The Barbecue Center of Lexington, NC specializes in Pit Cooked Lexington Style Barbecue. We are also well known for our Huge Banana Split. We also offer a full early morning breakfast.
Excellent Coarse chopped BBQ sandwich, very lean. BBQ sauce was not too sweet or vinegary, just right. White cole slaw with the right balance of freshness w/o vinegar taste-excellent. Homemade milk shake w/ real banana was not sweet enough for my taste, the only food not excellent. Would return when driving I-85.

Not often any more nowadays (sadly) do you come across a locals coffee shop, let alone one that roast their own coffee! This is a must for anyone in the area, the coffee is delicious and in true "starbucks" fashion has more than just "coffee" with creative drinks hand-crafted. Add in amazing fresh baked goods and you have loyal customers for life I think!! At least I know I will be :-)

These are not just delicious. They are light springy and never taste heavy or fried...yes they are sweet...its a donut! but not overly sweet. There are lots of fun fillings to customize your donut with. Choose from a variety of filling and they squirt it in to oder...they are fat and plump with all your favorite gooey fillings like Boston cream, Jelly, lemon.... The apple fritters are to die for and the service is friendly

We are always looking for “best of” places and try to avoid tourist traps while traveling. This highly rated bar b cue place fit the bill and the long line of locals proved the point. It was a little tricky to get to beside a divided highway but the GPS helped. The line moved along quickly and the waitresses were helpful with our food choices. North Caroline barbecue is definitely different in a thin, tangy sauce. We prefer a more traditional southern style but are glad we had an opportunity to try this one. A solid choice.

This place is run by children....there was not an adult in sight, and the quality shows it!!!!.......Mostly everything in the display case was raw, undercooked or mangled.....Looks like there could be a GOING OUT OF BUSINESS sign going very shortly if they keep this up!!!!!!......I hope an adult that cares reads this and makes the changes need.

A gorgeous house repurposed into a fantastic coffee house. The coffee is great, and we love browsing through the rooms that contain various crafts, art, jewelry, holiday things, homemade things, and just fun to look at. Sit at the dining room table, or relax in the salon, or cosy up in the back room. A great addition to the town.

When we walked we were greeted by a nice lady, she helped us order and we got our food which was very good. As we're eating another worker, very loud and rude came in with her child. She began yelling that the child was going to stay with her at work because she couldn't find a baby sitter. While we're trying to have a peaceful meal, she begins yelling at her kid then once she is behind the counter and on the clock she starts flipping her hair to pull it into a pony tail. As we finish our meal, we happen to see lots of Ants on the windows. We informed the ladies at the counter and she let us know she is going to get it cleaned right away.

My wife and I stopped here to eat while attending the BBQ Festival ( we had eaten a lot of BBQ and needed a change.)
Even though they were extremely busy due to Festival , the wait staff was extremely courteous and prompt.
The food was excellent and good portions ( I had a specialty salad).
They had a small collection of beers , but my wife said the martini was really good and she is picky .
Overall it was a nice experience

We've been motoring thru Lexington for years and try to time our trip for lunch in Lexington. With 20+ BBQ joints in town, you have choices, and we've tried most. This is our favorite. Portions large, so we'll typically order a chopped bbq tray and a bbq sandwich. Enough sides for both of us. If you want port skins to go, call ahead cuz there won't be any left by noon....and they are great. And so are the hushpuppies. As to the rest of the menu, I don't think we've tried anything else!

This was our first time visiting the Childress Vineyards and it was GREAT! This was my fourth every vineyard and certainly the best one so far! We actually made reservations to eat in The Bistro restaurant in the main building. I will say it was kind of confusing when we walked in. I was really expecting someone that would have greeted us at the door and ask us “was this our first time?” We still manage to figure it out and went straight to the restaurant. The host was nice but seems preoccupied with her phone a little and she sat us right in the doorway. Beside that our waitress Tonya was WONDERFUL! She was very sweet and really did her customer service to a tee.
We were celebrating my fiancée birthday weekend so she made sure we had two wonderful glasses of wine! I ordered the burger with sweet potato fries that my fiancée suggested getting (picture below). All I have to say is SWEET POTATO FRIES!!!!!!!! My fiancée ordered the shrimp and grits which she loved as well as the wine. We are actually planning on coming back this coming Saturday for lunch. We did partake in the wine tasting which was very pleasant. We were very surprised about the slushy wine drinks! They were so good and that’s coming from someone that really isn’t a wine person.
Let just say that we left with 6 bottles of wine, great food, and a wonderful experience! We didn’t get to take the tour but plan on it with the next visit. If you’re in North Carolina it’s on the must list to visit and really not that far from Charlotte, NC.
