Lebbeke (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈlɛbeːkə]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of East Flanders in the Denderstreek. The municipality comprises the towns of Denderbelle, Lebbeke proper and Wieze. On January 1, 2006, Lebbeke had a total population of 17,608. The total area is 26.92 km² which gives a population density of 654 inhabitants per km². Lebbeke is home to the chocolate factory Callebaut.

We got a bongo bon from our friends for this 1* Michelin restaurant. It was cold outside and cold inside. Apparently, they did not heat the restaurant before the arrival of the clients. The personnel however is very friendly, but the service is extremely slow. After 2 1/2 hours I was so hungry that we ate all the bread we could eat. And i saw other people had the same problem. For the desert I had to ask to accelarate. The plates were very small, but were very well presented and the food was of good quality. However, I was disappointed and will probably not return.

This is one of those restaurants you would tell your friends to go to. Very friendly staff, beautiful decor and great food. I will go back whenever I am in the area.

Al tien jaar dompelt grillrestaurant Cinemangé je onder in een sfeer van de grote cinema uit de jaren 50 en 60, waar Humphrey Bogart, Audrey Hepburn en Marilyn Monroe over je schouder meekijken. Een trendy restaurant waar het gezellig vertoeven is met zicht op de Bogaerdbrug als nieuwe landmark. Het interieur oogt hip en eigentijds. Cinemangé staat voor een keuken met veel respect voor het dagverse en kwalitatieve product. Op de kaart kan u gegrilde vlees- en visgerechten vinden, waaronder de Black Angus en Yellow Fin erg in de smaak vallen. Als smakelijk voorafje zijn de tapas zeker een extra vermelding waard. Met veel oog voor detail krijgt u hier verzorgde aantrekkelijke gerechten. De bediening is uiterst vriendelijk en spontaan en staat steeds klaar om u te helpen bij het maken van uw keuze. Sluit uw avond af met een dessert van onze After Dinner-kaart of een whisky uit ons groot assortiment Single Malts. Wij verwelkomen u graag!

This grill has a set menu, but you can have à la carte food and there are specials of the day.
The place is not big, and the Seating is uncomfortable with not enough space between tables or even at the table, conversations at neighbouring tables could be heard (or you could even participate. It was very hot inside as well.
Waitresses were nice and tried to keep up with the full restaurant.
Food itself was ok for a grill, no more. To me it is ok for a meal with friends, but don't go there for a tête à tête !

Wat meer over Freek. Freek is in de eerste plaats natuurlijk de naam van de chef van dit kleine gezellige restaurantje. Freek heeft er al een lange carriere opzitten aan het fornuis van een aantal grote restaurants. Maar nu doet hij het eindelijk zelf! Regelmatig bijgestaan door zijn echtgenote Elke en met steeds een guitige blik van op een van de prachtige foto's van zijn dochter Charlotte verwelkomt hij jullie vanuit zijn keuken met steeds wisselende eigen creaties. Dagelijks gaat hij 's morgens vroeg zijn inkopen doen en tovert hij 's middags en 's avonds heerlijke gerechten van eerlijke dagverse producten op je bord. Trouw aan zijn eigen jonge maar ook klassieke stijl met oosterse en mediterrane invloeden maakt hij steeds opnieuw de lekkernijen vanop het menu, aangevuld met nieuwe en oude klassiekers die je op het krijtbord in het restaurant vindt. Bij Freek! Kom je niet alleen omdat het er gezellig en warm is, omdat er steeds een zeer welkome sfeer heerst of omdat je nieuwsgierig het kleine binnenkoertje opwandelt in het gezellige straatje wat de Guldenhoofdstraat is... Je komt er terug omdat je er steeds opnieuw geniet van de verse en de lekkere gerechten die Freek je opnieuw en opnieuw voorschotelt! En wanneer je dan binnenkomt, en je oog valt op het homarium, dan weet je dat ook de kreeftenliefhebber op het juiste adres is aangekomen. we were there with 3 people(daughter and friend) and everyone was very happy with the food served ..fresh and tasty .. I took the rye and this was really very fresh served with mushrooms,bacon and hot tomatoes .. the other two persons took a bouillabaise and meatballs tomatosauce with fresh french fries ..the fries were excellent,crispy at the outside and softly inside ... the menu is very short but I like this very much so you are sure that everything is fresh.. the only negative point is the price .. expensive but for the quality you receive it is acceptable .. go for it and taste Freek !!!

We celebrated a family event here, and had a fixed meal option, which was adapted to the dietary needs of two of the participants.
The restaurant is run by a couple, and we were geven an excellent service. Beautifully presented dishes, excellent food.
Modern interior, lovely garden for the Summer. The only minus is the location away from the city centre.

Best pizza in the neighborhood. Real Italian family restaurant with every stereotype you can expect (take this in the good sense) :-)
Sometimes very busy though (e.g. on Saturday evenings) when they even don't have time to take up the phone for orders. Take-away pizza possible as well.
Good value for money.

we went to a'Muze in the "restaurant week" ... were you basically eat a menu chosen for you by the chef (with accompanying wines if you want).
That menu was absolutely fantastic... a feast both for the eyes and the tastebuds: great combination of flavours always presented in a artistic way. We will certainly go back there soon.
Only tiny negative remark: with such great food being served in such a fine way in such a nice environment, both the hostess and waitress could do with some fine tuning to match the standards of the food and the place.

La Piazza is a small restaurant You might walk past easily, situated in front of a church. It's not huge, so it is advised to make Reservations.
This is home made italian food at its best was the general opinion after our dinner there on a freezing January day. The restaurant serves pizza, pasta, and more elaborate dishes. None of us tried pizza, but we all liked what we had on our plate; including the desserts (tiramisu with speculoos). The house wine was more than ok, and we appreciated the gentle service, and a very reasonable bill.
After our visit, we wondered why we hadn't discovered it earlier on!
The restaurant is located in front of a church in the center of town, has a modern interior with an open kitchen. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, otherwise open for lunch 12-14, and dinner 18-22h.
