We visited Fat Catz café a couple of years back and enjoyed a pleasant tranquil lunch on the shaded Terrace at the back, overlooking a garden of succulents. Two years on, a lot has changed. In the immediate vicinity, other premises are up for sale or already closed-down. The man now in charge of the café seemed perfectly genial, but service was hit and miss. Of all the ten or so white wines on the wine list, only a single bottle was available. Our quiches with a small salad were probably decent enough when they came out of the oven, but they’d been ruined by a long zap in the microwave. Fat Catz café has gone to seed, which is a shame.

This restaurant is quality in all aspects.
Their home grown cultivates are of exceptional quality, while the cuisine is an absolute mouth watering experience... especially when seated outside on a perfect day or evening where the sunset views are so beholding while the inside interior and decor are a feast for the eyes...
The knowledgeable & friendly management and staff are an added value to this picturesque venue, which I will show off and recommend to any tourist visiting the beautiful Cape Town. Well worth a visit for our locals too..:) A wonderful evening enjoyed amongst tourist guides, colleagues & friends

Bad attitude from waiter/staff was unpleasant. Will not recommend at all.
With all the available wine farms and eating places available, one would think that an old, established estate would take 'good and friendly" - service as one of the most important factors that patrons expect. When the matter was reported to the manager, it was made out to be a "misunderstanding"!? Not the case at all... Rude is rude - no matter what!

We visited this restaurant in August 2017 and had one of our best meals ever. My husband has been longing for "that soup from Hebron restaurant" since we returned to the USA. All the food was outstanding - made with real skill and knowledge of flavors and how to blend them.

Had a fantastic pizza at this store.
A 3 layer pizza full of meat. Triple decker meaty. Not like any Pizza I have had before.
3 bases with filling between the two. They also had lots of other types of pizzas. Crammed crusts with a cheese griller around the base of the pizza. Looked really good.

We enjoyed big juicy Banting Burgers here on our way to Cape Town. Lose the roll, the chips and o.nion rings and have 2 hot veggies instead. We had supper at this restaurant. We were advised that the place had just been recently renovated. The service was really good. The manager was very attentive with all the customers and even served some of the dishes herself.
I ordered a fish dish which was really succulent and not too dry. My husband had the ostrich which was also good. The dishes were prepared and presented very well.
Definitely worth a visit.
