We visited the Dorf Haus on a bus trip outing and they handled our group of 50 hungry and thirst people quickly and efficiently. Several German beers on tap cooled us on a warm summer day followed by a meal of genuine German specialties. Many of the group had visited here before and based on this experience many will return again. you would have to travel many miles to find an old world experience like the Dorl Haus.

Small town cafe that caters to locals and visitors in a scenic area. Low-key place to dine and chat over home-cooked meals made from scratch by the owner.
If I have been here once I have been 200 times in the past 20 years, mostly because the nearest competition is 12 miles away. It used to be Casey's, however she sadly passed away. That said, the eggs come the way you ordered them, the coffee is hot, the owner/cook will usually smile and give you a friendly greeting, and you are not likely to be thrown out. On Friday night there is a fish special that is a great value, the down side is that there is no beer or wine. Even if there was competition, I would go back, usually you are going to see someone you know, and that's a good thing.

We visited on a cold day in November. It was lunch, and very busy but they handled it well. It didn't take long to get our food. I had an enormous burger with wild mushrooms. Their white chicken chili was good too. Great view of the river, and clean bathrooms. If I find myself in Prairie du Sac again, I will totally eat their again.

This is a great spot for waterfront dining. They have nightly dinner specials that are good deals, especially if you are hungry. When we went, it was midweek fish fry, with all you can eat haddock (baked or beer batter fried). Very tasty. The were pretty busy and a bit understaffed, so we had to wait a bit, but the lakefront views made it tolerable. A relaxing place.

I've only been to this place once, but the day we did stop in for lunch, they were serving a very good baked chicken, with potatoes and gravy and cabbage. The food was excellent, and not your typical bar fare. Otherwise is seemed a pretty standard Wisconsin bar, friendly, a good place to stop in for a beer and a burger.

It's about time we have a fun place like this near the Ferry. This is a great addition for tourists and for local families alike. Great Chocolate Shoppe ice cream. Super variety. Friendly, smiling faces with fun conversation. Delicious pizza!

We wanted to have some food at a local restaurant as we were visiting a friend in Wisconsin, He took us to Cowbells. Had a great breakfast and as we were finishing the owner was brining out fresh homemade pies.. I had the Cherry and the owner asked If I wanted it done as hide the pie. I said yes and he covered the pie in whip cream. It was great. The next day we went back for dinner and had the homemade Salisbury Steak with gravy and Mooooshed Potatoes. It was great.
