Such a brilliant place! The food is straightforwardly fresh, tasty and very well priced. Don't bother with anywhere else in this town because they can't compete. We had two excellent main courses which were home made and delicious with a bottle of wine for 54 dollars. The service is superb: attentive but not pushy. Perfect!

Most small town are not lucky enough to have a real bakery. A donut place maybe but not a real bakery
We were attending a car show in the park next door and wandered up to check it out. Friendly and courteous staff. Lots of choices for breakfast goodness
Fresh bread was in the oven but we luckily got a day old loaf of rye. Heck, rye is at its best on the second or third day
Lots of sandwich options for lunch.
The place was full of locals which is always a good sign

Super place for sure, not far off the main road. There is an excellent selection of Pizzas and Brew. The crust was fantastic. They sell by the slice as well, which is nice for a quick bite. Family Friendly and excellent service to. Highly recommend stopping in for sure.

Had very good bakery products, but, alas, they've folded up shop. Trip Advisor won't publish this without 100 characters, so there, now there are more than enough.

LOVE B&T. This place has been around since I was in middle school. Any time I come back to Independence I stop here (maybe once a year). Their menu hasn't changed, they still have dozens and dozens of flavors. My favorite is the chocolate peanut butter pie blended mocha. It's to die for, terribly sweet but it's so worth it. I'd choose a home grown coffee shop like this over big box coffee ANY day.

We've been coming here since we moved to the area a couple of years ago and love it. It's not cheap, but it's actually food rather than the stuff that usually passes for food at fast food restaurants. The burgers are great, and the seasonal specials, like asparagus, hazelnut shakes, tend to be ridiculously good. The regional chain prides itself on sourcing their ingredients, like the meats and vegetables, from local ranchers and farmers, and there's an obvious commitment to quality food and close connections to the local community. Fund raisers are a regular feature at the restaurant, and during these, a portion of the purchases goes to the given local group. We go here regularly, and we really like the community feel. The staff are really friendly. Our child spilled her milkshake one time and started crying. Within moments, a very kind server was there saying he one time spilled a whole tray of food and that he would get her a fresh milkshake. I've also witnessed two servers offering to get water for the dogs of owners who had them in the outside eating area. It's a friendly place. We love it.

Celebrated our family gathering here and wasn't disappointed. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. The great and service as well. We enjoyed a great time and spent the evening reminiscing over past years and old memories. Was a highlight of our time visiting Independence.

Went in for lunch on a beautiful Monday. Got wonderful service from the bartender, who was running her butt off waiting on every table in the place (and on the patio). She did a wonderful job all around.
Food was delicious all around, and we had the Reuben, the burger and several side items, including the asparagus.
Nice place and will certainly return!

San Antonio is a cheery, warm, family run place with very good to excellent food, and excellent service. Recent colorful redecorating. Thin, crisp chips and moderately spicy salsa, good guacamole, outstanding refritos, and good variety of dishes. The soups and fajitas are huge and packed with meat/shrimp & veggies. Classic enchiladas, taquitos, burritos, tacos, Huevos rancheros, Chilies rellenos, and a few American foods like burgers. Good selection of Mexican beers & tequilas, and mixed drinks. Everything is fresh and tasty. We all had great meals and brought food home. Reasonable prices: dinner for 6 was $88 with 2 beers). Recommended.
