During one week stay in Jeffrey’s Bay, we went kitchen window 3 times! I don’t usually go to the same restaurant during the same holiday. Kitchen window is amazing from the view, the food, the wine, the service, etc. my 4 yo son was sleeping. The waiter used two chairs and lots of towels to make a super comfortable bed for my son. The good choices are also good. My kids enjoyed the bake fish and rice. My favorite is bake Camembert cheese.
If you can only go to one restaurant in Jeffrey’s bay, go kitchen window.

Open Air Restaurant On Beach
What a fabulous location, this was booked for a friends Batchelorette the service was good and they checked before bringing more champagne to the table.
Our platters were a selection of fish, prawns, calamari, pork ribs, ostrich steak and came with fries and mussels in a creamy garlic sauce- all were good quality, cooked well and extremely tasty.
Their bread is homemade and goes well with the liver worst and apricot jam.
I loved the fact that the floor was sand, just part of the beach an amazing experience.

THE GREEK is a local gem in Jeffreys Bay, situated near the beach it is the perfect spot for great food and wine. With world travelers, locals, foodies and families visiting THE GREEK daily. Once you have been to THE GREEK you will forever be part of THE GREEK's family. The success of THE GREEK is down to 3 beliefs. 1. We do everything the GREEK way: We only use the best fresh local produce cooked the authentic greek way in clay ovens and open grills. 2. The second belief is, a restaurant is more than just food, it is about good company, good music, good atmosphere, good conversation and becoming food friends. 3. Uncle George's philosophy on life, food, love and everything in between,
Our innkeeper recommended this restaurant for seafood, which was a lucky recommendation for our overnight visit to J-Bay. If you just decided on where to eat by the tripadvisor reviews, you might pass this one up.
This restaurant has an extensive menu (Mediterranean and local foods), but the thing to definitely get here are their prawns, served in their speciality sauce. We ordered the tiger prawns for 2, and the portion was ample and very tasty. Some people here have stated that the restaurant is a bit expensive, but 345 Rand for a portion serving two seemed reasonable to me for prawns. They also have a reasonably-priced wine list (many wines under R100) that you select yourself from their wine cases.
Not being sure how many prawns we'd actually get, we started with an order of their "focaccia bread." It wasn't focaccia bread (at least as this American understands the term), but it was very tasty home-baked pizza bread and delicious. A delight to eat with our wine as we waited for our prawns.
The setting is oceanside, but not many indoor tables have ocean views. That did not detract from our enjoyment of our meal, especially since we went in the evening, and is was mostly dark outside!
I would definitely return next time I was in the area.

The food was delicious & served with a unique and cool presentation. Our server, Brenden, was amazing, he was super attentive and went beyond the call of duty to ensure we had an amazing experience! The bill was very reasonable. Thanks Nina’s! ??? Rob M.

Being from Texas our standards was really high. We wanted Mexican on Cinco De Mayo (May 5th) and found the Mexican.
Great service, good food, very good drinks. We had a good time, liked the atmosphere.... we had to keep asking for more jalapenos, more jalapenos! But I think that was more of a cultural thing. We wanted it hot! They took care of us.
I wouyldn't call it the best mexican food I've ever had, but it was the best I found in South Africa for sure!

We are situated on left hand side to Diaz Road cut se sac. The building is triple story with the restaurant being on the 2nd story. It has 3 parts to the restaurant. The very fine dinning inside section. This side will do you well when wanting to impress. The enclosed outside section is semi-fine dinning, where you have a front and centre view of Jeffreys Bays breath taking ocean. Lastly we have the semi-undercover outside section. Where you can get that authentic ocean breeze air and soak up the sun or feel like you under the star while seeing the moon reflect over the water of the wild ocean.
Another case of a rating which is above average but not quite very good. Despite the sand, dust and peeling paint the Fish-Wife kitchen managed to put out 4 very tasty main courses! 1 calamari, 2 curried mussels and 1 monkfish, which was not over...MoreThank you for your review. We are in the process to repaint. We are aware. Thank you.

If you want to be seen by people entering the largest mall in Jeffreys Bay - want good food at reasonable prices - this is the place to be! If the wind is pumping from off the sea - this can be a rather drafty eating spot, but otherwise its a friendly and pleasant place to eat. Good for breakfasts and lunches. If you have young children, then you may be more comfortable at the near-by Wimpy - we always enjoy eating here.

Been there a few times previously, service could be very slow but it is peak season, so we book early Seating, thinking it would be better. What a let down for the second time.. but tonight can just be describe in one word.. chaos! Waited almost two hours for our sushi, our catch of the day was so so so dry!! One little piece of dry fish and a few chips for R115!! We had to get up to try and get a drink and go the bar, the waiters just could not cope, there was a manager on duty, but he was bar man, phone orders, table seating's, there was nobody at the door with the 8 o clock turn around, people standing around all over! My husband eventually got his drink and there was ""something"""floating in his drink... very sad to see it was completely unorganized. And staff was just trying to cope... don't know if I will be back.. HUGE let down!
