We specialize in homemade Dressed Up Country Cooking! We don't serve vegetables from a can or frozen prebreaded chicken fried steaks. Come by to see us for a relaxing time of food and drink. You can eat inside the old farm house or enjoy out door dining under the oaks and try your hand at pitching washers.
The restaurant is a block of SH 29 and easy to access. Very rustic with outdoor seating available. Live music some nights. Great breakfast menu. I had Digas, their version of migas and they were outstanding. One of the party had French toast which was average. Another had their sweet cream pancakes which were excellent. We plan to go back soon for lunch or dinner. Very good home cooking menu--chicken fried steak, meat loaf, etc. Worth the drive.

Best burgers in Williamson County. You can’t find burgers this good in Burnet County or Lampasas County, either. That’s right, they beat Storm’s hands-down. Really, these burgers are so good and satisfying, you won’t need fries. But if you have room for them, their fries are special, too. Want something extra on your burger? Major’s has nice, fresh extras like Swiss cheese, mushrooms, jalapeños, bacon, etc. Sauteed sweet onions and sweet buns come standard, and they’ve never accidentally squirted ketchup or mayo on my requested masterpiece. My sons also like their onion rings and hand-breaded corn dogs. After folks move away, they want to come back through here just for a Major’s burger. This place would be perfect if they had malt for shakes or if they could get my Italian soda right.

My family and I ate here around lunch time and were given the choice between the breakfast or the lunch./dinner menu. Half of us ordered lunch and the other half ordered breakfast.
The menu here is solid home cooking nothing fancy. They have entrees, sandwiches and salads. All of it was very tasty.
The orders were all HUGE. The pancakes are dinner plate sized. The fries looked like slabs of potatoes- really tasty.
The fried pickle chips were the best I have had. Very lightly battered and hot and fresh. Perfect. Unfortunately I could not stop eating them!
The service was excellent.

My husband and I invited nearly 20 family members to Smokey Mo's BBQ. Everyone loved the food. The service was fast and friendly. The total bill did not break the bank. We will be back. Yummy.

Highlight of our meal was the queso compesto. Caranitas enchiladas were just ok. My husband got the steak corona a d it was very cheese and salty. Interior washout basic Texas roadhouse metal building. Prices were reasonable. Nothing special or outstanding.

We are an American restaurant offering lunch, dinner, desserts, a full coffee bar and beer & wine. We also cater and offer gift cards!
Everything I have eaten here has been great! The staff is very nice. The only thing that could make it better is if they had music playing so it's not so awkward talking to someone when everyone in the cafe is quiet.Haha - I totally agree with you! It does get quiet in there at times! We are looking at a few options right now for music. Even if it's just Pandora from a laptop... Thank you for the kind words.

Everyone has an opinion and everyone's taste is different. Those that give this a one-star rating I feel were very unfair unless there was an extreme situation that occurred to warrant such a low rating. I feel this small community restaurant deserves a 5-star because i have frequented this restaurant more than 6 times, and have had not only excellent service, but offer true CANTONESE and VIETNAMESE flavors. I've seen the kitchen which is very clean thus trust i am being served fresh food. The Owner also has several other asian restaurants in north Austin under different entity names of which are rated 4-4.5 stars. I stand behind my 5-star rating as my title of this review describes. The PHO soup is unbelievably authentic, the Shakin Steak and the Bangkok Shrimp both have the true asian flavors- well balanced. My friend enjoyed the Frog legs (however i didn't try them!) Don't judge a book by its cover - this might be located in a small plain strip center, but the inside is very nice and clean. I will always try a place twice before giving a negative review. The fried calamari is not the best i've ever had, but the dipping sauce is great and for the price ($7.50) it was decent. My partner and I are very satisfied and if you like lemongras and thai basil flowers, which the Vietnamese cook with, then you will like this place- but they also have some very spicy dishes as well, as I mentioned before, the Bangkok Shrimp is powerful!

I love this place and always have a good meal. I like the El Pastor and the Shrimp Mexicana. The menudo is also pretty good.

The food here was actually pretty good, but the dining room is dark and spartan. There were several loyal and quiet dining couples here when we came in with our party of five. The section near the playground area was shut down, which was disappointing because we were attracted to the restaurant for that reason because we had kids with us. They seemed short staffed when we came but service worked out very well. Adult drinks were good and kid's entrees were hot and generous. We will go back again. But, nicer furnishings in the center would make that more inviting to us. Solid tables and chairs for 6 or more folks... just saying.

Relatively, quick dine in or take out. Good food and prices. Servers are polite and helpful. Dining area is clean and neat.
