Kouklia (Greek: Κούκλια Turkish: Kukla) is a village in the Paphos District, about 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) from the city of Paphos on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus. The village is built in the area of "Palaepaphos" (Old Paphos), mythical birthplace of Aphrodite, Greek goddess of love and beauty, which became the centre for her worship in the ancient world.

Hill View Restaurant’s extensive a-la-carte menu offers favorite international as well as local flavors, making sure every dish served is a delicious gastronomic adventure, surpassing guests’ every expectation.
Having enjoyed several Sunday carvery lunches at this venue we were really looking forward to their evening menu. The evening we choose to go to celebrate two birthdays was in early December. We arrived at the restaurant to discover there were already two Christmas party's in full swing and it was quite noisy! We were hoping for a nice quiet meal with our friends. While sitting having our pre-dinner drinks a waiter came to take our orders. Two of us ordered the ravioli starter only to be informed that it was finished "As they were very busy! "We had to choose alternative starters. One of our party (we were only a party of 4) choose the Chef's speciality "crispy duck ". It was so crispy he could not eat most of it as it was overdone. Altogether a disappointing visit. The "view " as advertised is amazing.

Live entertainment on Thursdays, Friday's and Saturdays.
We went here as it was number 2 on the Trip Advisor listing. I always find Trip Advisor a very good guide. I have to say that I was disappointed. We were a group of five adults/children. The service can only be described as functional - take the order, serve the food and take payment with little to no interaction. Our table was being cleared after our starters as they thought we had had all our food. The food was fine but the service just lacked what we experienced everywhere else during our time - past and present - when eating out in Cyprus. It was a Tuesday night so a little bit quieter so will give the benefit of the doubt and given other positive feedback from others on Thanasis's but speaking for our group, I was disappointed.

We came here as a "last night" meal and wish we'd come earlier. The food is excellent and cooked to order. We had a variety of dishes, ranging from tasty keftedes to a vegetarian maze via the mist tender pink loin. Drinks are reasonably priced...MoreThank you for the review!

Beautiful views and a scenic location however, unfortunately, that was all that was good about the restaurant. Ordered drinks and they were just dumped on the table ( thought we couldn't have upset the waitress never been there before!) Customers who arrived and ordered food after us were on their second course before our's arrived at the table! Our order was a prawn salad and grilled chicken. Food finally arrived it looked so unappetising we asked for the food to be packed to go and left. The lettuce seemed limp not fresh, maybe half a tomato, plenty of cucumber, prawns tasteless. The chicken was cooked not grilled (not chicken breast as expected) and quite tough. It wasn't eaten, chips quite nice though. Certainly not an experience to repeat as the restaurant wasn't even busy there was no excuse for the poor food and for us a very poor choice of restaurant.

Very good fish and chips but not quite as good as the Restaurant in the Dekeleia Garrison Larnaka which has an Island wide reputation but it’s a long way to go from Paphos so we settled for this restaurant
Waitress service a little frantic but we got everything we needed and enjoyed our meal.
Wide range of fish dishes also available

Gabriel's Tavern was open in November 2010, is located in the Kouklia Village Square. We serve traditional food at reasonable prices in a welcoming atmosphere. From June till 15th of September the Village Square is closed to traffic after 5pm so you can enjoy your meal with no cars around. You need to park in the parking space before the Square. You can drive to the Village 15min from Paphos or if you don’t have a car you can use bus 631 from the bus station in Kato Paphos. You can ask the driver to stop at Kouklia, from the bus stop is only 5 min walk if problem give us a call and will help you.
Just a quck note to say "fabulous as usual".People take things for granted but when a tavern remains great it should be pointed out and the owner said to us Its your fifth year in a row. Hoped you had great holidays

Located in the Village Square, this traditional Greek Cypriot Tavern offers authentic island cuisine. Guests can enjoy island cooking and classic tavern-type food, choosing either a customary meze or delicious à la carte options. Enjoy themed evenings such as ‘Cyprus Meze Night’ with live music.
This is a special kind of taverna, We were a company of 12 and, since it was our first time there, we selected the meze option, advisable if you want to see the potential of a taverna as the huge variety is a big test to every kitchen. Everything was very well prepared, including the home made dips ( an extreme rarity) and everything else. The difference with other tavernas is that the dishes were prepared artfully, sometimes with a refreshing twist. The quantities were huge, the service excellent, the music non imposing and the prices as expected, around 25 euros per head all included. We will be back.

Welcome to the KENTPOIKON food&drink ,which is a family run restaurant ,taverna and cafe-bar that opened in 2008. We serve a wide selection of food including traditional Cypriot dishes. Our daytime menu includes a full range of breakfast, pitta kebab and hot or cold snack options. KENTPOIKON food&drink was refurnished this year to maintain our high standards of decor. We are the only FOOD& DRINK in the village that has disabled facilities. Our patrons are a good mixture of locals, ex-pats and tourists, so not only will we serve you with good food but tourists will have an opportunity to mix with people who have made Cyprus their home. We would love the chance for you to sample our cuisine and enjoy the ambience of Mandria village, so if you feel like a drink or a snack or are looking for a place for an evening meal, then come and see us where you will receive a warm Cypriot welcome. The service is provided to each customer in a family and very friendly atmosphere. The food is so well prepared and brings a lot of different tastes together. Not only is the food delicious but also presented in a artistic way on the plate which gives you a higher level of the culinary experience. We think that you get very high value for the money and if you are going to this fabulous place is worth all the effort to go here when you are in Cyprus.
