We had a great time here. The food was straight forward hot and good. Smiles all around and very good prices . We are going back for dinner this week, really a good place.

This a great thai food truck located in the North Shore of Oahu. We ate here twice on our trip. Delicious authentic thai cuisine. Call your order in and pick up. They get very busy around dinner and could wait long, unless you call in. It is worth the wait. The couple running the truck are very nice. Definitely stop and enjoy a meal at this gem in the North shore.

Como en el continente pero menos cantidad y mas caro, pero se ahorra igual en comparación con otros lugares para desayunar ho comer una merienda.

Our our way around the North Shore and looking for a lunch stop, we settled on this place. There are not many parking places, so we parked across the street and walked over.
We were given a sample of the pineapple tiki drink, which was very nice. My wife and I followed our usual practice and split the entree, two pork surf n tacos, with a side of black beans and rice, and I ordered the pineapple tiki drink.
The tacos arrived fairly quickly in a foil pan; the pork was both sweet and roasty. The sides were a bit bland, so we mixed in the juice coming out of the tacos...much better. The drink was served in the pineapple which was a novelty, but a bit unwieldy (it's also not an inexpensive drink).
Would we eat here again? Maybe.

This little gem of a stop is along a bend in the highway, just south of Laie. We almost didn't stop, but we were thirsty and needed a snack. Just a roadside stand with some of the best Otai's you will ever have and fresh fruit, mostly grown on property. Several types of bananas to try, fresh coconut, wonderful relaxed staff. You won't be disappointed you stopped here and relaxed a little! Authentic roadside islander stand. Simply the best on the island!

Tasty shrimp. A few choices of seasoning available. There were also a few more options if you didn't want the shrimp. Served with the usual sides - rice and macaroni salad. Be forewarned - you have to peel the shrimp yourself. It gets messy with butter and/or sauce all over it.

It is listed on Yelp and serves good, affordable fare
We were staying in Laie during our visit to Oahu and decided to stop at Keneke's one night for dinner. The prices are as good as you can possibly hope to find in Hawaii, but the food really wasn't very good. The Kalua pork was decent but the "BBQ chicken" was terrible. The quality of meat was the worst I've ever been served at a restaurant...beyond tough...basically inedible. Even if the chicken had been good, the sauce was a no for me too...it definitely wasn't BBQ. My Dad ordered 2 burgers. He should have known that 2 for $5 was too good to be true. These burgers definitely didn't appear to be 100% beef. He said the burger "wasn't the worst he's ever had." He then named 2 other worse burgers he's had in 54 years of life lol. The fries were...fine? I guess...
The restaurant seating areas were sweltering. The back room was well over 85 degrees and the front room was at least 80. We couldn't eat outside because the animals roaming around (like the goat) would apparently steal our food according to one of the employees. I'm not kidding around.
Speaking of employees. Unenthusiastic says it best. I'm pretty sure one of them went to the Kristen Stewart school of acting.
Tip: Drive the rest of the way up to Laie. Go to Seven Brothers and pay a little more. You're in paradise. Quit trying to save a few dollars!

Kaya's Kitchen is the only place on this island to get home made "butter mochi"... we stumbled into this little local, general store... and there it was...BUTTER MOCHI!
the owner has been there for a few generations, which she gives this place character... she is super friendly, knows anything from the area, waters, climate and good eats...

If you like Dominos Pizza this is your place. If you want a salad to go with it go elsewhere. We ordered on a Tuesday and I was told that they were out of salad. I guess they were waiting for a shipment or something, but was a little disappointed.

I drove by this place a couple times, and then decided based on the one review to give it a try. The outside and inside for that matter, would discourage a lot of people. We were pleasantly surprised. Nice friendly service, good prices and great portions. The ribs had nice flavor, the BBQ beef and chicken was good. The pot stickers were so so. Kimchee was good, but not as spicy as I usually like. The mac salad was pretty bland. Overall I'd go back for sure. More of a takeout joint, although they do have a few tables inside.
