I live here and go to this restaurant more than anywhere else for lunch. Lunch specials are 4.75 without drinks and you get a wide variety to choose from and it is served up fresh. I don't usually eat here for dinner because their is a big price difference but I haven't eaten anything I didn't like.

Food is the fresh around and they are family owned. You call your order in or you wait while they make. If you walk in you see them make it. They are in Iuka, MS.

Food....one notch below average. They have a lunch buffet which we did not try. The taco was very salty...and nd just not very good. Enchilada surpreme...two notches below average. So, after driving 30 miles one way I can honestly say. " not worth the drive "

We were off the beaten path on our way from Muscle Shoals to Memphis when lunch occurred to us. We stopped at the Homestead wanting to see what the locals ate. What a wonderful stop!
They have a very impressive buffet for $7.99 but that seemed like too much food and the Oyster Po Boy sounded good. My was it ever. About 10 crispy fried oysters with a great sauce on the side. We also tried the Shrimp Gumbo which was very good and then topped off with a shared slice of home made Butterfinger pie. All that for less than $15.

The name and owners changed about a year ago. This was our third visit in a year.
The first visit was ok, and the second visit was not as good as the first. However, except for getting a new (we were her first customer) waitress, we really enjoyed ourself. This restaurant is located at a marina on the Tennessee river. In the warm months, there's a big crowd and a lot of activity.
The food was very good. I had grilled tuna with steamed veggies and baked potato. My wife had a salad and grilled shrimp. Our food was very good. The other couple had grilled oyster (I had one) and sea scallops. They said their food was very good.
Usually on weekends, they have live entertainment. They have seating both indoors and outdoors.
It was an enjoyable evening with good food. Price was reasonable too.

While the BBQ is certainly acceptable, it is hardly noteworthy. The service staff is under trained and slow. They did have a lunch special listing "Smoked Tenderloin" which was although a small potion but very good tasting.

Iuka is a small town and this time of year tourism is in high gear thanks to the lake and folks who like to camp, boat and fish. We were here for a week and were fortunate to find two decent places to eat out, Country Squire was one of them!
We were eating LATE (8pm) as we came of the lake late...be advised that REALLY depletes your dining options during the week...we had headed to another closer restaurant and found it already closed, so my Mother-in-Law suggested the Country Squire as she had been there before. They were open!
My Mother in law was excited to have the hot hushpuppies arrive to welcome us...we're gluten free, so she had all she wanted! She also had grilled fish and a baked potato, the hubby had a small steak, baked potato and salad, I had a baked potato and salad (from the salad bar.) Everything arrived hot and was tasty. Our waitress was friendly and attentive...we were happy!
Now, this place is only open Thursday through Sunday (I think Sunday is included) So don't try going early in the week. The Ambiance is a bit dark, but get over it, the food's decent!

I went during lunch and ate from the buffet. The pizza, pasta, salad bar and cinnamon sticks were freshly prepared. Everything was great, the employees were very friendly also. Of course I ate more than I should have. Free guest wi fi was available.
