A city with a lively history, Lviv (also spelled L’viv and Lvov) in Ukraine’s west was founded in the 13th century and has changed flags many times in the years since, having been part of Poland, Austria-Hungary and the Soviet empire. The city’s well-preserved historic center is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has attractions like the Market Square (Ploshcha Rynok). Climb the tower at the town hall for a great city view. The Lviv Opera House is dazzling and hosts world-class performances.

This restaurant is a rare gem and is a popular place in the lovely city of Liviv, Ukraine. The interior decoration and the general architecture is very impressive as is the food. Service was very good. Definitely worth a visit!

We had a wonderful dinner here with our friends. Staff was very friendly, professional and courteous. Food was served quickly and ever thing was delicious. The dress code here should be business casual at the least. Prices were very reasonable considering the ambience and presentation and quality of food.
On our return visit next year this restaurant will be on our list.

Ramen soup now is a huge trend, so I wanted to check it out somewhere)
I found out that Culinary Studio Kryva Lypa has it in it's menu - and I went to taste it there
Big love to the chief - it was AMAZING!!!!
And the atmosphere got even cozier after interior renewal!!!
I believe this is the most delicious cuisine in Lviv!)

Being in the first place "The Most Expensive Galician Restaurant", many of the restaurants in Lviv have unique cultural and conceptual identities. One can feel and realize that after a few experience. This one differs itself among its kind with "secrecy" concept. It is a "secret" place in parallel with its original Masonic club identity, it has a shocking "secret entrance" with an unusual welcomer, a "secret toilet" cabin etc.
I recommend the visitors not to read the details of this place that much and just go there! After all one will pay the bill not only for wonderful meals and wines, professional service but also for the surprising effects...
Tips: When we were there we never thought of bargain off the price nor have Tourist/Local Card with which one can pay %90 less! So keep in mind having such a card before!
At the weekend nights after 20:30 you may listen to Ms. Oksana's lovely piano music...

We took some spinach and cheese pliatski (looks like strudel, but has much less dough) and some with apple and pear. The price was rather high, but The foods were just amazing! You don't even need any sauce, but they serve some separately. We didn't like the sauce as it was rather watery.
And be prepared for a long line, especially in the afternoon and evening.

This story began long time ago. A sad event happened in 1826 when the old Lviv City Hall collapsed. The only permanent residents of the City Hall were the trumpet player and his family. The ruins buried two soldiers, five workers and the trumpet player. Since then the trumpet player's family left the City Hall and moved next to the house of the Lviv clockmaker in the Jewish area. It was close to the City Hall and safer. The municipal workers did not earn a lot, that's why they had to do what they did the best they could in their free time. The clockmaker was a wine expert and also baked the best bread in the city. And the trumpet player baked the most delicious Carpathian river trout (pstruh is the Ukrainian Hutsul name for river trout).
We really loved coming here just before it was getting dark. Sitting outside and picking at the bread boards while having a nice wine and listening to the trumpet player.
We didn't have a main course here we went elsewhere but it's great for wine and nibbles.

Very tasty barbecue menu, especially beef. It is very good for friend to take a meat-plate and a grilled fegetables. Also very tasty potatoes with creamy sous. You can see how everything is prepared. Almost always a lot of people. Sometimes need to wait 15 minutes or more. The atmosphere is interesting - you can see a lot of tipes of medieval tortures. Executioner is always inside and makes some show
Not cheap but not very expensive. The one minus the toilet is black and Dirty, but It's because a lot of people.

No need to cough (Arsenal), as you walk in you are greeted by the sight of racks of ribs on an open grill setting the stage for what is accurately described as meat and beer! (no guesswork needed for the menu)
Plenty of bibs and napkins provided!

So glad we gave this place a try! They have all sorts of local food: soups, fresh bread, meat, polenta, drinks... all super good and all at incredibly low prices! The environment is very cosy, although a bit hard to find: maybe they should advertize it better from the outside.
