SINTA-BAR urban bistro is a bistro restaurant located in Haifa for 10 years now. The restaurant spread on two floors and a patio and characterized with a pleasant and soothing atmosphere. Our kitchen offers a classic bistro menu with local and modern dishes suitable to the season. In addition, our bakery department offers special desserts, soured breads and homemade foccia. The Materials we use are the best- fresh fish, high standard sea food and excellent meat. In addition to our diverse menu you can also find special dishes that updates every day according to the chef's originality. The sinta bar is the first restaurant in Haifa that sets a new agenda, in material, perception and success. The most important goal standing in front of us is to give our guests an amazing experience with wonderful hosting, soft music, polite service and great dishes which will surprise your sense of taste.
As a first dish we took the sweetbreads and the sinta carpaccio, the carpaccio was good (but I always like it, hard to mess it up). For our main courses we took the New York Sinta and the Entrecote - the sinta was much better. Also had 2 wines - and came to 471 nis, way overpriced for the place since the it was very crowded, the service was poor and very slow.

Wonderful food and very friendly staff. The felafel pocket with Regina is one of the best. The homemade olives are delicious too.

It's not our first time here .
This time , seven of us , on a bright but coo early Sunday afternoon . The location is great : tucked in the Carmel mountain , just a few minutes drive from the artist village of Ein Hod .
There was only one table when we arrived an we got a corner table by the large windows: What an amazing panoramic view in front of us . Beautiful !!!!
As for the food : Home cooking . No menu .
On the table :There were a dozen various mezzez (starters salads) , some were ok , some just mediocre .(You can ask for a refill) . Then , main dishes started coming in , some were ok some mediocre . A lentil soup was there also : never mind . There were refillable pitchers of cold water and grape(?) drink , and warm pitta breads on the table . No spirits in the restaurant . After the meal we were invited to the "Salon" for coffee/tea accompanied by a tiny piece of cake .
On the bill : 120.00 shekels (us$ - 31.00) per person .
Service was friendly and attentive .
To be honest : Some of us did find the food to more than just OK . Maybe because of the quantity , (or maybe 'cause of the present company) .
Another small suggestion : The sofas in the "salon" are clearly in need of renovation .
In short : If you are in the area you can enjoy the scenic view en rout and the amazing Panorama once inside the restaurant .

Following our visit in the Amphorae winery, located nearby, we decided it would be appropriate to have some meat (especially after so much wine we tasted...).
Ein Hod is an artist's village containing museums, galleries and others. It was a very peaceful time to visit this village.
My wife was very happy to see that the chosen restaurant was Argentinian.
The restaurant was pretty empty and their service was quick and efficient.
My wife and I ordered the meat business dish and my daughter ordered the Italian business dish.
I must say that their steaks were very good, as well as their starters (empanada of course)
We left the restaurant filling very heavy (due to the meat) so that we skipped dinner..
If you are in the Carmel mountain's area and would like to have some relaxing time, I suggest you to visit Ein Hod village and to enjoy the Dona Rosa restaurant.
Highly recommended.

Had a delightful lunch here whilst on a visit to the town. Charming staff served us fresh pasta and pizzas. Only problem was we didn't have any room to sample their homemade desserts...a good reason to go back.

Had pasta with cream sauce- both dishes the sauce was watery and runny. Two other people had pizza- the dough was very thin and oversalted. Service was kind of a slow and the electricity went out twice while we were there.

As a group of 30 friends we were allocated a separate section of the bistro. The atmosphere and location are great and the service was excellent, catering to our every whim regarding the way we wanted to celebrate a birthday. The food on the whole was tasty.

The burgers were very good and nothing to complain , but the service was mediocre . It was a birthday month so we got a discount from 250 nis so we ordered another dish and waitress didn't say that it wouldn't be enough to reach 250 ...

This is a Kosher dairy restaurant located right in the centre of the town along a pedestrian mall; parking is off street a short distance away and always in high demand !
Luckily we'd made a reservation because even on a Tuesday night the place was buzzing.
The menu has a good range of dairy based food; many different pizzas and pastas.
Our orders were taken reasonably soon after we arrived and the meals came in about 20 minutes;not too bad considering how busy they were.
The total bill, including our added gratuity can to ILS300 that we felt was reasonable by Israel standards and good value.
We'd return for another meal.
