I was visiting my friend and colleague Ken Wajda at his studio sale and met the owner of Smokin’Dave’s. I mentioned that I’d be over to watch part of the Broncos’ game. They have a really good beer selection. I read the menu and I’m not much of a wet bbq fan since the sauce is always an X factor. Their best deal are the platters. For one meat and two sides is $13.95 - I tried the ribs (4 bones). They had a great rub and a light sauce, the perfect mix for a dry rub fan, such as I.

We were driving from Estes Park to Denver and the Pie sign was screaming my name. Delicious cherry pie. Enjoyed trying the different ciders and juices (Rasberry was my favorite). We even got some goodies to take home. Service was great.

Every so often one walks into a cafe or restaurant and instantly feel that the staff takes tremendous pride in the place. So it was here where two baristas greeted us so warmly we were convinced they were the owners. We had just rolled into Lyons from a few days in Rocky Mountain National Park. The cafe was filled with locals meeting, enjoying each other's company, or pausing over a local paper. We could not have felt more welcome and intend to return to Lyons soon. We had a delicious egg scramble and excellent coffee.

Since 2004, the Stone Cup family has been greeting folks with delicious food & drink and warm, friendly service. You'll find organic and free trade coffee, teas and espresso along with amazing fresh baked goods and smoothies. Plus our kitchen offers healthy, hearty breakfast and lunch, made with skill and soul. We'll do our best to wet your whistle, fill your belly and warm the cockles of your heart.
This summer, the Stone Cup stopped serving breakfast at 10:30 on the weekends. Well, on Saturday and Sunday we aren't really ready for breakfast before that! So, hopefully this is just a summer thing.Although we don't serve our traditional breakfast items on the weekends, we do have a fabulous brunch menu, which includes several breakfast options including Biscuits and Gravy. Sure hope you'll give it a try!

We are a Fresh Fast and Local Family Restaurant and Ice Cream Shop. We are serving up goodness with delicious Cheeseburgers , Home Cut French Fries, Phillys, Ruebens and Glacier Ice Cream made right down the road in Beautiful Boulder Colorado.
While driving back out of the mountains towards the flatlands, we decided that this little ice cream joint looked like an excellent stop. Oh, was it ever! The ice cream was monstrously rich and flavorful, compelling you to savor it instead of merely bolting it down. The "Peanut Butter Bomb" was just that: a bomb!
It is a small spot, with what looked to be local kids running it. Be patient. Service was rushed, but efficient.
Mark this place down as a stopping point.

We came upon this bakery when driving through Lyons and were delighted it was as charming inside as the exterior hinted at. The small bakery is painted a fantastic green shade with artistic, whimsical touches. One is immediately drawn to their confection case which is full of tempting treats like individual flourless chocolate cakes for one, French macarons (which are gluten-free and some of the best I’ve ever had) in flavors like orange-chocolate or raspberry, as well as artistic chocolates from a semi-local chocolatier. Baked goods and wedding cakes may be ordered too. They have drip coffee to purchase and an engraved wood top table that displays the Colorado flag (it’s really cool). There are wrought iron tables and chairs outside on the street to bask in the sun and enjoy your purchase. Definitely a fun and delicious stop!

We've recently visited the Lyons Fork multiple times. We went for brunch and an early dinner before the Parade of Lights. It's a surprise find in Lyons with upscale cuisine that's still approachable.
The truffle fries were amazing. The Bloody Mary's are on point. I had a duck hash that was out of this world. The food feels comforting and special, with lots of homemade charcuterie and other local finds.
The interior is fun with brightly colored chairs mismatched at tables. Artist's work hung on the walls. It's funky but in an inviting way. The Lyons Fork really offers food-forward cuisine in a relaxed, local-feeling place.

Four of us had lunch there today. Cute little place. Not good food though. Gumbo tasted like thick brown gravy - but the three shrimp were good. The nachos were served cold (and shouldn’t have been) but our friendly waitress replaced them. My partner had thee sides - collard greens (the worst he’s ever had), green beans that tasted like they were frozen and dirty rice that was just OK. I had a side of mac and cheese which was disappointing. Sorry to write such a negative review but four out of four of us left not having a good experience.

Lyons, CO restaurant featuring quality tacos and Mexican food made from scratch. Mezcal and tequila cocktails, ceviche, enchiladas, posole and more.
Robin and I visited Mojo's in Lyons for lunch today. Robin had chicken enchiladas and I had a steak flank taco with a cup of chicken tortilla soup. Everything was SO tasty and the service was friendly and efficient. Robin's rice was delicious.
As luncheon-ators, we can assure you, we will be back!

Julie's Thai Kitchen serves authentic Thai cuisine. All meals are prepared from starch with fresh ingredients. We are open: Monday thru Saturday from 11:00am-9:00pmSunday from 12:00pm-9:00pm
We arrived to a half empty restaurant and asked to be seated outside - table placed on carpark adjacent to a vehicle - utilizing hindsight, we should have left then. Menu and water took about 10 minutes, with the 1 entree taking about 15 minutes. After about another 30 minutes, we asked when the mains were being served - another 20 minutes - by now we were the only customers left. Multiple locals arrived and collected their take-away food. The food was great when it finally arrived, but if you are not a local, forget a sit down meal at this restaurant - order take-out and eat it elsewhere or give it a miss. Such a pity the service was so slow and bad as the food was great.
