Visited this place for a solo dinner and had chicken grill + Greek salad + a drink for €15. The quality was good and service was friendly. Would recommend for a large feast in KalambakaThank you very much. I hope see you again.

The portions are way too small. Some plates where good but most of them were awful. The mushrooms have not taste at all. Also it is not a value for money restaurant. The only good thing is the view. I don't recommend it

We enjoyed dinner at Elias' Garden after arriving in Kalambaka in the late afternoon. The hostess at our guesthouse recommended this quaint restaurant and since it was within walking distance we decided to try it. We were somewhat taken aback when it appeared to be only partially lighted, but the hostess/manager, Christina, welcomed us and seated us in the pleasant dining room. As it turns out, we (two couples) were the only patrons in the restaurant - at least there were no other customers while we were there. No matter...we were treated exceptionally well, received personalized service and enjoyed a wonderful meal of vegetable soup (three of us) and moussaka (one of us). Since it was the last serving of moussaka available and the portion was somewhat undersized, we were not charged for it at all. During our meal, Christina departed and Ares served us through the last half of our meal. He too was friendly, attentive and thoroughly professional. We had a most enjoyable meal and certainly were treated well. The only mystery remaining is why we were the only customers. Perhaps, as Americans, we ate earlier than the locals and if we had stayed longer or arrived later we might have had to wait for a table. Who knows? In any event, I can highly recommend Elias' Garden for its ambiance, delicious food, and excellent service (at least when only one table is occupied).

Four generations of tradition in greek cuisine!! Since 1925 Gertsou family runs restaurant "Meteora" in Kalabaka. The restaurant is open from March until the end of October.
This is an enjoyable place. We came early by Greek standards for dinner, about 18:00 and despite that were warmly welcomed. The menu is rather standard. Greek food of course is excellent but I expected something different or special; instead the menu is that same as all the others. We shared wine pepper pork. Very good.
Finding this is easy, it is opposite the water Fountain in the central square.
No dessert menu.
Prices are very fair.

Restaurant-Taverna Panellinion was built in 1950 and its located in the City Hall central square of Kalambaka. Its a familly buisness and is open all year long. In winter we serve our home made traditonal dishes in a stone decorated warmy room and in summer we offer you our big shady square where customers can view the unique Meteora rocks next to the city Fountain.
First meal here was incredibly average, so much so that we were not going to return. Next night at a different place was much worse.
Night 3: the other three places we tried to go were closed...so...we ended up back here.
A totally different experience.
Good soup, excellent fried zucchini, great Greek salad, good meats, great service.
I guess is depends on the night.

This restaurant was across the street from my hotel. I am a vegetarian and was pleased they had an omelette on the menu. I requested one with vegetables and cheese which they easily accommodated. They served bread and I had the “glass” of wine, which actually was a lot more. The omelette was excellent and the total bill was 7,5 E. There was live music and a festive local atmosphere. Worth a visit!

.Under the rocks of Meteora and having in mind that the "Archontariki" is the reception and hospitable place of the Monastery, we have created a warm and simple place offering delicious and traditional Greek cuisine with pure ingredients. We made something very different from the usual, trying to offer you the best.
First of all, the waitress was lovely and helpful. Eating outside on a crisp fall day enhanced the. Meal. I had the grilled cheese with vegetables. Yummy! Beats a grilled cheese Sandwich any day. The food was tasty and very inexpensive. Definitely go there.

Food was pretty good, and the setting was charming. None of the dishes really knocked our socks off.

We were celebrating a b-day . They took very long to get the menu , it took very long for them to get the food , on my sister's and my salad there was to much oil , it tasted very bad , my sister had to wipe the tomatoes because of the oil . The lamb chops were very bony there was barley any meat on the bone they were also very fatty. At the end when we left we left with mad faces and disappointed faces and we were very disappointed in this restaurant.

We ate hear the last night of our stay in Meteora. We found it through the Michelin Green book and is located down from the main church in Kaskraki.
There are 2 main restaurants in this area and they are across the street from each other. Taverna Kosmiki has a lovely open air Terrace on the rear of the restaurant. You walk through the kitchen to get to it --- very nice.
We ate mezzes (starters) only, grilled peppers with cheese, grilled eggplant, zuchinni balls, etc. I have to say that I regret not being hungrier to order a main plate as the food was very good and above the norm.... the menus( and prices) seem to mirror each others in all restaurants.
Yes as noted by prior reviews, the food is served drowning in olive oil ( my wife and I kidded on how much money in olive oil each plate had), BUT you are in Greece and this is the way that food is cooked and served ..... at least in this restaurant that maintains a true character.
We also ate at the restaurant across the street.... the Taverna Gardenia...... will have to give my vote to Kosmiki.
Enjoy --- and it will no cost you a fortune.
We also received a complementary piece of cake (light and good) and fruit.
