Been going to Mondeli's since before my daughter was born, and she is now 28. She would not be happy without a Mondeli's birthday cake. Still the same as they were 28 years ago....Absolutely delicious!

When you REALLY taste the beef of your hamburger, and it tastes fresh and outdoorsy, you know you've found a great place! The grass-fed beef, locally raised, is just wonderful. The pork is all-natural, too -- the pigs allowed to forage. And the chickens are free to roam, peck, scratch and do what they were designed to do. And you can actually taste the difference in the food. We also enjoyed the macaroni and cheese side, the smoked bologna Reuben with vinegar slaw and Swiss cheese (!) and the huge ham and cheese melted sandwich. I'm sorry I live three states away -- I'd be here all the time if I lived within 100 miles! P.S. Everyone working here is so very nice and helpful -- just delightful.

We were in Lancaster and I was in one of those "nothing really sounds good" moods when we ran across this little place on Campbellsville St. Wasn't sure how hubby would take it as he isn't big on anything new or different, but we decided to try it anyway. They don't have an extensive menu so I went ahead and ordered each of their appetizers so we could try them all. They were AWESOME. I ordered 2 different empanadas, hubby ordered the cod rollups with pineapple salsa and daughter ordered a Cuban burger. All of them were good (although I wasn't real fond of having something sweet on my fish). I will most definitely go back if I'm in the area.

Locally owned and operated, the Last Stop Pizza shop offers some of the best pizzas I've tasted. All fresh ingredients and no grease. They specialize in pizza, subs, wings, dipping sauces and cheese-sticks. This is a carryout and delivery establishment. Their telephone number is 859.548.3278.

Stopped here while passing through Lancaster. Great surprise! Excellent service. Paper on the tables and crayons so everyone can draw. Had a bacon burger and fries. Son had a kids meal. Daughter had grilled chicken and fries. Wife had Philly cheese steak and onion rings. Outstanding all around! Everything was made to order and high quality. Toasted buns, fresh onion rings, the kids are asking when we can come back!

It is a local favorite and the folks are nice. It definitely fills a role in this small community. That said, if you are expecting anything more than thin, processed, mass produced meats for sandwiches and burgers, drive down the road to Pasture.

the fish was golden along with crispy chicken. All you can eat along with sweet tea. Favorites are mash potatoes, cold slaw, corn, chickenlivers, greens, beans, hush puppies. peach cobbler hits the spot for desert.

Open from 10am to 7pm Mon-Sat.
Best burger (freshly cooked with fresh local meat) that you have ever eaten.
Great BBQ smoked on premise by a great chef!
This place does a busy lunch business - and does a lot of take-out in the evening.
Menu is always changing so visit often!

I do not understand the good ratings this place is receiving, unless people don't know what good food is. All their food tastes the same. I don't know how you can do that but it's true. I've tried eating here twice. First time, shame on them. 2nd time, shame on me. There won't be a 3rd.

This small place at the Sunset Marina on Lake Herrington just tries harder to please than its competitors. While the menu mostly sticks to the basics, the dishes are consistently prepared well and the prices are very reasonable.
The fried clams were large and juicy, the green beans seasoned perfectly, and the baked potato large and not overdone. My partner's Cajun-grilled catfish was also very nicely done. Because we were in Garrard County, no alcohol was served, but under a county law that apparently satisfies the non-tipplers, patrons may bring their own and serve themselves.
What stood out for me were the fantastic service and the relaxing view of the Lake. The waiters never stopped moving among the twenty or so tables on the dock and inside, ensuring prompt attention to your needs.
Watching the boats tie up to the dock for a break in their day on the water and launch after their meal was a distinct bonus.
Sunset Marina is famous for its music and dancing. The band of the moment was just tuning up as we left, but we can confirm, from our location on the other side of the Lake, that they played on well into the night.
With this combination, it's hard to go wrong.
