, the place was full and people were waiting to be seated. I had the quesadilla with grilled vegetables and chicken- it was delicious. Service was attentive. Will need to return again as there are very many menu options to choose from.

Often described as the local's favorite seafood restaurants in Macon, GA, Jim Shaw's Seafood Grill has been open since 1979. This casual eat-in restaurant and bar serves some of the best fresh seafood in town. The restaurant is only open for dinner and they offer an Early Bird menu from 5:00 till 6:00 PM with reduced prices.
Just a quick word on Jim Shaw’s Seafood in Macon, Georgia. Excellent and well prepared dishes served by friendly and caring waitstaff who make you feel welcome.
I had the good fortune to select the crab cakes dinner which was really, really good. The crab cakes were among the best I’ve had in Georgia, rivaling crab cakes from restaurants on the Chesapeake Bay. I thoroughly enjoyed the tasty and adequately sized crab cakes which came with two sides.
The homemade Tartar sauce served is the very best I’ve tasted, so good. I recommend Jim Shaw’s and know anyone making the drive will enjoy their meal and have a wonderful experience .

You won’t find a better looking our tasting meal in town. You are served cafeteria style but don’t be discouraged about that you will have more than you can eat before you get to the end of the line. Once you sit down you are greeted by very attentive servers who never let your tea glass run dry.

We are Ocmulgee Brewpub. Ocmulgee because of our city’s historic national monument, the Ocmulgee Indian Mounds and brewpub because we handcraft the best brews and burgers around. Our team set out to go above and beyond what other breweries and burger joints have seemingly perfected, by going back to our city’s roots where living off the land and creating things from scratch were a way of life. We’ve married craft beer with delectable gourmet burgers, hand-cut fries and superfood salads. From carriage parts to mountain bikes, makers of all kinds have inhabited the building at 484 Second Street and now it’s our turn.
Cool place. They have awesome burgers and fresh cut fries. You can have your burger your way or try one of their specialty burgers. A large selection of micro-brewed beers. Something there for everyone from stout to light. I like the long tables so you can accommodate a large party. The service was great and the price is reasonable.

We used this establishment for a birthday celebration. Reservations were made a few weeks in advance, then we called twice before the event to ensure that the reservations were still good since we had such a large party (reserved for 20). First when we got there, we were told that some of the party had been seated, which wasn't true. Then it took them over an hour and a half to seat us because they failed to reserve the party room for us. The hostess was rude and they never checked on us. I will never visit this establishment or any other Carrabas again.
