On a recent trip, we drove through this DQ. We each ordered blizzards, which were excellent, as usual. However, my wife ordered a cheeseburger, and I had a grilled chicken sandwich. We unwrapped them as we continued our trip, and if we had not been traveling, I would have taken them back and demanded a refund. The cheeseburger was dry. When my wife opened the bun, it had approximately a 1/2 inch spot of mayonnaise. I told her to scrape some off of my sandwich, but it was also almost dry. In addition, my chicken patty had been sliced into several pieces, as if it were intended for a salad topping. This made it very hard to hold together. The bun was about the size of a yeast roll, and tough, as if it had been under a warmer or microwaved.
We will still visit this DQ for ice cream, but there are a couple of other restaurants very close to DQ, and they provide much juicer sandwiches.

Passing thru Hazard on the way to Lexington we checked Trip Advisor, as always, and saw Coal River Grille. We read about the service, but the food sounded good and moreover it was not fast food! We were seated right away and the restaurant was mostly empty except for a party in on of their back rooms. We ordered our meals - a caesar chicken salad and a rib dinner. Got the side salad for the rib dinner then my husband got his caesar salad and no rib dinner. By the time my husband was nearly done with his dinner still no rib dinner had been served! When is was served the potato was barely warm and I could not even cut into the ribs! When we asked for the manager it took nearly five minutes and had to ask another person to get her over to the table. By this time I am hungry and not very happy. Manager did not charge us for anything, but I went away hungry and angry! Do not tell me that bad service and bad food is because you have a large party to serve - does not make me feel great as a customer! Ended up with fast food anyway!!!

We took our granddaughter to the new Sweet Frog that opened in town. She had it at school and wanted to visit the shop. The frozen yogurt was good and had plenty of different toppings to chose from. It had quite a few different flavors of sugar free also. Our granddaughter liked the child section to eat in, mainly because of the TV and bean bag chairs. Very clean restaurant.

Friendly staff, food was average. Not bad in any way but just average. I had veggie fajitas and my husband had burrito. Wished not so much cheese sause covered the burrito. My fajita veggies were peppers, onions, broccoli and mushrooms. Refried beans, cheese, sour cream.
Chips And salsa. Salsa wasn't great.
Great prices.

Good place for Mexican food. Best salsa I've had at any Mexican place. Good service, quick and friendly.

Super friendly staff and comfort food. Family friendly and down home the ladies at this eatery are friendly and caring. Outside, there are umbrella covered tables for your comfort. Great little store has pizza, wings, soft drinks and frozen yogurt bar. No beer offered. I think these folks go the extra mile. If you aren't counting calories and just want some comfort food make a visit.

Stop by after a long day of work with the entire crew. The restaurant was not very busy so we are able to seat eight people immediately. The waitress service was excellent. Our waitress came around in a very regular basis offered suggestions for appetizers and kept our drinks full. We ordered a variety of food from pulled pork sandwiches to a full rack of ribs. I had the big blue smokehouse burger which was very good. It was a hamburger with a pile of pulled pork and melted cheese on top and all the garnish. Really good! The appetizers were very good also. We had the fried onion, and the pulled pork potatoes skins. I have had better barbecue in other areas however, big blue was very good and worth the stop

Just what we were looking for. I ordered the Tuesday Roast Beef special, slow roasted with homemade gravy, mashed potatoes and peas were my side choices and cornbread sticks. Jen had the homemade chicken and dumplings and said "that was SO good". She also had the fried okra and they have a ton of sides to choose from including deviled eggs. Clean and tidy old school cafe style withittle red hard bench booths. Prices are great and service was perfect.

Went twice while staying in Hazard. The steal is nothing to right home about and in fact is very small. There are 3 places in Hazard with better steaks for better value, but the buffet is what is worth the money here. The buffet is...MoreI am glad you enjoyed the variety and quality of our buffet. We would love to win you over to our steaks too though. Quality and freshness is our motto - thanks again!

This place is just one room so if anyone is smoking in the smoking area (the left side) you will smell it in the non-smoking area. I would have rated my meal 5 stars but the smoke was horrible. We ended up eating very quickly because of the smokers.
My comfort food of fried chicken, corn, and mashed potatoes was excellent. I would have loved to take my time eating it. It wasn't even clear that they allowed smoking when we walked in. After we started smelling the smoke we started looking around and noticed the smoking and no smoking signs (they were small).
