We have come through Frikes a few times this Summer and the food here is wonderful. The service is great too.
It can get very busy with flotilla holiday booking - but despite this the food remains top-notch. May be a good idea to book table when you arrive into town. Husband had beef stifado which he said was very nice.

This is a fantastic busy restaurant well off the tourist trail. The boys don't advertise so, it's full to brimming point each night by word of mouth only. They are recommended in the Greek version of Time Out (Athenorema) and otherwise get occasional mentions on the Ithaca home website. We had the best night ever and really want to write a review for/about them but you don't have a listing. When you list them I know that the all the folk from our group would like to comment we were so taken with what they are doing. cheers paul
Probably the worst view of any restaurant on the island, situated by the road in a village, but fantastic food. A great mix of Greek and international cuisine with fresh herbs and fabulous flavours. Everything from Greek meatballs to Pad Thai and weeks perfectly presented.

Wr came here twice along the hairpins from Vathy. Perfect location on the little harbour at Friekes. Fab local cuisine Sovoro (fish) and Dolomades (vine leaves); seafood spaghetti good. Nice service and beautiful outlook. Good parking and a couple of nice souvenir shops in this hidden gem between Stavros (unexciting) and Kioni (hard to get to).

Since last year we visited Chani for first time after many holidays in Ithaca, has become our favorite place. Food is always amazing and they have every time different dishes. The meat is their production as they have their own animals and you cannot go wrong with it. They specialize in goat's meat and dishes based on it. Personally I prefer goat's meat cause lamb smells a lot some times. Service is always good and the view amazing. Cannot remember the starters we had but they were all delicious. We went 4 times there so we pretty much had the whole menu. Goat stifado, goat with ouzo pasta and tomato sauce, goat chops with potatoes in the oven, lamb chops, pork chop etc etc. All delicious. I would like to give an advise to everyone who does not know about some Greek dishes, as I am Greek the dishes like stifado, or ones based on tomato sauce are heavy and filling. Do not over do it with starters and better have them accompanying with wine. We cannot wait to visit next year and I hope they will keep the food standard high.

A restaurant with a great reputation both in Greece and abroad. Our international visitors have spread our name all over Europe and we are mentioned in every tourist guide that involves Ithaca and Kioni. All our dishes are cooked with greek olive oil and the freshest ingredients. Our fish is provided by the local fishermen and our meat comes from the local market to support the local economy.
We've been waiting more than 50 minutes to eat what we've ordered. The wine became hot while waiting and the grilled shrimps were cold (not to mention that the salad was served without oil vinegar and salt).
Overall a bad experience. Definatly not the first restaurants in Kioni.

"Downtown" Vathy this is something different from the usual greek taverna. We had mushroom risotto with truffle. Unusual, but really tasty! Nice staff, good prices. Guests tends to familiarize (as tables are so close each other) and we had a lovely dinner with two couples from Denmark! We came back again!

The Mills Restaurant, with its Greek/Mediterranean cuisine, promotes traditional cooking complimented with a modern touch. Our restaurant focuses on seafood cooking with the huge variety of fish made available to us by the local fisherman and the Ionian Sea. Additionally, we proudly reminisce the past by cooking old-time favorites, such as wild goat, in our external wood-burning clay ovens. Each season, as we strive for improvement, we freshen-up and fine-tune our menu, ensuring that one will always find something new and something unique to eat whilst maintaining the philosophy of using only the freshest products, keeping our quality consistent and high. All this, in a perfect sea-side environment in the picturesque bay of Kioni – one of the gems of the Ionian. Lastly, as Kioni is a popular sailing destination, we attempt to satisfy all ones needs by offering Hot Showers, Wi-Fi, Breakfasts, Coffees and Drinks in addition to our great meals.
Wonderful dining experience in Kioni on the edge of the waterfront (careful, a wrong step and you could get wet!). If you want to dine on the hillside above the restaurant for a more intimate experience with a view, then make a reservation the day before (if not earlier), since this small town has only a few restaurants and is crowded during boating season.
The goat, served as a main course, is roasted for hours in an oven behind the restaurant and it was an excellent dinner selection (tastes a lot like pot roast). Service was a little slow due to the large crowd (FYI the ferry arrives with tourists for dinner around 5pm and leaves after dinner). So, again Reservations are a good idea.

Fish tavern " Poseidon "
Mousaka was excellent and my family thoroughly enjoyed theirs including my wife who had a veggie stuffed aubergine. Service friendly and efficient. Tucked away in a charming little alley off the front - was great to escape the madhouse of peak holiday dining in the main streets and seafont and was also a good choice to avoid the wind on our particular evening. 4 main dishes on display at the front of the kitchen all looked appealing. All round good value too.

We found this coffee shop with good ice cream available with a wide choice. We took our ice cream and ordered coffee having paid the price asked the coffee would be brought to the table. We decided to seat in the covered area on the harbour wall which was very pleasent. There was next to no life there but the ice cream was good.

We chose this restaurant because although we love Greek food, after a couple of days in Greece we were looking for something a bit different. This delivered as there were several dishes on the menu that we hadn't seen elsewhere. Pretty sure that they advertised that they used local produce too. Good service, good ambience.
