Although the once glittering Last Chance Creek has long dried up, Helena's Gold Rush history is reflected in its preserved architecture, from the spires of St. Helena Cathedral and the Queen Anne style Original Governor's Mansion to the restored miner's village of Reeder's Alley and the oldest house in the city, Pioneer Cabin. For those seeking adventure, the paths of Mount Helena Park provide ample activity. Helena also offers much in the way of arts and culture with theaters and galleries.

Four of dined at Lucca's recently. Two of us ordered Fisherman's Spaghetti and two ordered lasagna. The food presentation and flavors were excellent. Our server anticipated every need and quietly filled beverages and brought extra appetizer like food offerings before and after our main course. Our service and food exceeded all expectations. We look forward to returning on our next visit to Helena from Billings.

Just off the expressway on the N side of town is Steve's. Easy to get to and easy to love. Our waitress was a delight and the midday breakfast was tasty as heck. I went with the French toast short stack with a medium fried egg and link sausage. They killed it and the syrup was authentic.
You can tell this is the place where the locals like to go as well. Not that we fit in mind you, just saying there were locals in here vs us touristas.

Welcome to On Broadway. We are a casual sit down restaurant in the heart of Helena's historic downtown. We offer a world cuisine with emphasis in Italian with fresh made pasta and west coast fusion using a variety of fresh fish and jazzy sauces.
Went here for dinner and would definitely come back any time I am in Helena. My partner and I ordered delicious housemade pasta (where you could taste the freshness). Our meal came with complimentary salads and bread, and fantastic housemade salad dressings. We ordered drinks from a selection of local (Helena) craft beers (with staples as well as rotating taps), and finished the night with a taste of the local spirits from a Helena distillery (*they also had options from a distillery in nearby Bute). Spent the evening chatting with the staff, who were lovely, friendly, accommodating, and very welcoming.
As said, would definitely return again! Would likely try to make a reservation next time, as they were full up for most of the evening (which is why we were at the bar).

I would recommend reservations. We were very lucky to get seated when we walked in but we got the last free table. It was busy but our waitress was always on top of things. Great selection of Mediterranean food. We felt comfortable hanging around for coffee. Just a wonderful evening.

Good sized place with a fairly good sized menu. Nice choice of local beers. Service was pretty good. Prime rib sandwhich was excellent. Parking was a little of an issue before 5 pm. The house made potato chips and dip was great.

A rich, inviting atmosphere, an endless wine list, quality service and fantastic steaks, seafood, burgers, salads and more are the hallmarks of the premier steak company in Helena, MT.
We went here after having a horrible experience (that night) at Bullman's. When we went in, we were sat in a booth, in a quiet part of the restaurant, and given many options for a great meal. We were told that everything was made fresh...MoreThank you!

Just finished my meal. Not impressed. Ice machine out of order. Had to wait too long for food. Can't read menu because it's so small above the counter. Unfriendly staff.
My oyster and shrimp basket had 3
Shrimp and 3 oysters. Both way overcooked - almost burned. Small cocktail sauce was tasteless, as was the instant tea. French fries were typical. Plus, our meal was not inexpensive at $26! Will I return? NO!

Transporting you to the very heart of the Northern Rockies, the casual, rustic atmosphere with unique Montana Lodgepole furniture, stunning panoramic canvas and historic photographs sets the tone for distinctive, creatively prepared food served by vibrant employees renowned for passing their upbeat attitudes on to our customers. The MacKenzie River menu features an incredible array of delectable dishes, always flavorful and fresh, and served up in heaping portions. The acclaimed gourmet pizzas are offered on a variety of crusts – sourdough, natural grain, thick and thin – with toppings from classic pepperoni to pesto, ricotta, and sun-dried tomato. With nearly two dozen pizzas on the menu, you are bound to find at least one you’ll love. MacKenzie River also offer hearty sandwiches served warm on fresh-baked bread, full and half-sized salads, pastas that will wow your taste buds. You will find everything from Pulled Pork Nachos and Buffalo Chicken Mack n’ Cheese to a fresh Cobb Salad, housemade soups and Wings. Be sure to save room for the Mack Lovin dessert, gooey chocolate chip cookies topped with ice cream and chocolate sauce; it’s great for sharing. To complement the menu choices, select from a variety of microbrews and fine wines.
When on a trip in Montana, we try to find a MacKenzie River pizza place...even though the chain has expanded to neighboring states and we now have two in South Dakota! Enjoyed our favorite, the Sequoia, on a thin crust. Huckleberry lemonade. Server was good, glasses were refilled as needed; the last two pieces were wrapped in foil for future eating. Love the mountain lodge décor in the MacKenzie River chain. Good location with easy access.

An all American diner that is open ALL OF THE TIME. Open after bar close for the night owls, and stays open for the early birds. Anything on the menu is available ALL DAY LONG, with the exception of the juicy prime rib dinner (Friday and Saturday night only). Well known for the chicken fried steak, eggs Benedict, and just right hash browns. Lunch specials are served Monday through Friday, along with homemade soups every single day. The food is served quick enough to get in and out for your lunch break even. There are 21 different kinds of pies, most of them homemade as well. Montana made ice creams and milkshakes are also available at any time. The wait staff are friendly and attentive and the food is always awesome. You just can go wrong by choosing Shellie's Country Café!
Shellie's Cafe is an excellent that a lot of potential patrons probably don't know about. Located in a truck stop on U.S. Highway East it and based on its external appearance Shellie's isn't the kind of restaurant that would draw a tourist off the road...MoreAwesome! Thank you so much for your review.

This is a TAKE OUT ONLY Establishment. Phone orders are welcome. No seating outside or inside.
Found this awesome simple Mexican shop making fresh and yummy food.
Cheap fast eats and you'll love the meal. I have only tried tacos vegan style with rice instead of carne , but it is busy with plenty of meat orders. Wonderful couple run the place and their are simple tables outside to enjoy on a warm big sky day. My new go to when in town!
