Alomond butterhorms and cinnamon rolls are still on the menu but great treats have also been added: hand pies, salted dark chocolate chip cookies, flakey crossiants, and the most flaky biscuits ever. Breads continue to be very good. Great place to grab breakfast, snacks, breads, and treats

In the heart of Lopez Village, Isabel's uses only organic coffee and milk. Our baristas will caffeinate you, whip you up a frothy cocoa, warm you with chai, cool you with freezes and milkshakes, feed you treats, and provide material for that "Great American Novel." Outdoor seating, magazines and free wi-fi.
The house roast coffee and iced mocha were both very good. Staff was very hospitable. Brought home a bag of their beans.

A DESTINATION. Lopez Island is a treasured gem located within the San Juan Islands, in the beautiful Puget Sound in Washington State. Lopez is home to breathtaking beaches, scene-stealing wildlife, and the friendliest of folk. Nestled in the heart of Lopez Village, with a waterfront view and a spacious deck, HAVEN has an imaginative menu that caters to all cravings and gracious service with casual sophistication. Our warm, welcoming, and comfortable atmosphere will inspire your memorable experience. Flavorful vegetarian, seafood, and international options, coupled with new renditions of some of your classic favorites, fresh in-house baked goods, and fabulous drinks, there is a plentiful selection for all to enjoy.
We had dinner outside at Haven Kitchen with a lovely view of the water. We had spent the day discovering Lopez Island: were wind blown, sun kissed, and pleasantly weary. Dinner was shared plates of apps (Caramelized Onion Brie and Bruschetta), salad (Kale and Brussel Sprout Caesar), and Fish Tacos. We finished up with a mouth-watering Chocolate Gateau. Haven Kitchen will be our choice any time we are lucky enough to be on Lopez Island!

Vits'a is a seasonal cafe open May through September 7 days a week.. Primarily a lunch spot, with outdoor seating. Tuesday evenings we have wood fired pizza and Friday evenings we have wine tastings, Saturday nights we do Tacos al Pastor with local porlk. Other than that, we close at 5. People get dinner to go. We have a large wine selection and everything is made on site with local ingredients. Dog friendly, all credit cards accepted, free wifi, wine by the glass, beer on tap, no hard alcohol,
Friday wine tastings are fun. So are pizza Tuesdays and taco Saturdays. These are great supplements to the staples served at Vita's - risotto cakes, chicken skewers, panini, salads, phyllo with toppings. Excellent selection of wines. Open all week now that it is summer.

For some reason this review did not publish the first time I submitted it and for that I apologize as so many Trip Advisor followers who visited Lopez Island missed this wonderful food option inside the Lopez Village Market. As with most restaurants on Lopez, they source their food locally. There are many farms and ranches here so the food is the freshest you will taste. The hamburger which is medium priced tastes as good as any thing you would pay almost double for in Seattle. We enjoyed lunch so much, we came back for dinner and breakfast the next morning. Most all of the food options on the island are very good, but when price is a consideration, Bonnie's top them all. To be sure I am still accurate, I called them before submitting this review.

I had a hamburger here that was not hamburger. I tasted it all day long......and it wasn't a taste that I enjoyed. Fortunately I was wise enough not to consume the whole thing, even though I was rather hungry.
My wife had a salad with chicken in it, and the chicken was so chewy that it had to be from a rooster......not sure how else chicken could be so tough and difficult to cut and eat. The greens in the salad did not even taste fresh.
We had many wonderful meals while on Lopez Island, this place was the only exception.

They have fudge and fun trinkets abound. I tried their watermelon fudge ) (wasn't my vibe) and root beer(amazing!). The ice cream shop right next door is super yummy. There's a beach nearby and it's a beautiful location.

Amazing tasting food in a really enjoyable setting! I don't often give 5 star reviews! Fwiw, its somewhere much more geared for grown ups than very young kids but we knew that going in it would be a more refined tasting menu and with friendly...MoreDavid, We are honored that you gave us a 5 star rating! So glad you enjoyed your good evening at Ursa Minor in August. Hope to see you in again! Much thanks!

I needed bootlaces during a recent stay on Lopez, and this was the place (to get pretty much everything). Some reviewer complained of high prices, but that's not been our experience over the past three years of periodic visits. Large selections of produce, meat, seafood (one we got positively amazing local lamb, please more!) For a grocery this size, an excellent selection of beer and wine (I think four beers on tap for the in-store deli) plus a shelf of liquor. (Now this is an only-on-Lopez: we checked out and the cashier needed to double-check a price, so she went back into the aisles, leaving the entire front of the store -- with its entire selection of liquor bottles in the front glass window completely unguarded) and, this being Lopez, no one bats an eye.
