Was very impressed with the quality of Italian food and the serving sizes are consistent with Italian family restaurants. Definitely need to make reservations before as the restaurant was full on a Thursday night.
We had a business dinner here and they have a section for a bigger group (8 people). You receive a complimentary portion of freshly baked bread with balsamic drizzled over which lays the base for a good meal. We started with an appetizer sampler which was delicious and quite big that we could have stopped there. For my main course I got a lobster tail with pasta in a saffron creamy sauce which was absolutely scrumptious. There was a good amount of saffron in the sauce, you wouldn't realise it's the most expensive resource in the world, thigh want overpowering the dish. Needless to say I finished all of it
Unfortunately didn't have space for dinner which was ok as the main meal was worth it. Left satisfied and slept quite well.

My partner and I have been here for lunch several times. Our server (the same each time) was extremely knowledgeable about the food and its preparation to help my wife with her dietary issues. I am a big fan of the reuben sandwich and french onion soup, which are so good that I may never have anything else there.

Visited in January '17 and had to make a return visit. Was not disappointed.
The Jak's Burger is excellent. High quality ground beef cooked medium to order, topped with blue cheese. Tasted delicious. Served with a mountain of french fries which were cooked perfectly - golden and crunchy. Maybe the best fries I've ever eaten.
Topped that off with dessert. There's a lot of choices, but I went for the Peanut Butter Cheesecake. Huge delicious portion with a side of ice cream.
It's been busy both times I've visited and it's easy to understand why. The food and atmosphere here are close to perfect. I'll be back!

Family visiting from California and hungry for lunch and wanting to go to Issaquah.
Hello! It’s a no brainer!
Let’s go to the Issaquah Cafe on Gilman Blvd.
They have several locations although this is our favorite and Sammamish Cafe is our daughter’s pick.
Folks this is quite simply down home good country cookin’ from biscuits n’ gravy to delicious waffles and pancakes to fresh pumpkin pie. The prices are reasonable with generous portion sizes and nice warm friendly servers and staff.
Need proof?
Try getting in there on a Sunday morning! Patience my friend it’s worth the wait...promise.
Now comes the best part. We are seated right away by a pleasant young lady Sydney (like Australia) who also is our server. What good fortune (lucks follows me as you know) as Sydney is wonderful. Always wearing a sincere smile she took over our table and made us feel instantly like we were in good competent hands. When asked could I combine items for my choice she quickly answered “we can do that here”. Usually the server looks at you funny acts like you are an annoyance and says I dunno.
Real customer service? What a surprise!
What a pleasant manner...clone this girl give her a raise or somebody else is going to steal her away.
Our biscuits n gravy half chicken Caesar salad (huge) and a delicious triple decker club sandwich that we split were all served quickly and were all fabulous. Sydney asked if were preferred light dark or both Turkey (first time in my 60+ years and lots of clubs I was asked). When it arrived she had split it along with fries on two plates...nice touch.
Another very rare Sydney touch was checking back with us to make sure that our items were all satisfactory and several more times for fresh coffee more fries (we passed) any other needs or desserts. I have not experienced service like this since I waited tables
So folks if your within 25 miles or don't know about the Issaquah Cafe stop here ask for Sydney relax and enjoy good cooking.
Full tummy,
Ricardo y Julia

Best offering is a weekend breakfast brunch...sausage, fried SPAM, eggs, ask for the rosemary potatoes instead of kimchee rice and a couple eggs over easy. Can't be beat. Remember you get a frosted warm roll before it all starts. Get a coupon from a local mailer and you can do a two for one price. Make sure you tip Paul large if you have a coupon (or not) - he's the best server they have.

I had chili prawn mac and cheese and it was both tasty and plentiful enough for 2 meals. Others in our party were pleased with salads and kids meals. Drink your coffee before you come, though... it's $4 here, which seems pretty high. Service is OK.

The Flat Iron Grill Restaurant and Grill is a great steak and seafood restaurant in the heart of Gilman Village in downtown Issaquah, WA near Snoqualmie and Bellevue, WA. We have a full cocktail bar, wine bar, extensive wine list and beer on tap. Brunch on the weekends. Cafe and bistro atmosphere fit for fine dining, upscale casual for lunch and dinner. Catering and private party as well as banquet options are available. We are close to a lot of Issaquah hotels for out of town guests. Outdoor dining available on our deck. Whiskey bar and happy hour daily. South American, Brazillian steak house influences.
A rainy early December Saturday just before noon and the place was nearly empty. Why? Cannot imagine, because the server was delightful, the menu interesting, a fine wine/beer card and three generations of us enjoyed a delicious, beautifully presented lunch of mushroom soup (perfect on a rainy day) steak sandwiches and a photogenic take on "steak salad" which was a wedge salad with blue cheese crumbles...and GOOD blue cheese, candied pecans and a generous portion of steak perfectly grilled to order. We'd been there for dinner a few times before, but it's a mystery why tables were empty at lunch time!

I admit I'm a Chinese food snob. Macky's has the best Sesame Chicken I have ever had! We ordered a huge variety of dishes and spent over an hour sharing with each other. There were 6 of us in our group and sometimes it can be tough to make everyone happy, but not here! Even our picky eater loved it! Wish we could order delivery and send it to Minnesota! :)

We went and had an enjoyable breakfast except for the fact that it took forever to get coffee and then just as long to get a refill. The place was packed so maybe that was the reason. I say try to go when it's slow...I have to have my coffee!

It has the atmosphere and noise level of an uncontrolled middle school cafeteria. The pizzas are good, but not great. Get one. It's better than the pasta dishes which are over spiced with cayenne...with clams, really? Service seemed understaffed and harried. The Tiramisu was the only thing above average. Even our children seemed well behaved and quiet here.
