Hunt Valley is an unincorporated community in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. Its traditional name was based on being just east of Maryland's traditional Horse Country (like the Kentucky Blue Grass region), and the site of the venerable Maryland Hunt Cup championship of steeplechase horse racing and jumping established 1894. It lies just north of the city of Baltimore, along the York Road (former old historic Baltimore-York Turnpike) which is now Maryland Route 45 off Interstate 83. The Loch Raven Reservoir nearby is an important drinking water resource and with its surrounding forested watershed is one of three reservoirs (Loch Raven, Prettyboy and Liberty) established for the City of Baltimore and its surrounding metropolitan areas in Baltimore County since the 1880s and expanded in the 1910s. Located at a latitude of 39.5° North and longitude 76.7° West.

As in other Wegmas's stores, this one has an entire area of ready-made foods. A cold salad bar, appetizers, multiple warm dishes, sides, salads, desserts and beverages are offered to the customers. You pick and choose your meal and can take it to the dining area, where tables, chairs and booths offer a quiet place to eat, or can take it home, for the entire family's delight. Stews, roast chicken, fried chicken, burgers, and a great more variety of dishes offers something for every taste. This is fresh food, from the high quality material on sale at Wegmans and clearly processed by expert personnel in the kitchen. it is not haute cuisine, but it is down-home, comfort food that is tasty, satisfying and makes for an excellent lunch or dinner. Certainly, a quick solution to busy parents who work and for singles who can;t or won;t cook.

Our Family has nearly a century old tradition of serving "Serious Barbecue." Andy Sr. Learned his labor of love from his dad, 'Guy Nelson' - Chief Barbecue Man for Limestone County, Alabama. In the 50's, Andy & Betty were not only attending Memphis State, raising a family, and sighting the real Elvis, but they were also developing a BBQ style all their own, integrating the spiciness of Memphis BBQ with the Old Nelson Family tradition. Andy's not famous for his championship years with the Baltimore Colts; he's famous for his hickory smoked BBQ. Ask Andy and he'll tell you that one of the secrets is slow cooking. Our BBQ is smoked many hours over Hickory logs until it falls off the bone, then simmered in our own heirloom sauce. Regularly voted "Baltimore's Best BBQ" by the staff and readers of Baltimore Magazine and the City Paper, this is one "Q" you won't want to miss. So let us take you and your guests down the Ol' Mississippi with great "Q" and maybe a little Elvis background music (streamed from Andy's iPod, of course). We recommend adding some of our Extra Fixin's to compliment your meal. We have been providing the Maryland area residents with the Best BBQ in a family atmosphere for over 30 years. We have been delivering quality BBQ to our local community and have never lost sight of what "The Best Q" means to our family and our guests. When it comes to BBQ, we make sure that everything is always made from scratch and everything always tastes perfect. I guarantee it! -Andy Nelson
I have to admit: I've never really considered myself a fan of BBQ. Growing up north of the Mason-Dixon line, BBQ was just not a part of my formative years. Nevertheless, I have to admit that one dinner at Andy Nelson's sure made a believer out of me! You can order an Express Sa"M"wich in either the Regular (5 oz.) or Jumbo (8 oz.) sizes. If you order the Express, you get two sides plus a regular fountain soda. I went with the Jumbo Express Pulled Pork. Other options include Southern Pit Beef, Beef Brisket, Brisket Tips, Beef BBQ, Pulled Turkey Q, and Yardbird {chicken breast}. My Sa"M"wich was ready in just a few minutes with what had to be the largest amount of pulled pork I've ever seen and it was wonderful, everything I hoped it would be and more. Equally wonderful were Grandma's Cole Slaw and Andy's BBQ Beans. If you go, you absolutely must try the beans - they have the most delicious taste - sweet but with an amazing tanginess and bite. My wife also opted for pulled pork but she went for macaroni and cheese and collard greens for her sides. She felt that the collards were a bit too salty for her taste but very much enjoyed the mac and cheese. Both of us enjoyed the cornbread, the perfect complement to our meal. Including our fountain sodas, our dinner for two came to less than $30 - what a bargain! Another aspect that we liked was the down home, unpretentious atmosphere to accompany the great food and friendly service. We're definitely planning on coming back to Andy Nelson's real soon!

Stopped in for a pick-me-up on a driving trip. Servers were super-friendly and filled the kids water bottles. Coffee was strong and flavorful. Located in a mall with a few other shops nearby.

This Vaccaro's isn't in the middle of Little Italy, but there aren't the lines for that Vaccaro's to deal with! Hands down, the best cappuccino anywhere in Baltimore! They have Vaccaro's pastries, Italian cookies and gelato. Some seating inside and some outside.

Barrett’s Grill Restaurant specializes in chef-prepared, scratch American cuisine. We'll tempt your every sense with an unforgettable culinary experience!
It was a beautiful evening in February which is very rare in Maryland this time of year. Wanted to have dinner outside and in this area there are three restaurant options. Never tried this place and always wanted too. We knew it was pricey but we wanted to give it a try.
No problems with the service at all. Little slow on asking about our meal and if we wanted more drinks. Actually, never asked about the drinks until the meal was over.
My husband ordered the NY Strip special that came with mash potatoes. Additional sides are not free, but if you don't like the side offered with the meal you can substitute at no additional charge. I had the jumbo lump crab cake that came with coleslaw.
My husbands steak was very dry and he ordered it medium so it wasn't over cooked. He's made better steaks on our grill. I wanted a side of mash potatoes which were an additional $4. Lots of garlic in them and if you like garlic you're fine. Crab cakes were fine. No filler which I was happy with but for $30 they were very tiny. My husband liked the coleslaw so he ate it. It wasn't to my liking.
It's a very nice atmosphere but very over priced. Gave it a try. Won't be returning. I wish we had more places with outdoor seating in our area that also has very good food.

My first visit. I was craving crab cake and was not disappointed. The single crab cake platter is a great value for $19.99. Lump crab, broiled, big and moist. Includes two sides. Great service too.

Their drive thru is amazing and their service is by far the best I've encountered at a fast food place. Even if the line is around the building you are in and out in 10 minutes! Great food!

One of the only places that took reservations for Christmas Eve 2017. So hard to find a place that accommodate 7 people. Usually the restaurants here do call ahead seating but not reservations. The restaurant was busy, service was wonderful, and the food delicious.Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are thrilled that you decided to spend your Holidays with us!! Look forward to seeing you again soon.

We ate dinner last night at California Pizza Kitchen. Our waitress was Appalachia. She was super attentive and knew so much about the food choices! She recommended the Kung Pao spaghetti which was excellent according to my husband. Our friend had the mushroom pizza which she said was well done and flavorful. I had a protein bowl with pepitas, spinach, corn, black beans, and tomatoes. It was a large portion and I couldn't finish it all. We will be back. The location is great and it is easy to get a parking spot. The best part was Appalachia!
