Stylish, local eatery serving great food and good Portuguese wines. Daily changing menu and specials of the day. Delicious desserts and homemade ice cream. Extensive cocktail list and aperitifs for pre dinner drinks. South facing outdoor dining Terrace open in warmer months. Our staff are well imformed, friendly and multi lingual and the whole team is dedicated to making your dining experience really special.
We visited A Quinta after seeing the trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed. This is one restaurant I would recommend to anyone and everyone who visits Portugal and stays within driving distance. Food was delicious & plentiful, wine great too, lovely atmosphere and very friendly and hospitable staff. Such a lovely evening - thank you!

family-oriented typical restaurant serving regional cuisine dishes Algarve and Portuguese cuisine , which is not overlooked the Mediterranean heritage . The decor is rustic and cozy atmosphere. There is a wide variety on the menu of dishes as well with a very complete wine cellar and with excellent options. The property also has a craft shop and a wine shop where guests can purchase a small souvenir or a bottle of wine to enjoy later.
Just had a lovely meal here. Decided to have a drive as the weather was poor. After a lovely scenic drive through the forested Mountains, we arrived at Casa dos Presuntos. What a surprise! It's a delightful rustic restaurant. We were warmly welcomed. On the table were some tapas to start, cheese, ham and salami - a delicious start. The owner served us quickly and efficiently and recommended the roast lamb and Turkey steak. Both were tasty and went down a treat. I think I've found a new favourite. The drive back to Sao Bras in the rain was a bit tricky so I'd recommend going in the light. We chose this restaurant because it was open all day and we like to eat early in the evening. Well worth the beautiful drive.

This was another recommendation from our Airbnb host, which we enjoyed. The restaurant is situated a few kilometres outside of Loule' so you would need a car to get there. We sat inside as the weather had cooled a bit and were lucky to get a table without a booking. We were surprised to hear English being spoken at all the tables.
We opted for the rabbit with prunes and the Iberian pork, both were served in saucepans with lids and were huge helpings. If we visited again, I would have a starter and then share a main course.
Service was good and the interior tastefully furnished. It was probably the most expensive meal we had while in the Algarve but worth the experience.

We ate here twice during our four day stay at Hotel Jardim, the first night, there were15 of us including three children, the owners rearranged tables so we could all sit together,no rush to order, certain items on the menu were explained to us with no fuss, all the food and drink when served went to the right person, very professional!,The food itself was real quality as proven by the empty plates.Cannot fault this place, the staff/owners even organised a singsong for my grandson's birthday on this night, our second visit was almost a copy of the first except there wasn't quite as many of us.Would certainly recommend this place!

Typical Greek restaurant ,with authentic Greek dishes
My first experience at a Greek restaurant of this type, where you put your faith in the chef to bring pleasant surprises to your table throughout the meal. I can honestly say that this is now in my personal "top ten" lifetime dining experiences thus far. A big part of the pleasure is simply the anticipation of what's to come -- kind of like a suspenseful movie -- and then getting your tastebuds rewarded for the trust you've invested. This guy is a major talent who "makes love" to his guests with homemade, authentic Greek flavors and ingredients of superior quality and freshness. After a two-hour meal, I worried about my ability to walk back to the room considering how pleasantly stuffed I was. A dining experience that alone justifies a visit to Loulé. 'Nuff said!

We are a traditional restaurant specialized in grilled meats. The piri piri chicken it’s our speciality. Simple foods with great flavors.
A traditional portuguese ,no frills,no pomp,no fuss, restaurant,,serving fresh cooked food ,would recommend the peri peri chicken chips, rice,,fresh tasty salad,, This place really is a hidden gem,,very popular with portuguese and foreigners alike,,after you visit here you will question why you pay premium prices for not so premium produce in surrounding restaurant's ie vale do lobo, quinta área ect,,,! You leave here feeling Guilty that you haven't played enough,,!

We went to Loule to buy a copper Cataplana, whilst there visited an excellent wine shop were the lady recommended we eat at Tasquinha da Malta. The restaurant was very busy with many of the Loule locals eating their food with real passion.
The Massinha da Peixe wasn't on the menu but the owner asked if we would wait half an hour and he would make it happen. Some green olives and a simple salad of white salad onions, sardines, garlic and olive oil sprinkled with parsley arrived at the table along with a bottle crisp dry Quinta do Carqueijal white wine, just perfect.
The huge terracotta pot arrived filled with an array of fresh seafood, tomato broth, coriander and tiny elbow pasta. It was simply delicious, every mouthful full of flavour.
The entire meal with wine and mineral water was 40 Euros!
This is a busy restaurant with only the owner and a waitress out front, don't expect everything to happen in a hurry, it just can't.
We dream of our next visit.

Since 1984, Bocage is a local restaurant with a cosy and familiar atmosphere, where you can enjoy the best traditional Portuguese food, with delicious daily specials, grilled meat and fresh fish every days. Local at the historical part of Loulé city.
We had often been told that this was the top rated family-run restaurant in Loule so we much looked forward to our visit. It was certainly very popular and crowded and hence quite noisy but a good atmosphere. The result was mixed. The rather brief menu gave little description of what was coming so some imagination was required. The prawns, Jumbo prawns, liver and steaks were all delicious and well cooked. The calamari starter and main course were very tough and uninteresting. The veal was partly good and partly very tough and the vegetables were plain and uninspiring. We will not rush to go back
