I live in Atlanta and work often in Macon GA. I anticipate stopping by Buckner's for a great family style meal. I can't get enough of their chicken but I have to save room for the peach cobbler, OMG it is so good especially since they have vanilla ice cream now. Looking forward to my next visit.

Really great service and fast food. Most folks know what type food they serve, but these folks do it really good. You will enjoy your experience here at the Dairy Queen in Forsyth, Ga.

This was our second visit to Mesquite and we were very pleased. The food was good and our waiter, Diego, was very efficient even though he was overwhelmed with several large parties all at once. I'm sure we'll be back next time we travel this way.

Been open about two years in a location that was formerly "Mathis Brothers BBQ". Excellant ribs, pork, beef, stew. Clean, friendly, good service. Open Wed thru Sun.
First of all, the outside of the building is great. When you walk through the doors, you walk directly to the window and order your food. Then you pick wherever you want to sit. They have two rooms, both with TVs. They bring your food to your table and keep your glasses full. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Check out the "curtains" on the windows. They are made of flannel/cotton shirts with the button sections sewn together and the valences are made of the shirt sleeves. Great idea!! Their main thing is BBQ and they highly recommend the Turkey sandwich. I got regular BBQ and really enjoyed it. They have several sauces you add to your BBQ. I also got Brunswick stew as my side and while it tasted good, it was not warm enough for me. I like my food piping hot. Everyone in our group enjoyed our meal and I hope you will give it a try.

We have driven by this place a lot but never stopped. The chicken is moist and the gizzards are not cooked perfect. My brother in law orders here all the time will be back

We opted for the daily special which included one meat (choices included fried chicken and meatloaf), two vegetables (choices included collard or turnip greens, blackeyed peas, lima beans, mashed potatoes) a bread (cornbread or roll) and drink (coffee, sweet tea, or sweet lemonade). Charge was about $7 each. Using a debit or charge card entails a fee (I think 50 cents).
We arrived about 3:00 in the afternoon, so the restrooms (both of which were out of paper) and tables reflected a rush that had not been totally cleaned up. You walk to a serving line and make your choices. Our food was good, The meatloaf was better than the fried chicken, which was dry (which I like-you may not). We chose mashed potatoes, lima beans and blackeyed peas. Bread was included but left off, so we asked for it. It may be that as first timers we missed it.

We have been to Jimmy's twice in the past few weeks. Some friends recommended the fried shrimp, so we tried those, and they were very good. They are large shrimp, and 6-piece serving was plenty for me. The salad bar is well-stocked and very good. They have a good number of sides, so I have tried the steamed cauliflower seasoned with lemon pepper and also the fried green tomatoes. The service was good, efficient, and pleasant. The prices are reasonable. It seems to be a very popular spot in Jackson.

Just west of I-75 at Jackson, Ga. Big draw for truckers. Great food served to go. Several outside and covered tables. Set up like a food truck, you order at the window, if just a few short minutes they call out your order. Eat there or go.
You can call them on the CB! This is not 5-star dinning, but has great food, unique atmosphere, and you just got'a try it. You will be pleasantly surprised. There is a steady stream of traffic, they are always busy.

Off the beaten path by a beautiful state park with huge waterfalls, Hot Dog House fulfills. I go for the chicken fried steak. Although it's a pre-prepared item, its so good. I've only found it offered one other place (Harriett's in Key Largo, FL). It's a small restaurant in a very small town. Check out the scenery and grab a bite for cheap.
Be aware if you stray from the park or stores, the area appears to have a drug problem that lurks off the main roads. Safety first, I'm sure some of the residents are nice too (attempt at funny Trump reference).
