Bringing river front dining back to Hopewell! The Boathouse at City Point has incredible scenic views of the Appomattox and James rivers
Went for Sunday brunch with a group of friends. We opted for the omelet bar, so delicious, custom omelets! Fruit, biscuits and other delicacies available. The coffee was out of this world, you get your own french press, it holds almost 2 cups. The service...MoreWe appreciate you taking the time to write a review and are so glad to hear that your Sunday brunch was so wonderful. We look forward to seeing you back again soon!

Not usually a big Starbucks fan but we went here twice for coffee, once we spent quite a long time sitting inside drinking our coffee and killing time. In both cases, the employees were very friendly and outgoing, and our order was prepared exactly as asked. The seating area is comfortable and relaxing. A very nice place

Visited this location after a late lunch today. The employee Nakymbra was so patient with us. We wanted something sweet but also noticed they had many new flavors. She offered us samples with a smile. This location is clean and the customer service is excellent. Today we had one large scoop for $1.31! We had Jamocha, pralines and cream, and mint chocolate chip. I also took pics of their clean store as well as their cute holiday cakes. I will go back tomorrow on my way to 85.

Upper Shirley Vineyards, a one-of-a-kind estate, winery, restaurant and wedding venue perched above once of the most scenic bends on the James River. Wine Tastings: 11-5 pm Full Menu: 11-3 pm Small Plates & Desserts: 11-4:30 pm
With friends in town from Scotland, we booked a reservation for 6 to relax and enjoy leisurely conversation, food and wine in a beautiful setting. Service was attentive, the owner and chef both checked on us, the food was delicious (salmon niçoise, Route 5 Burger, seasonal gnocchi and the Charles City Bully) and the wine a delight (sparkling rosé and petit verdot). Topped off with an intervention-worthy glazed donut bread pudding with salted caramel... Yet another lovely visit to USV where I left full of gratitude.

This restaurant has been in Hopewell for many years. I don't eat a lot of pork, but I went to K&L to get a barbecue sandwich for a friend who was in the hospital, and tried one myself. It was absolutely delectable. The bread was soft and fresh and the meat was tender and tasty. I recommend this place to anyone who doesn't mind eating a little pork somtetimes!

We found Rosa's off I 95 when looking for a "non-chain" lunch. They have a large menu where you can choose a la carte items or construct your own pastas. They also had a buffet brunch with many choices that looked quite good and a bargain at $11.09. We opted for two pasta dishes......shrimp on linguini and gnocchi, with a salad. All were very good. Service and coffee both very good.

We found this gem of a restaurant while passing through early last year. Since then we are sure to stop in when we're passing through the area. Five minutes off I 95 south of Richmond. Beautifully decorated in an unassuming storefront. Everything we've tried has been excellent. The menu is a mix between traditional German recipes and contemporary American cuisine. I grew up in Germany and this is some of the most authentic German food you'll find. Attentive service. Nice wines. And the owner makes it a point to speak with his patrons. Be sure to look this one up and try it!

Eating with a friend from Thailand who frequents the place.
I ordered the very hot Pad Thai. I thought the heat was about right. Spicy but you still could taste the food. The heat didn't overwhelm it. Maybe a bit too salty, but quite good. No vegetables in the Pad Thai like some restaurants do.
Spring rolls were okay but nothing great. The dipping sauce was very good though.

We love unique Ma and Pa Italian places to eat. After spending 14 years in Europe and eating very independent and unique Italian cuisine we never eat chain pizza in the states now. Small world places like this are so much better and this is no exception. The cheese they use is very good and actually has a rich taste to it. Not the bland chewing gum mozzeralla used by chain places. Our only issue is that it's built for order out. Not eat in. For pizza, The sauce and cheese slides off the dough easily too, but the dough is very good also. We order here all the time and will continue to enjoy it.

Well the salad bar was good. I ordered the Colossal burger. The triple decker sandwich. Well its a triple decker bun but just 2 burgers. They were tough and dry. Wont be back.
