Open every day apart from Tuesdays.Kitchen opens from 12:30 until 4:30pm and from 19:00 until 23:00 Fridays and Saturdays. Great view from the Terrace of the harbour and bay beyond as well as a mountain backdrop. Good informal Seating areas as well as a nice dining room inside with big picture windows to enjoy the view. Water vapour system installed on the Terrace to allow customers to enjoy the summer and stay comfortably cool whilst eating. Families and children always welcome.
We have previously been impressed with this restaurant but no longer. The highlight was their menu of the day at 12 euro but this has now been curtailed. We had lunch but this cost 80 euro for 4 people. We had just a main course and a few drinks(3 glasses of wine, 2 beers and 2 soft drinks). The main course was unimpressive and very mediocre. It took them over an hour from ordering to serving after complaining. We will not be rushing back! Needless to say we left no gratuity.

We had been told how wonderful this restaurant is, so decided to pop in for lunch. Neither of us are big eaters, so I orders Prawns in Garlic from the starter menu, and my wife ordered loin of pork from the meat menu.
I was a little unsure when the waiter came and replaced her table knife with a steak knife. I was right. The pork was so dry and tough that she was unable to eat more than a couple of mouthfuls.
The prawns were OK - but really nothing special.
So, between us we had - that we could consume - two small beers, two glasses of wine, and a plate of about 10 prawns.
And that's €40 I won't see again. Won't be going back any time soon.

A genuine friendly welcome back again from the manager owner. 3 of us on another vacation to this area enjoyed meal of the day. Quality wine served a flavoursome choice of 4 courses. Each chose differently and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Which was served to culinary perfection. It all looked as good as it tasted.
A favourite restaurant of ours that we always recommend to our friends.

We have been coming here about 10 years now, and love it so much! The Paella on a Sunday afternoon is just amazing, as is the experience! The owner is fantastic, as are the staff!! Fantastic restaurant in Azohia!! :))

Stayed in Puerto de Mazarron for 3 nights. We tried this place after being turned away from another similar establishment as it wasn't open for 20 minutes!!!! Glad we were, the food was excellent, cooked superbly. The waiter was very attentive, answered all our questions. The wine was reasonably priced. The setting by the harbour finished off the great experience.

Juan Chara is a Restaurant and Bar in the main high street of Isla Plana it is next door to La Chara the restauarants have the same family name but are run by different brothers. The Juan Chara is more modern and has Tapas as well as the main restaurant meals. It is opposite the Road Calle Isla De Herrro
One bolognaise and one lasagne from the menu were extremely disappointing. The bolognaise tasted so sweet it could have been a pudding, the lasagne resembled a £1 supermarket creation from the chiller and tasted awful. We would not go back to this restaurant

Our restaurant has two spacious terraces overlooking the sea. We have daily menus at 10 € and 15 € on weekends. Also we made menus for groups and meetings, prices can range between 20 and 40 €. The apartments are front line beach, just behind the restaurant. They have two bedrooms, kitchen-dining room, patio and bathroom. Fully equipped: air conditioning, coffee, towels etc
This is the second time we have eaten here and both times the service has been good and the food has lived up to expectations. It is not pretending to offer top end cuisine but what you get is good quality freshly prepared and reasonably...MoreDear Genko: Thank you for your comment. We hoop to see you early . Regards

WE VISITED this restaurant three times and never had a bad meal. Is a family run restaurant, with outside sitting. Very popular with Spaniards specially on a Sunday when they do paellas, also they do to take away, very tasty. Service very friendly, they accept credit cards.I recommend it !

We popped for lunch on my birthday as we fancied something a bit different from the usual menu deal dia. There's a choice of kebab or harisa soup to start....and both were quite tasty in small portions. The flat bread was nice though. We both had cous cous for seconds and were disappointed....a bit tasteless and dry....not like North African food should be. As other reviewers point out a beer and orange juice were charged for...not what it said on the board! Pretty average for €9.95 really. Staff were friendly enough and the location is good but we won't be back.
