One of the more versatile restaurants with menu ranging from Asian dishes, sushi, Mexican and Italian. In,other words, something for everyone. The meals were generally well displayed, tasty and ample. The staff were friendly and accommodating. If you choose the right night, expect a line to get in, but we never had a problem.

A hardcore pizzeria/trattoria featuring a woodfired oven. We fly in the best Italian ingredients every week for a fresh HQ product!
We were in Oslo area because our job. The hotel was an officials military barrack and that's where the name Generale comes from. Rooms are not too big, especially restrooms, but they are clean, quiet and with free wifi. The hotel offer free car park, which is more than rare in Norway. Prices are more than fair in fact we unexpected it that nice and comfortable. The restaurant offer an excellent pizza even for italian standards we are used to. Close to the hotel there is a swimming pool and a gym, which I believe is connected somehow. Of course Honefoss doesn't offert Oslo nightlife..it depends on what are you looking for.
If you are travelling in this area, highly reccomended. Excellent quality price ratio

Baked filet of trout – carrots – grilled bok choi – mashed potato – pickled cucumber – sorrel foam. The trout filet was larger than restaurant standards. But the carrots, two sliced minis only! That said, the taste was very good. No service delays, but this was before the rush. 4.5 points.

Probably the only decent place to go to in central Honefoss. A lovely old building, tastefully decorated with a preponderance of chandeliers, we had a lovely dinner here. It's run by an Iranian, but all the kitchen staff are Bulgarian, which explains the menu. Only available in Norwegian (it would be easy enough for them to run off an English version), the menu is broad and covers everything you could possibly want, from the excellent pizzas through endless chicken and pork dishes. We had the Bulgarian mixed grill (not in the UK style but perfectly decent) and the chicken-filled pancake, which were both delicious. They were rounded off by the house wine, a mere 269 krone.
We felt welcomed and looked after, just what we wanted after a delayed flight to Oslo. To be recommended

I visited "The Galaxy" with friends for Pizza, Kebabs, Chips, Burgers, etc following a Saturday night out in Hønefoss.
The food, from memory was all as expected from a late night diner/takeaway with the chips/fries being the stand out performers of the night.
The friendly Norwegian late night crowd make for an entertaining atmosphere which the staff cope with admirably and they deserve extra credit for being able to translate my drunken Scottish accent whilst delivered through the head of a 4" teddy bear (long story). The order was handed over spot on, complete with paprika.

I expected the steak to be between ok and good, considering that the price is quite affordable (it is in Norway, after all). I was very pleasantly suprised! The steak melted in the mouth, the barberque sauce I ordered was homemade and really tasty, and the potatoes was perfect. We had a banana split for dessert, and it was more than enough to share one portion. We recommend this place to others, and are definitely coming back!

Had lunch here with our Norwegian friends (on their recommendation). Very pleasant atmosphere, friendly and relaxed. Good service, English speaking staff, and excellent food. We had coffee, burgers, chicken on bread and cakes - all delicious and well cooked. Quite expensive but average for Norway prices. Central location.

First restaurant visited after arriving in Norway to have a quick snack with the family for lunch. Staff very friendly, explaining the typical Norway dishes. but we selected the pizza's. These were very good, but so huge, that we've had plenty of 'extra' snacks for the afternoon.

I've ordered from this place several times. And in Hønefoss it is my go to place for chinese food.
The food taste like regular chinese. It is not a mind blowing experience, but then again, you are never disappointed.
You get alot of food and they do not mind changing your order if you want more or less of something.
