Sails on Lavender Bay is perched on the shore of Sydney’s magnificent harbour with post card views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. It is the perfect venue for those wanting to experience the quintessential beauty of the city. Sails on Lavender Bay is accessible by either ferry, private boat or car. The menu is original and extensive - reflecting the seasons and freshness of the local produce. The menu offers what can be described as “refined modern Australian”, with an emphasis on fresh seafood. The award winning wine list comprises of over 130 Australian and International wine varietals that have been sourced and compiled by our sommelier.
We had a meal not long after new year with two friends from Sydney and were very much looking forward to noshing our way through the Tasting Menu with accompanying recommended wines (7 courses if my memory serves me right).
The food on every plate was extremely good and beautifully presented. Tasting menus are by definition small amounts but the range of tastes and textures served up were stunning and the discussion around the table about each course lasted all evening. The service was very professional as befit the location and price and the wines were well chosen, though also served in "tasting" amounts which was a little frustrating when you get one that really fits your palate.
The visit was expensive but the whole package (location, ambiance, excellent service, food, presentation and wine) made the occasion very memorable, so much so that if I were in Sydney again and wanted to impress - this is where Id come.

Welcome to La Renaissance! We are one of Sydney's oldest family-owned French patisseries, and the first in the Southern Hemisphere to be awarded the prestigious Relais Desserts status with our head chef and co-owner Jean Michel Raynaud. Each morning we serving fresh buttery pastries, hot coffee & tea, juice, savouries and cakes every day. A great place to recharge and relax if you're new to Sydney and exploring Circular Quay and The Rocks, or a favourite for locals. Our best-selling items include almond croissants and the Monet, a white chocolate mousse cake with lychee jelly, raspberries and coconut base. Cult favourite, the ham and cheese croissant, sells out daily as well, with a shredded ham & cheese bechamel inside and on top of the croissant. Baked until crisp but still a little soft inside... we say yes please!
Walking back to our hotel after our ferry from Manly docked at Circular Quay, we diverted off George Street, and walked up Argyle. So glad we did, as in our exploration of the Rocks had shown, there is always another surprise....this time one of the best bun shops in the world. Having chosen our sweet and savoury snacks we sat in the shade of the rear garden, enjoying our snacks, and flat white coffee and tea served in a strainer. Lush!

Add award winning service and an acclaimed wine list personally selected by Franck Moreau MS, and you just know est. is going to be a dining experience not to be missed and long remembered.
We were welcomed into the amazing space by each member of a team looking after our table and we felt comfortable (and impressed) from the moment we walked in. The sommelier and waiters knew their stuff and gave excellent recommendations with patience and a sense of humour. We chose each course from the Chef's menu and were not disappointed with any of our selections. The atmosphere and experience in general (on top of the fact that we were celebrating a business milestone) made for a perfect and memorable evening. Would recommend for anyone looking for a special dining experience in Sydney. Booking online was easy too.

Took my mum here and had a very pleasant meal with excellent service. Very authentic menu and an earnest desire to be true to Thai food and not try to make it fusion or western style. It’s longevity is a testament to its quality

We had a just superb dinner experience here provided with young and enthusiastic services. The three course dinner was very good and well performed and the service with a smile, but of course a bit uncertain and not fully up to high standard. However well supported by a personal smile and the small little misstake was immediately compensated.
I would say this is "a not to be missed" opportunity in Sydney, if you would like to experience good food and service to a moderate price and you don't need the 100% perfection.
I hope the initiative will continue.

This is the kind of place that should require a self imposed non disclosure agreement. It's a small intimate cocktail bar with a constantly changing drinks list.
We enjoyed our cocktail creations and the friendly atmosphere before moving on to the spanish place next door. They do some great boozy and interesting cocktails here. Recommend you get there early as the word out and it's a smallish place.

LuMi is located on one of the wharf at Pyrmont. We went there for my birthday dinner. We selected the 10 courses, and I was very satisfied after our 10 pleasant surprised courses. Loved the colourful presentation and talented food combinations. The waiter were polite but there's still room to improve, otherwise that could of been 10/10 experience.
