Yiasou Cafe has served The Catskills and surrounding areas for over 11 years. From authentic Greek-Mediterranean cuisine to American classics and everything in between. Leave room for our homemade ice creams, cakes, pastries and tarts that are the talk of the county! Also try our other restaurant Lucky Boy, which is located in Lawrence, NY.
When I lived in Sullivan County (I now live in Delray Beach, Florida) Yiasou unquestionably was the best restaurant in Liberty--by far--despite the fact that its prices were much lower than a number of other places. George, the owner, is a true "restauranteur" who really knows his business. My favorite dish is his spinach pie (spanakopita) which I have never found surpassed anywhere. His desserts are fabulous. I am heading back to Liberty for a visit this November and look forward with great pleasure to dining again at Yiasou!

An intimate restaurant on Little Beaverkill River serving delicious international cuisine with soup, appetizer and entree specials every week. Rob the chef prepares a full range of food from tapas to racks of lamb. See menu on website. Gentle music piped in, full bar, take-out available. On the walls hang numerous pieces of art showcasing the work of renowned artists and photographers, local and international. And next door to the cafe gallery is a cozy 4 bedroom Inn right on the river. Rates are daily and weekly, with 10% off meals at the cafe for our guests. Owners Kim & Rob Rayevsky
Wednesday and Thursday are tapas nights and we enjoyed several very good plates and one excellent dish in the delightful ambience.
I have to say that the seared scallops attained the holy grail of perfection: tender inside, golden outside, and dressed with a subtle sauce. I would return just for this dish.
Salad with pears and local cheese, and eggplant toasts, are recommended. The caprese used tomatoes that were mealy and dry. The cold turbot was good.
We sat outside next to the Little Beaverkill, under the overarching trees twinkling with fairy lights. This is a great place for a quiet date or to make new friends, as we did that evening.
When you have tickets for the nearby music festival, let your server know or bring the program insert offering free wine or dessert. We did, with the result that 7 plates with wine still came to a reasonable tab.
Enjoy!

Hot coffee, great chicken salad. Good and friendly, fast employees. A couple months ago I bought 4 pounds of coffee and also wanted a large hot coffee with cream. The manager a nice man said anyone that buys that much coffee should have a free coffee. I was so surprised and grateful it just made my day. Big or little surprises are nice.

This is a great little family deli and gas station store that has basic groceries, beverages, hot breakfast sandwiches and great lunch sandwiches. I have been coming here for years. The owners are super friendly.
The store is right across the street from Swan Lake park where you can sit by the water on a bench or under the gazebo to enjoy your reasonably priced lunch in a peaceful and quiet atmosphere.

Nardi's Frankie and Johnny's Italian restaurant continues to be a most appreciated simple great old-style family restaurant. I tell all my friends about it. Great huge portions - almost always take-out half your meal! Nobody I ever know has ever complained of this place. Instead, they rave about it!
The place is almost always packed - even weekday lunch. The waitresses work hard to get all the goodies distributed to all the tables. The staff as well as diners are usually smiling with satisfaction.
My vegan friend took her son there - she said she enjoyed something she ordered that matched her vegan diet - cannot remember what she ordered, though.
It's not fancy, nor upscale. Just great old-style awesome Italian family food in a friendly environment.

Had breakfast here...was decent food.
Ordered steak and eggs ..eggs were good steak was a frozen steak I believe and didn't taste all that great. Service was not good...slow..slow to the point I never got the bill...just wound up walking to cashier and paying for what we had.

Party of six. Driving by and stopped in for dinner. Big mistake. Menu consisted of six entrees, nothing under $24. For pasta? Most Italian restaurants include a salad with the entrees, not this place. The portions were just adequate. Two of had ravioli entrees. Consisted of four nice sized homemade ravioli. Very tasty, but $25. Also the menu states that parties over five will be charged a 20% gratuity. Ridiculous! Our bill amounted to $190. Ever again!

Formaggio is a place where they make the cheese. It is NOT a restaurant - and should be removed from "restaurant" listings.
Sorry, TA forced me to fill in all the questions for "restaurants". This location is not a restaurant. It is the manufacturing plant.
The cheese is reported to be very good. It is sold in supermarkets.
