Lovely upscale, romantic French restaurant at the end of Ridgewood Ave. with a small municipal parking lot adjacent to it. The food quality is exceptional having been prepared by Chef/ Owner, Michael Latour who is a cut above the average chef. This is a BYO restaurant decorated primarily in white shades.

Rocca was hose not for a friends' night out because we actually wanted to have a conversation and unlike some other local Italian restaurants, this isn't too noisy. It's a pleasant dining room, with tables far enough apart for privacy. The menu is interesting. I ordered the cornmeal crusted calamari and hot peppers with a ramekin of hot tomato sauce as a starter it was very nice. My friend had the unusual fired artichoke and olive salad which she really enjoyed. Other salads were ordered as well. For a main course, I ordered the daily special, which was Chicken Marsala, served with mushrooms in the sauce, and mashed potato. The chicken was tender and the potato was good, however the sauce was extremely salty. I didn't enjoy it quite as much as I had hoped.
The four of us shared two desserts; the ricotta fritters with raspberry sauce and the mini cannoli. They were both very good but I would say that the ricotta fritters were unexpectedly exceptional.
This restaurant is a BYO, so we brought a few bottles of wine which were graciously opened for us and left to enjoy in a variety of stemware. This always helps the budget, so our meal ended up costing $169 including tip, for four diners. We had a very nice evening. By 9:30pm though. The restaurant was completely empty of customers besides our table. The staff began to set tables for the next day and eventually made it clear that they wanted to close up. We had been there for 2 1/2 hours so I can't say that we were rushed out, but as we were enjoying our evening so much and it wasn't very late, I would have preferred not to have to leave before we wanted to.

Sook Pastry is a French bakery / pastry shop that opened in the Historic District of Ridgewood, NJ on March 15, 2011, by 3 Alumni of the Legendary Payard Patisserie of the Upper East-Side. Our new Sook Gourmet Chocolates Ganache, Truffle, Praline, Fragonard, Givrette, Mendiant, Rocher and Muscadine are made exclusively with the finest Valrhona™ Chocolates.
This bakery is great solo, friends, family and what I usually do, take home! Sook has the most incredible baked goods that were ever created in Bergen county. She is the most gifted pastry chef. Their almonds croissants are incredible as is everything else she creates! Oh, and BTW, the coffee is awesome also.

First time at this byob restaurant. We found street parking but you can also park across the street at the church. We started with the stuffed artichoke which was good and under ten dollars. For entrees my niece had red snapper and I had the seafood special with pasta in a pink sauce. Both were very good. They bring a plate of dessert samples to choose from and they all looked good. I can't remember the name of the dessert I chose but it was good.

Visited Nadie's tonight with my girlfriends on one of there recommendations. It was an excellent dinner! Starting with the most delicious bread & oil on the table along with toasts with scallion and eggplant that was just so good. The Nadie Salad served Family style was an absolute hit with salami diced and cheese in it. I could have had this as my Meal. All 3 of us ordered different entrees and each was just so incredible. The portions are so big you have 2 or 3 meals and the fresh Rigatoni served with the entrees was to die for. This is a hidden Gem in a strip mall and no doubt we will be regulars after tonight.

This place is terrific for getting a quick breakfast sandwich or a bag of freshly baked bagels. When I purchase a bag of bagels to bring home I always find that there are one or two extra bagels in the bag that I didn’t request.very customer friendly.

Looked at numerous reviews to find the best carrot cake in Bergen County. I must say this one was excellent! It was moist (and remained so for the limited time we had some left over). The cake was not overly-spiced as some are. No raisins. Could have used a little more walnuts. The cream cheese frosting was out of this world, just the right balance of sugar so that you could still taste the cream cheese. It was close to where I work, so I would go there again to try another one of their cakes.

I come here every week, everything here is freshly daily baked. If you come towards the end of the day, you can see almost everything is sold out. Best time to come is in the morning when things are just fresh out of the oven.

Came to this restaurant on a Monday night based on reviews from friends and on TripAdvisor.
Very disappointed. Very expensive for mediocre food. Also, seems they are in a rush to serve you your meals and to clean the table.
No ambiance either.
Will not be going back here again.

Mediterraneo was created out of a desire to explore and share the unique, seasonal, healthy opportunities of the Mediterranean Cuisine, from the shores of Southern Europe to the coast of North Africa. At Mediterraneo, we carefully and without compromise choose each ingredient for its authenticity, quality, and freshness. We invite you to join us and discover for yourself why in 201 Magazine, Best of Bergen, Mediterraneo has been voted the "Best Mediterranean Restaurant in Bergen County" several years in a row. Whether it's a business lunch, a friends get together, a romantic dinner for two, or a private party, we will make sure to offer you a wonderful dining experience. We recommend the delicious, authentic Spanish tapas, the tender Moroccan lamb tagine with dried fruits and our fresh fish, daily imported from the Mediterranean area.
We've been here before and were sorely disappointed on our most recent visit. The service was very slow (to the point where it seemed they were short staffed) and the food was average at best. The paella was not good, the char was substandard and the lamb shank lacked flavor. Perhaps the tapas are the way to go here but for these prices I will be going elsewhere. #epicrestaurantfail
