My wife and I had lunch at El Pueblito today. The lunch "experience" was very good! The first impression to almost all, if not all Mexican restaurants is being greeted with chips and salsa. El Pueblito not only passed the initial test, but excelled with their chips and salsa. The chips were quite tasty, fresh, and still hot...nice! The salsa was exceptional...with great flavors and just the perfect amount of heat. The chips and salsa set the perfect tone for the meal. Personally, I had the #10 lunch...beef fajitas, with cooked onions, bell peppers, and tomatoes, which also included rice and refried beans(plus flour tortillas). Great choice! I loved it. Also, the portion was much larger than one would expect for lunch...to the point, the leftovers became my dinner tonight. My wife had the #1 lunch...chile poblano, a beef taco, guacamole salad, and refried beans. She raved about the Chile poblano...and truly liked all the other components too. Bottom line, we both were very pleased with our lunch experience at El Pueblito Mexican Restaurant in Independence, Kansas today...to the point we would definitely go back anytime we are in the area. Also, setting El Pueblito apart from other Mexican Restaurants was the service staff...basically...the vote on the service staff...wonderful, professional, and extremely friendly! We were very impressed..."Thank You" El Pueblito for a very good lunch experience!

Great latte. I ordered a vegetarian breakfast panini without the bread, which they conveniently served in a cup. The eggs appeared to be "egg product" but the tomatoes and spinach were fresh. Servers very friendly. Lots of locals keeping up a constant stream of business. Adjacent to a cute knick-knacks shop. Great cozy and slightly funky atmosphere.

I have always loved Braums and was so excited to see this new building in Indy. The old one was way outdated and this gives Braums a whole new look!
The burgers and fries are always good and always greasy (fast food, duh). This place is my guilty pleasure. Super fast service and food. The ice cream is always awesome!

Good food, friendly staff...but don't go here if you are in a hurry! Our lunch on the way through town took 1 and 1/2 hours.

This is an independently owned Bakery where the owner actually bakes the goods themselves. High quality typically found in larger cities. Frosting is not greasy. Thankfully, I was able to walk in and purchase a fresh Birthday Cake.

Stopped in for a dinner meeting and tried the salmon. Other folks ordered the NY strip steak, and the french quarter. The salmon was prepared blackened and was OK but the steamed vegetables were watery, lacked flavor, and were semi warm. The sweet potato soup was very good but the coleslaw was warm and lacked taste. The meet eaters didn't comment on their food.
It's an old building pleasantly fitted out nicely but you can almost miss finding it because it's narrow and blends in with the other adjoining buildings.

Have ate here a few times and always excellent food , portions are good size and prices very reasonable. Service usually very friendly. It is however, one big square box eating area with no walls or partitions so it can be noisy and you have no privacy whatsoever. But for a quick meal it works I guess. They do have about 8 to 10 counter seats as well.
Only observation is the outside grounds some TLC and parking lot repaired.

I had three meals here in the course of a week. All of them were great. Hamburger one day, Caesar salad another, and the fried catfish the third. All the meals were great (although the burger was a little skimpy on the meat). Service was helpful, friendly, and efficient. The restaurant looks nice and is very clean. I found the prices, particularly for the salad, to be good.

Been there a few times, food has always been hot and fresh and good. There are usually fire trucks and ambulances outside as this is where the local rescue workers go for breakfast. Service is excellent and the people were friendly. We will be going back.
