We decided at the last minute to treat ourselves to Sunday lunch. We hadn't booked, but were greeted warmly and taken immediately to a large table near the fire. Food : Standard Average Curry House Service : Slow. On my God SO SLOW Ambience : Functional and somewhat bleak. Conclusion : Dial a takeaway from anywhere and give this place a miss.

My lamb tikka masala was disappointing, like in those Indian buffets where the main courses are nowhere near as good as if you were to buy a la carte. Also it was too sugary. But at least the lamb was good quality. But my partner enjoyed her biriyani.

Ye Olde Six Bells in Horley is a country pub & restaurant oozing rural charm and rustic character. Our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.
very rude staff, average food that is over priced, no phone signal and unusable wifi. The problem is they have a constant supply of people stopping by once before they go on holiday so they just don't care about customer service and it really shows....MoreHi there, I would like to get some more details about your experience with us. if you would be kind enough to contact us on [email protected] we would like to work towards a resolution. Great quality and value. We’d spent quite some time researching the best reviews and looking for the best value restaurant and this one was selected. We weren’t dissapointed. Every dish was bursting with flavour and freshness. The Ceylon, the Mugabe, even the sag aloo were fantastic quality. I was also pressed that the results were achieved with minimum use of fat so the dishes were not at all greasy. Equally important, I suffered no adverse digestive reactions which also indicates the food was freshly cooked with minimal cooking oil.

The Parsons Pig, now under new management has undergone several improvements. New widescreen HD Tv's showing BT and SKY sports. New Food me nu incorporating Grills and Indian curries and British favorites like Cod n Chips, Sausage n Mash, Minted Lamb Shank and Sunday Roasts.
Very comfortable and welcoming every time we have visited the parsons pig ,the staff can’t do enough for you without being pestered all the time.

Il Sorriso Restaurant is located a 5 minute drive from Gatwick Airport. We are a warm, welcoming and child- friendly restaurant, who use nothing but fresh ingredients to cook our many varied menu, which includes many mouth watering pasta dishes, chicken and fresh fish. We serve the best Pizza's around which are cooked fresh and baked in our special pizza oven by our pizza chef. We cater for parties and special occasions, and children's menu is available. A superb wine list is also available for those wine lovers out there.
Booked a pre theatre meal, tonight.
Friendly waitress.
Prices above average, so a pity the cutlery, was light and cheap and only paper napkins provided.
I was impressed by the goid prosecco and the imported peroni, which tastes a lot better than the fake stuff brewed here under licence.
But then, dissapointment; ordered soup as a starter and was dismayed to recieve genuinely the smallest amount of leek soup, that I have ever been served, anywhere, ever. I gave polite feedback, to no less than three members of staff, when asked, that I was not happy, but was less than pleased that no resolution was offered. I would have been placated, if a proper hearty bowl, not a smear on the bottom of a bowl, had been then given to make up for matters. The owner, in particular, was somewhat stern in his manner, when I stated that I wasnt happy with the portion size.
The pasta mains were quite nice, but mine in particular, was somewhat bland and underseasoned. Portions just on the acceptable level.
So, all in all, will try so ewhere else next time in Horley and going by the owner's really quite unpleasant and prickly response to previous critical reviews, I expect a similar reaction, of , "well, dont come back again" written in response to this review, quite nasty attitude.
