Located in the middle of the boardwalk in Keystone. Just 3 miles to Mt. Rushmore.
Keystone is not a prime dining destination, but what really surprised me is how early businesses close here. With the light show at Mt. Rushmore starting at 8, I would have expected eating venues to be open at least until 10. Instead, we had to rush to town center to grab something to eat before the show.
Jane’s pizza is no exception. It’s more a kiosk than a restaurant though, so I suppose it’s normal. I guess there something wrong with the google timetable, because we checked out google just minutes before, and it claimed the venue was open until 8pm.
We a arrived at 7pm and were the last to be served before they closed. Actually, they hanged the closed sign just after issuing our receipt, and then served us.
So I suggest the owners to check with google, because it can be misleading.
Anyway, we had two small customized pizzas. They were not big (8inch), but I guess one or two slices would also have sufficed for me. my husband, on the contrary, could easily have finished a standard 12” pizza.
I added pepperoni and jalapeño to mine. It was served steaming hot, and topping were added generously. The dough was good, but the overall result was too greasy for my taste, that’s why I said that I could have been satisfied with a smaller portion.
We spent around 20$ for the two pizzas and beverages.

We stopped in here and tasted a few wines. There was no charge for the tasting. We decided to have a glass of the Firehouse Syrah. It was a lovely red wine. This store seems to have a little something for everyone. Coffee, wine, gelato,...MoreThank you so much for your five star review! The Firehouse Syrah is definitely our staff favorite so I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it! Who knew such a good traditional wine could come from South Dakota!

We stopped in here after shopping along the little main street in Keystone. Their selection of ice cream was good. It's Dean brand and very creamy. We also got a pound of fudge for a family member who didn't make the trip. It was well priced at $5.99 a lb.

Dairy Queen in general has reasonable quality control, but this particular facility seems to have management issues. Our ice cream treats were typically good but very very slow to be delivered, and seveal of the Blizzards were partially melted by the time we got them. This distracted from what could have been a much better experience and negated a repeat visit.

We stopped here on our way out of town. The first place we stopped by was closed at 7 a.m. I got the Buffalo Tail smoothie and she got coffee. It was an easy, quick stop.

Spouse and I were recommended this and two other places for our late afternoon meal. There are several restaurants to choose from in small town America Keystone. But thankfully the Tourism rep told us about this place and the 2 others stating all good. WE ARE SO GLAD WE CHOSE THIS ONE! Food served hot in lovely Indian serve ware. The rice itself was perfectly cooked as were our Entres. Our food was prepared to our preference of mild or spicy - yeah! Portions were generous and I even took some home. We had ordered a Mango Lassie, which was forgotten, but ok as we were quite full without it. Too bad it was a little too chilly and windy for outdoor dining which is on second floor overlooking the hill where Helicopter tours depart from. Even though they serve cocktails, etc., they were not "pushed" on us as sometimes is done in other restaurants. We received water as ordered and a small bowl with lemon wedges. We also learned they have another restaurant in Rapid City which DOES NOT CLOSE for the season so we will have the enjoyment of eating there as long as we are in the Black Hills area.

We went on a Saturday evening, and waited 15 min for our table on a lovely patio while getting our drinks. We both ordered elk medallion dinners. Great service, waitress very busy waiting on several tables but still noticed when we needed drink refills and ready for dessert. Great food and service! Would highly recommend to others and will come back when in Keystone area.

Because you deserve it! Enjoy a tasty experience that will not be forgotten. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff prides itself on making our guests smile. Eat where the locals do, and try the famous one-pound Reuben that put us on the map.
The staff is so friendly here and make your food how you want it. The chips that come with the food are all homemade and so worth adding the extra $1 to double the amount. I took a bag with us for the trip home. The price is not as high as some of the other restaurants. Well worth giving it a try

Stopped for lunch on the way back from Rushmore. Didn't expect much but boy was I wrong. Best Monte Cristo I ever had! The sauce is usually a weak tasting yogurt strawberry mess. This was a strawberry compote. Just super. I want another right now!

Full service family restaurant featuring gourmet hamburgers cooked to order, steaks, fajitas, appetizers, mexican entrees, kids menu and more. We have a full liquor bar, 10 local craft beers on draft and a large covered patio to enjoy the view of Black Hills and Mt. Rushmore.
Good thing that three waitresses totally ignored us on the patio long enough that we just walked out so we could go further down the road to the boardwalk where we caught a great comedy show at The Red Garter Saloon!!!!
