A Mediterranean restaurant with a Southern twist. Delicious scratch-made meals and superb and friendly service.
We visited Obrigado for Sunday brunch while in the area to visit wineries.
My wife had the Eggs Chesapeake, while I had seafood (salmon) Eggs Benedict. Both were reasonably priced ($15) and included potatoes and breakfast breads. We added mimosas ($6.50 each) to complete the meal. Both dishes were prepared well, tasty, and worth the money.
Service (Moriah) was excellent, and the atmosphere very pleasant. Limited outdoor seating is available, but given the restaurant is on Main Street (with a fair amount of traffic for a Sunday), we opted to stay inside.
We'll likely return to sample their dinner options.

Wow. What a disappointment. Wanted to stop at Obrigado's on our way through town for a nice Saturday lunch not knowing they don't open on Saturdays until dinner. So, conveniently right next door (actually attached) is Floozies. They seemed pretty busy so we figured it must be a good local restaurant. Not so. It's available on Saturdays is all and because Obrigado's was closed everyone must have had the same idea we had. First off, the place is very noisy and the tables are always in someone's line of travel, be it the waitresses or patrons. And speaking of waitresses, ours was an elderly lady, short and was one of the grouchiest, least friendly servers we have ever experienced. I can appreciate that waiting tables is a hard job, especially when your busy but what would it take to smile and at least try to engage in a pleasant exchange while serving the very people paying for your food and service. She added to the bad experience. And then we waited. And waited. And waited. My wife for a chicken salad sandwich and me for eggs and potato's. When the food finally did arrive I was short 1 of my three eggs, the chicken salad was bland and tasteless and my daughters silver dollar pancakes were cold and mushy. I should have followed my instinct and walked out when we had the chance. I wish I could say something good about this place but with the noise, the hustle and bustle, the mediocre food, and the terrible service I really can't. There is a cool looking family restaurant right up the sidewalk called Carrie's soul Food which will be our next visit.

Wonderful soft serve ice cream, delicious shakes and overwhelming sundaes. My kids love the dairy wagon and beg me to take them there all the time.

The chef clearly knows how to cook but I felt like he was trying too hard and that there was just too much going on with the dishes so you lost out on the highlights. The scallops for example in the appetizer were cooked perfectly and delicious, but then there were several things on top of a risotto, that just made it too busy. The lamb was perfectly cooked at medium rare, but then no special sauce - only jarred mint jelly - which I love, but felt out of place with upscale presentation. The desert was again the same - the brulee well executed, but simply too much going on to appreciate it.

We took a drive to Louisa and luckily chose this place for lunch. We really liked the place. It has such a friendly, happy feel to it. Not a fancy place, but a place you feel you can just kick back and enjoy. The people working there, who I understand are mostly family, were great. I don't think I've ever felt more welcome in a restaurant. We chose our usual chori pollo (they call it something else), and it was probably the best we've found. It was also reasonably priced. They did have a Sunday breakfast buffet for around $9, we, however, were a bit late and they were just closing it up. It looked like lots of locals chose it for brunch after church. Being in a strip mall, there is plenty of easy parking, and it also looked like they had a full bar. If you like Mexican food, you can't go wrong here.

The lunch buffet is fantastic! There is a wide variety of freshly made oriental foods on the buffet. They also have a wide range of choices off of the menu. I've never had a bad menu here and most selections have been very good.

Joe's offers a wide variety of Italian dishes, pizza, steaks, seafood, salads, calzones, chicken dishes, burgers, subs, appetizers and desserts.Joe's Place is a family owned & operated restaurant, with independence, dedication, attention to detail, and caring that comes from the heart.
Whether you're just passing thru or are a "local" Joe's Place is the place to go for great food at reasonable prices. The cheese pizza is great and even a better deal if you buy his two large pizza's. We frequent Joe's Place when we're in Louisa or at Lake Anna. Awesome food. Always hot and fresh. Sure, Joe (Sal is the owner) had to raise his prices on some items, but it's still a great value. My son and husband love the steak and cheese sub with everything. So fresh, delicious and a large is a large -- not some 3/4 sub roll like some other places use. The pizza rolls (that what we call them) at $2.50 is a great value. We've tried the BLT and BBQ, both good, but we always come back to the cheese pizza, steak and cheese sub and a side order of fries. The sweet ice tea is good too. Josie, Sal's daughter is a staple at this place and is now the waitress/cashier. We've been going here for 10+ years. Same great food quality and same great family. Don't let the looks deceive you. Great menu selection. You won't be disappointed, No Debit or Credit Cards accepted. Cash or check. And no delivery, but they do a slammin' business in pick-up / take out orders on a Friday night!

Quite honestly, we found this place by accident while we were staying at Shenandoah Crossing. We got turned around in the dark looking for a restaurant near the facility, and drove probably 50 miles to happen upon this place which is only 10-12 miles from the Blue Green facility at Shenandoah Crossing. The food is excellent, prices more than reasonable, and the staff is super friendly. What we found "unique" about the place is its "Kid Zone", which is a large room filled with video games for the kids. Obviously, this restaurant is very "kid friendly", and seems to be a great place to eat if you have kids in tow. We also noted that they have a large banquet room, and our very friendly server noted that the do banquets and wedding receptions. We'll definitely go back when we return to Shenandoah Crossing sometime.

The food and service were good. We went for a late lunch and arrived about 15 minutes before the buffet was supposed to close. I was hesitant to have the buffet for fear that they would be anxious to clear the buffet away... Pleasantly surprised that they did not rush us at all. BUT, in case readers are not aware, the Va. Department of Health posts violation reports online and, honestly, if I had read before going, I would have been afraid to go. They have had a number of critical citations in 2012. I'm just sayin...

Have looked forward to checking out Carrie's Soul Food. I read several reviews indicating that the service isn't very professional and that turned out to be something that influenced my opinion of the experience.
Unfortunately I was stuck at home but a kind friend got carry out. I phoned in the order and let the person taking it know when it would be picked up. She seemed ok with that, saying that she would put it in 20 minutes or so before pickup. That didn't happen: the order wasn't put in until he arrived so there went an unnecessary amount of wait time.
I got a cheeseburger and it was all right; my side order was green beans and they were straight out of a can.
My friend got a fish sandwich. It was enormous! He had asked for potato salad but got fries and didn't feel like hanging around to have the mistake corrected.
Best thing we concluded: it's cheap! You couldn't eat at McDonald's for these prices.
