Mackinaw City, at the northern tip of the Michigan mitten, sits at one end of the Mackinac Bridge to Michigan's Upper Peninsula, as well as seriving as the docking place for ferries to Mackinac Island, a National Historic Landmark and State Park. Just a short boat ride from the mainland, Mackinac Island is a journey back in time, home to "Historic Downtown," a recreation of village life in 18th-century Michigan, and Fort Mackinac, first occuppied by the British during the Revolutionary War.

After a long day on the highway and another one projected for the next day, the Chippewa Room provided a welcome respite. Simply broiled whitefish was extraordinarily good; my companion's more complicated preparation was less so, but the fish itself was extremely fresh. Bakery, Gift Shop, Coffee
Walking the streets and needed a stop. Had a iced/blended coffee (white chocolate flavor) and a smoothie. 4.00 each. Great, friendly service. Nice seating area. Clean bathroom (no baby changing table though). Stopped in the prior day for a regular coffee (2.25) and donut. Donuts are LARGE.

The older woman at the register was so rude. They should not have her helping customers. I went there in the morning on my birthday and couldn't wait to get out of there. I left feeling like I was a huge inconvenience to the entire staff. My drink wasn't made right either and I was not going to ask them to remake it...what a bummer:(

Don’t leave without buying some of this famous fudge. Salted caramel is a must try. Would not come all this way without visiting and buying out favorite fudge.

Stopped there in February for a meal. They advertised great chili. It was just exactly how they described it. One of the best tasting chili I've had in a long time. Glad I ordered a bowl and not a cup. My husband had a perch sandwich. Very good also.
We were there on Valentines Day and a lot of people were there. Thinking they were mostly locals, that is always a good sign for a restaurant

I had a chocolate and hot fudge shake made with chocolate ice cream. Heavenly! No inside seating but nice tables and benches outside. Very friendly and fast service!

We stop here every time we go to and from the FIRST robotics events in Escanaba and Sault Ste Marie each year. Everything we have had has been good but the highlights are the maple sundaes. They are amazing!Dear Briankeh, We are so glad you enjoy our Michigan Maple Sundaes. Real Michigan maple syrup is what makes them soooo delicious! Good luck to your team! Kind Regards, Katie Jaggi Audie's Restaurant

In a place known for great fudge, this place was delicious. I loved to watch them make the fudge (tough job), tasted many flavors (chocolate with nuts was my personal favorite, if a bit boring. Prices are what I would expect from a gourmet fudge place.

A family-friendly and VERY CLEAN restaurant, completely remodeled inside and out, features the best hand-tossed pizza, with doughs and sauces made in-house daily. Many other choices, including Ribs, Entree Salads, Great Unique Sandwiches, Pastas, Burgers, even Pasties ... and a glamorous full Bar featuring local wines and Michigan micro-brews. Family owned, with Owners on-site to assure your complete satisfaction. Always the top-rated restaurant in the area per TripAdvisor!! - #1 for 2010,2011,2012,and so far in 2013! Thank you patrons.
We stopped in here last week for a quick bite at lunchtime and decided to go here because they had such great yelp reviews. The best way to order their pizzas are to do one of their specialty pizzas because it is actually going to be cheaper than customizing it with just a couple of toppings. I had look for coupons previously for them and had not found any. OF course an hour after we ate I found a Mackinac city guide at one of the shops at Mackinaw crossings and they were the only ones that have a coupon for pizza palace giving you two free salads with the purchase of a pizza. We would've love to take advantage of the salad but oh well now we know to look for next time. Make sure to do some research because the brochures that the hotel gives you for local hotspots and dining didn't have them in it. Pizza was a good value had a great taste we would definitely be back!
