Classic French Bistro
We attended a wedding in Somerset,NJ, took a 15 minute drive to Sophie's Bistro and have been talking about it ever since. Delightful experience, from the atmosphere to the service to the quality and taste of the food.
Mussels appetizer was plentiful and tasty and my husband had escargot. We both had the special beef tenderloins, but we could have split one dinner due to portion size.
Restaurant owner visited each table, genuinely interested in how customers were enjoying their meal.
Although we did not sit at the bar, we noted it was great, seems some locals met their on a regular basis. Wine list had some very nice choices at reasonable prices.
Although the restaurant was full, it was not too noisy, due to its two rooms and limited number of tables.
We will definitely recommend this restaurant and dine here when in the area again.

Excellent Greek BYOB restaurant with limited off-street parking. Cheerful decor with blue and white checkered tablecloths. Nice selection of authentic and tasty Greek dishes on menu. Nearby liquor store that sells Greek wine. Very good service. Fair and competitive prices. We went there with another couple to give them an introduction to Greek food in advance of a trip to Greece. We went without reservations for a late lunch, but the place was filling up as we left, so reservations are probably a good idea.

Great ice cream shop right on the Rutgers campus. First off you can sample as much as you want. They are not tiny samples either. So many to choose from and all homemade. I sampled three before choosing the toasted coconut ice cream. Wonderfully delicious and oh so tasty. They offer more than just scoops of ice cream. Enjoy!

Steakhouse 85 is a 21st century rendition of the classic American Steakhouse. The menu at Steakhouse 85 is comprised of fresh and inspiring modern day interpretations of classic American cuisine, served alongside the traditional steakhouse classics we all know and love. The back bone of our menu is without a doubt our beef. Our mouth watering dry aged steaks are rubbed with a simple yet luscious combination of sea salt, black pepper and fresh herbs. They are seared on a 1200 degree cast iron grill and then broiled to your liking. Paired with a large classically designed bar, complete with savvy cocktails and a Wine Spectator award winning wine list, this steakhouse is sure to please.
Great dinner! The service was wonderful and the steak was terrific! My son had the tomahawk for his birthday which was huge and delicious! It is expensive!

If you are looking for an amazing fish restaurant, in addition to Sushi and Meatless Asian dishes, make Sushiana your next stop!
Everything is made fresh, while you wait in one of the cleanest restaurants around.
I've had the Ninja Tilapia, The Fried Fish and the Salmon Teryaki and each time it's a mouth watering experience.
Oh, and Sushiana is Kosher as well

Four of us ate here on a recent Sunday evening. The other couple are sort of regulars and really enjoy the dishes, I have eaten here before. It is a very friendly, cozy place, kind of crowded, tables close to together. Dinners for four of us with salads totaled a little over $80.00 w/o a tip. It is a BYOB. My wife's ravioli all 'astice and my bolognese were okay but not nearly as tasty as they could have been. The word "sedate" appears to apply to these dishes. All in all, worth a trip once in a while.

What a gem? At first I was scared to to try the place as the menu is all over the place. Anyway no complaints. My only issue is that they need more help at the bar. Poor bartenders were working as fast as they could and couldn’t keep up with it. If you don’t want them to leave you need to fix this. Come on the mark up on alcohol is ridiculous. I’m sure you can afford it
