Family owned and operated continuously since 1995. Biggest and best restaurant in the area, with reasonable prices, good service, great taste and great views from either tables on the river bank or tables on the floating restaurant's deck. Air-conditioned VIP room.
Thai cuisine is good here. WiFi if I want to sit for a while with a beer. It is one of 3 restaurants which are approx. equal regarding the scenic Ping river view, good cuisine at moderate prices. Popular among the Thais & me.

ask for a table near the water. Go about sunset. The 3 piece band are great and theitr volume is sensible to allow converstaion. All of the food is good. I especially enjoy the yellow curry squid. You can feed the fish in the river by throwing over bits. They are ready and waiting. Nice vibes all around. Not expensive and a good place for family and friends.

Tasty restaurant is located across the street from sirijit park in the slightly more trafficked area near the large bridge spanning the Ping River. It's located just a few meters down the road from the chakungrao riverfront hotel.
Tasty is one of the nicest and cleanest restaurant in kpp. The kitchen is partially open. The wait staff are seem to be professional waitresses. There was an English menu available but the dishes are pretty common in most restaurants, that is there's a lot of traditional dishes but the kitchen staff has their own interpretation. Anyway, it's very reasonably price. The dining area is clean and comfortable.

This is after all is said and done, a unique family run restaurant. It's a lovely peaceful atmosphere, located in a quiet natural setting, a short distance outside the busy town. Just follow the easily visible sign on the left, shortly past Nochonchum on the left frontage road. The staff is prompt, reliable and ready to help. Expertly and devotedly managed by a gregarious German chef who is happily married to a friendly Thai woman, their sweet tri-lingual children and staff always ready to assist. The food is deliciously and authentically European. The extensive beer list and wines are excellent and reasonably priced. Thais and Farangs frequently enjoy the feast!

Best Papaya salad I've had in a while, I would get it everyday! Only problem there is no English menu so not sure what else you could get on the menu! But everything around us looked delicious and not expensive at all. Also for rice paper rolls with the most delicious peanut sauce! Ask for extra and put it on your meal!

I visited this place twice during my travels in Thailand. If, like me, you are looking for a real typical thai restaurant and trying to avoid expensive places made for tourists, you will like this one: the food here is simple but the ingredients are fresh and the dishes have a rich and surprisingly intense flavour. My favourite one was the chopped pork slices with rice (I do not know how they call it in their language though): I think I got addicted to that :-)
Thai people are really kind: someone from the staff even helped me getting around the city and gave some useful suggestions (...and I assure you that it is really hard to find people who can speak english in Thailand).
If you are passing by this town I suggest you to give it a try: the place is the main city square, so it is hard to miss.

This restaurant lies just within the boundary of the Kamphaeng Phet Historic park.
The food was very local but our guide translated for us as we do not like spicy food.It was good and freshly cooked. They were very few people for lunch but it seems it is popular at weekends and at night. There seems to be a popular local nightspot with groups performing. The price was very good . Soft drinks were limited .

Baan Nichapa is an indoor/outdoor restaurant in a lush garden by the Ping River in the historic city of Kamphaeng Phet. It specializes in country-style Thai cuisine and is noted for its curries. We serve wine and beer and a selection of spirits. Baan Nichapa is part of Maeping Mango Riverside Resort and is open to the public for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For breakfast, we offer a choice of Western or Thai dishes. Outdoor dining areas include open air and all-weather Seating. Our indoor dining area is is air-conditioned. It is suitable for large functions, including lunches, dinners, seminars and parties. Baan Nichapa caters for weddings and its riverside garden setting makes it a lovely venue for pre-wedding photo-shoots. We are happy to welcome families and children. High-chairs are available and our garden has a small children's playground. All car parking areas in the restaurant and resort are paved (which is not always the case in rural towns and cities)
Located on the river this restaurant offers both amazing views and food. Cooling breezes from the river, beautiful Gardens, and wonderful lighting create a fantastic relaxing ambience. The menu is comprehensive with both Thai and western favourites. I would rate the Tom Yum Goong as one of the best I have ever tasted. The duck and lychee curry was outstanding. The whole steamed fish with lime, ginger and shallot was juicy and tasty. Every dish was authentic and presented beautifully.
Service was fast and friendly. Prices were cheap with the duck and lychee curry just $4 and the whole fish $7. Drinks are well priced at just 100 baht for a large beer. Italian wine also well priced.
It was a real treat to find such an amazing restaurant in rural Thailand. I will be back!!

Friendly staff, good food and mix of coffee's to choose from. The entertainment is pretty good. Their bad point is not having their western items of their menu in the evening
