Welcome to our original 1952 Mountainview Diner voted Best Upstate New York Diner. Best Atmosphere. Best Bacon. Best Hollandaise. Best Pie Crust. Now celebrating 65 years in the Mohawk Valley and once noted as the "most modern kitchen in New York." We have a HUGE menu and the best staff around. We offer special menus for Gluten Free, Kids and Seniors as well as a great Value Meal Menu including a beverage. Our food is homemade and we pay attention to all the small details. Located only one mile from the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90) at exit 30. You'll be so glad you decided to come visit. Thanks for checking us out.
Nice variety of foods. The portions are huge! For example, I ordered an omelette and they make their omelettes with six eggs!!!! Prices are good too.

We stopped in for lunch before our Erie Canal cruise and came HUNGRY! Boy are we glad we did!! The food is delicious and the portions are huge!! Add to that the smells of the baking breads and desserts, it's enough to drive a crazy person sane!!!
Food: I had the chicken salad panini on homemade bread with cranberry sauce and house made macaroni salad, which I devoured! It was that good!! I couldn't stop myself from finishing it. My husband had the Reuben sandwich on homemade rye (to die for) which was downstate NY deli perfection. He had the German potato salad, also delicious, with capers - nice touch!
We couldn't leave without ordering some French peasant bread (oooo soooo gooood), a few brownies, muffins and scones to bring back home. We picked them up after our cruise.
The owner, Pierre, is a delight, the staff is warm and friendly, and the pricing is very reasonable. We will be back again when we go "diamond mining" in Herkimer this week! And, whenever we get a craving!
Highly recommended.

If this place doesn't bring you to your childhood, nothing will. Comforting like a well worn pair of gloves. The service was prompt and friendly, the ambiance homely. Food was mixed. We enjoyed the haddock and the eggplant parmesan was tasty. Other things meh. The pasta alfredo really heavy, and the pasta with the haddock tasted of skunky garlic. If you need to eat the prices are reasonable and the place is comfortable, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

Arrived at 7:15 on a Sat night. The place was jammed, but our table was waiting. They didn't have enough menus to provide us them for the first five minutes.
Waitstaff was friendly and helpful. The menu, mostly Italian food, was extensive. The food was well prepared and delicious. Some of the diners said their meal was had an excessive oily taste. The main courses were very large, as were the apps. We had greens and calamari.....more food than four people could eat for apps.
My wife and I split one main course after those apps. It was sufficient.
About $25-30/pp, without drinks.
I'll come back!

I wait all year for my favorite flavor and I am never disappointed! Although this Dunkin Donuts shoppe is always clean, the service is almost always slower than average. Most of the employees here appear to wish they were someplace else and that takes the sparkle out of the visit.

The best soft ice cream around, especially the soft black raspberry. Homemade chocolate syrup, waffle cones, and nuts are just a few of the toppings you can have. Staff are friendly and always smiling!! Picnic tables with umbrellas and garden tables with chairs are available to sit and chat with friends!!!

Go Mohawk! We had two small subs. They are NOT small! They are big and delicious! We had a meatball and an eggplant. Wow! Large generous and delicious! Loved it and will be back!

My husband and daughter went here for my birthday dinner, there was no wait for a table but it looked busy. We have been here twice before and weren't disappointed either time. The staff is always nice and friendly, they don't make you feel rushed after your meal. You always get enough food with your meals, and the prices are just right. We would eat here again.

I have heard about the Red Apple for months now and my husband and I finally ordered 2 dinners for take out. We ordered the "Happy Family" & the "Four Seasons". Let me tell you this: It was soooo delicious that we ordered again later in the week and tried others. Again, absolutely mouthwatering. The people are very friendly and the place is clean from what we could see. We HIGHLY advise everyone to try them out. You won't be sorry and you will definately get your moneys worth. Its the best chinese food around and we are so glad to have tried them out!

Good wings and nice atmosphere. Pizza is really good and service is fast. You can eat in or take out. I love places with trivial pursuit cards at the tables. Decorated in a fun way, friendly service - check it out.
