We recently had a holiday dinner at Bellissimo and it was fantastic. We have eaten here often and the food and service are outstanding. The restaurant was packed and yet the staff treats everyone like you are the only person there. Great selection of food and specials. Highly recommend.

Sook Pastry is a French bakery / pastry shop that opened in the Historic District of Ridgewood, NJ on March 15, 2011, by 3 Alumni of the Legendary Payard Patisserie of the Upper East-Side. Our new Sook Gourmet Chocolates Ganache, Truffle, Praline, Fragonard, Givrette, Mendiant, Rocher and Muscadine are made exclusively with the finest Valrhona™ Chocolates.
This bakery is great solo, friends, family and what I usually do, take home! Sook has the most incredible baked goods that were ever created in Bergen county. She is the most gifted pastry chef. Their almonds croissants are incredible as is everything else she creates! Oh, and BTW, the coffee is awesome also.

My wife and I just returned from a week in Paris. Our expectations were not high for a bar mitzvah celebration with about 30 people of all ages.
We were quite frankly totally thrilled with the food, service, variety of offerings, and ambiance of this awesome discovery.
We enjoyed the flat-iron steak and accompanying potato a gratin side, the "tree" of multi-flavored pastry delights, the eggplant parmegianna that no one could finish there was so much but that all took home to prolong the experience.
This place reminded us of Aubergene which we had visited with all eleven of the "marching Griswolds" with its friendly service and food that rivaled any we had savored in St. Martin, New Orleans, Las Vegas, New York, St. Barts, and, yes, even in Paris. We can hardly wait for them to open up a new location in Livingston, NJ, a bit closer to our chateau off exit 137.

SpecialtiesFreshly Roasted Coffee, homemade crepes, Gourmet Cupcakes & Cheesecakes, and fresh filled cannoli'sHistoryEstablished in 2012European-style coffee bar in Westwood offers freshly-roasted coffee and crepes prepared from traditional Parisian recipes.Sogno Coffeehouse opened in November under the direction of husband-wife team John and Alissa Vitale. The coffeehouse has a variety of moderately priced options -- a crepe with coffee runs between $8.50 and $10.45 -- in a setting inspired by traditional European coffeehouses and creperies.Opening a coffeehouse was a dream for Sogno co-owner Alissa Vitale and coffee/culinary expert John Vitale from the time they met. After the couple got married last year, the components of what would become Sogno -- Italian for "dream" -- began to come together when they went on their honeymoon in Paris and Tuscany.Sogno's one-of-a-kind coffee roaster, hand-built by the same father-and-son team of steel workers who built separation systems for Starbucks, also took some time to prepare. The roaster is prominently displayed in the front of the shop, where John prepares the beans
I visited Sogno Coffee House with my Mom for some light fare since it was between lunch and dinner. I ordered the espresso infused cannoli crepe and my Mom ordered the apple cinnamon honey walnut crepe. I also got the green tea frappe.
The food was Excellent! The flavors were intense and fresh and just wonderful all around. My frappe too was exactly what I was hoping it would be.
The service was good and the decor offers a nice setting.

Exposed brick adds charm to this small but charming authentic Italian restaurant.
Classic dishes plus some specials make the menu and food appealing.
We had Chicken Parm, spinach ravioli, Seafood Bianco and the fish special.
Everyone was pleased with their dishes along with the fried calamari and clams appetizers and desserts delicious.
If you can get there early the sunset menu is a fabulous deal.

What a pleasant stop on Westwood Ave. My friend and I stopped In. She tried the
ice cream (Black Raspberry Choc Chip), and I tried the chocolate (DARK of course).
They were both yummy...."We have to come back here BEFORE Lunch next time"
was my friend's comment.

I didn't expect to have such a good meal in a nondescript strip mall restraint. Food was very good, service excellent and the room was comfortable but a bit loud (they could use some sound dampening). Also, prices were fair. Apps all tasty, salad comes with each dinner and main courses were all very good from Pasta Pest with Crabmeat and Tuna to Chicken Balsamico, and Cavatelli with Sausage and Broccoli Rabe.

This is a real foodie place. It's an old-fashion diner type place aesthetically, but beyond that....food, excellent food, and more excellent food. You go here for the food. Period. It's no frills, nice music, rock and roll theme, but it's all about the food.
The menu is a bit eclectic ranging from a delicious chicken salad, to a veal special, to a pasta, to a hanger steak, lobster bisque, a lobster roll, short-rib ravioli, and more. There's excellent flavor and taste in everything -- and the flavor is just layered into all of the ingredients. You get all of the nuances of taste and flavor.
Last time I was there, I had crab bisque -- done perfectly. Excellent flavor, perfect consistency, not to pastey or thick, and not thin or watery. Loaded with crab, vegetables, and whatever else they use. I then moved on to a short-rib ravioli, topped off with some hanger steak. I can't say enough -- taste, in each of the ingredients, all of the flavor profile, coming through -- just excellent.

Visited many times and have always been pleased,
One disappointment - one in our party ordered scallops - only 3 on the plate for a dish costing over $25. One or two more would be better,
With that exception, food comes hot, nicely presented and always delicious.
BYOB is a plus.
Parking is a problem.
