We were told about this restaurant and their famous chocolate cake... The food was average to poor.... We ordered a salad, risotto and spaghetti with "Huancaina" sauce with "lomo" saltado.... The “lomo saltado” with the spaghetti was terrible. “Lomo saltado” was not “lomo” (lomo supposed to be Fillet stake), it was too hard and we couldn't eat it and the spaghetti was a step to be too bland. The Artichoke risotto was OK. Salad was OK too. Desserts we tried Oreo cheesecake, chocolate “tres leches” and chocolate cake. The fudge on the chocolate cake was nice, everything else was average to poor. Prices are not expensive and you get a lot... but is definitely not quality food. If you are around, just get the chocolate cake. (Plates are big enough for two)

Maras, the name we have assumed for the past 8 years, is the commitment to attend carefully to our guests by offering high quality food with excellent taste.Maras has been named in honor of our cultural and historical identity. A name that goes back deep in our culture and represents our ancestral history. Maras is a village 10 km away from the city of Cuzco, known historically for being the place where the brothers Ayar undertake the journey in search of new lands and later founded the empire of the Incas. In Maras there are also well-known salt mines close to the town of the same name. In this area developed CHANPATA culture 300 A.D - 900 A.D whose most flourishing activity was the extraction and distribution of salt, a vital ingredient, basic and irreplaceable for human consumption.
Service is very good, warm welcome. Place is clean and airy. Splendid tiradito, good grilled fish and very disappointing causa de cangrejo. Owner approached table and was very interested in the opinion of my blond friends; odd attitude, not uncommon but very disagreable

We went to La Huerta on a Sunday afternoon with friends and totaled 8 adults and 3 children. The food was good but expensive. Chanco al palo, for example, was 85 soles (approx.) which seemed pretty steep. The setting is nice and the grounds include lots of games and play areas for kids, including horses for a small fee.
Service was ok but they kept bringing us dishes we did not ask for.

Reyes restaurant is located in Lurin, 40 kms to the South of Lima . The most typycal food from Lurin are chicharron (fried pork) and sopa seca . Sopa seca is carapulcra ( dried potato stew), noodle with a top of pork.
Dried potatoe is called "papa seca". This is an ancient peruvian way, from The Inca's time to preserve the potato.
This restaurant offers a limited assortment of plates, chicharron, sopa seca, duck with rice, papa a la huancaina (boiled potato with spicy cheese cream). They also offer sweet wine, another speciality of the region.
There are many places to eat chicharron, and Reyes is a good one, but "Sarita", very near to Reyes is the best place to eat chicharron.
However, regarding "sopa seca", Reyes is the best place, i would say in Lima, in Peru and in the World to eat sooa seca.
As I said before, this is a rustic place but absolutely tasty. Also the way that the food is being cooked with firewood is the real traditional way my grandmother used to cook. (My dad was born in Lurin)
Best traditional food in Lurin. Price is unbelievable cheap.
Also on Sundays there is a food fair at Lurin's park, where you can eat delicious traditional desserts.

Me gusta mucho a pesar de que no tienen gran variedad de sabores de helados como en otros sitios. Sin embargo, lo que ofrecen es bastante bueno.

We are a Steak and Hamburger grill that offers the best quality of beef available in the world!!! We only work with "Certified Angus Beef" on all of our plates. We also offer Chicken breast plate and a Portobello Burger. You will also find several Homebrewd beers, Pisco, and nice wines. Reservations: 955 546 571 or 944 803 111.
DELICIOUS burgers. Cooked to perfection and the fried yellow potatoes are addictive. The best burger I have eaten in Peru. The service is also outstanding and I loved the atmosphere. It is a bit off the beaten path so you have to ask directions while in Punta Hermosa. Oh, and the vegetarians, the grilled veggie plater was amazing as well.

Review: La Rústica, Pachacamac
Date: 27-28 March 2016
Overall Rating: 5/10 average, well under par, could do better
Future tour inclusion: not likely; improvement required
Price: 5/10 poor; overpriced, not value for money, no discount offered despite problems during stay
Proximity: 5/10 poor; isolated, you will be a captive audience at mercy of overpricing
Staff: 5/10 average; general lack of communication, have they taken your order ir forgot?, left waiting in restaurant for lunch buffet, menu not provided when requested at dinner
Management: 5/10 average; lack of communication, limited industry knowledge, room not available on time, water service failed mid-shower, only one roll toilet paper, extra guests forced to prepay lunch despite group stay, pool chemicals added and no warning pool out of bounds
Safety: 5/10 average; park needs renovation, wooden fort unstable, zipline unsupervised, wooden rails loose on foot bridge over pool
Security: 1/10 poor; glass sliding room doors not secure, slide when 'locked', missing key for second room external door.
Cleanliness: 6/10 ok; not as clean as it could be with the number of staff available
Food: 5/10 average to poor; buffet chupe (soup) was watery, had to return some tainted chancho (bbq pork)
Beverage: 8/10 excellent; frozen chicha was good, chilcano and pisco sour also nice
