Intimate Brasserie run by husband and wife team providing classical cuisine with an imaginative twist.
We don't visit Hythe that often, but when we do we book a table at the Hythe Brasserie. We are welcomed like friends and the service couldn't be nicer. The food is also delicious! This is the only restaurant not accredited by Coeliac UK that...MoreAlways good to see you guys too and it's great that you feel confident and safe with us.

I booked a table for 4 plus a 10 month old infant, nothing was too much trouble and the staff were both friendly and courteous. The menu has changed from the last time we ate there. As a non meat eater I generally have a much smaller selection but this has now changed and there are far more choices. Bearing in mind that the restaurant was very busy the food arrived promptly and we had a lovely meal.

Called here for fish and chips, having checked local reviews. Not disappointed. large portions, freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. The way fish and chips should be (and used to be in many place) This has reassured me that my memories of better fish and chips are not just nostalgic wishful thinking. It is still possible. If you're in the area, even heading for the Channel Tunnel, well worth the short detour. Plenty of Seating or takeaway option.

Been here before but this visit may be our last.
Ordered scrambled egg with bacon. A small portion of what appeared to be roughly chopped up omelette appeared with burnt bacon. My wife ordered bacon and avocado toasty - the bacon was similarly burnt and had to get mayo to make the thing edible as it was very dry.
It gives me no pleasure to post a negative review as we like to support local businesses but the quality here on this occasion was not good and not worth the nigh on £20 we spent (I had toasted tea cake as well, as I was still peckish, which was very good).
May be an off day with the chef as the place appears to be always busy but there are many other offerings in the high street.

We are local. Often have a lunch or just coffee which is always good. Cheerful staff very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Food good especially the cakes which are home made. Often visit all year round. The outside tables are a nice change even during the winter - awning; heaters and blankets all provided.

As we walked in with our dog we asked one of the staff if we could bring her in with us and suddenly noticed that there were already three dogs happily sitting with their owners.
It’s not the biggest pub but they make the most of the space that they’ve got and the staff were very friendly and efficient.
We found a seat and looked over the menu. They have usual pub food but we weren’t starving so opted for baguettes and chips. Although there was a sign to order at the bar they also had waitresses who came over and took our food and a drink order.
When the food arrived we were surprised at the size and fillings in the baguettes which came with a nice fresh side salad and a healthy portion of chips. In fact there was too much for us so our dog helped us out with a chip or two. The price was very reasonable for food and drink and we’d happily visit again if we are in the area.

Dined here with my wife for a Sunday roast. It was okay but nothing great. Cannot understand the high scores on trip advisor.
Service was very good, helpful and polite. We were made to feel very welcome. It’s just our roasts were a tad disappointing.
I’m pretty sure that the meats were precooked and reheated—certainly not carved there and then at the time of plating. Again vegetables were okay—- a little over cooked and again I’m pretty sure were reheated. We were hungry and did eat everything.
However it wasn’t expensive but this to me doesn’t represent good value. Ten pounds for a roast. I’ll be much happier to pay half as much again or more for something of better quality. Maybe I’m being picky but to me the quality could have been so much better. I would have loved to give 4 or 5 blobs as I feel a little bad when writing this as the people were so nice but in today’s Britain it wasn’t up to the mark. Would have been great twenty years ago when we had to suffer poor cuisine.

We had been told of this place and walked past it many times as we live in Hythe but hadn't visited until yesterday. The welcome was second to none and the staff were very attentive. Our drinks were delivered to the table promptly and the snack lunch we had was delicious and great value too...we will be back. Thank you.

My girlfriend and i love to come here for nice healthy food, then a naughty cake afterwards. The Quiches are amazing and taste so fresh. I usually have the spinich one but would like something with a bit of bacon in it. Other than that we cant fault it. Good service, Friendly staff and of course great food.
