Reasonably small restaurant with personal touches through the night. In between meals. We kept getting little surprises the chef had prepared for us. We did not ask or get charged for this, just because they were nice.
Service was very good, I certainly recommend going here.

With a group of friends we booked diner on Newyears eve. We all love sushi and we were adviced to try this one. There is a system where you can basicially eat as much as you want for 22.50 Euro. This is not a bad price as the food is very good.
The Sushi is tasty and fresh and the main courses are all nicely prepared. I would say try this one if you like Sushi...........Service was ok but also it was not a busy night.

Atmospheric seats inside with an unexpectedly big garden Terrace in the back. The cooked mussels (seasonal) and coque au vin were excellent, other dishes were good. A nice small selection of desserts and plenty of options to drink.
Service was friendly and helpful, but there wasn't really enough staff for the crowds that were there at the weekend, and waiting times were quite long.

This restaurant unlike most fine dining places is huge. Probably being an old library. It is beautifully decorated from outside and within. Charming and elegant touches of decor. Food is creative. You choose from 4, 5 or 6 courses and the chef supplements them with two surprises. Every dish is an art. Taste was excellent starting from the amuse bouche but it started to go down. Some of the main courses were very good but other were bland. There Michelin stars? Not sure. May be two. Service was professional and friendly but very slow. It took us 4 hours to finish our dinner and there were other who were before us and finished almost with us.

Kota Radja is located in the heart of Zwolle and is surrounded by terraces and the cities beautiful canals. This modern Asian restaurant serves a innovative menu of Asian tapas and differentiates itself by a modern interpretation of the Asian cuisine (Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese).Culinary diversity, unique flavors, award winning wines..simply a place where the best of Asia merges.
Spicy for Dutch: not spicy at all. Very popular restaurant, always full, Reservations needed in advance for no apparent reason. Food is okay but not great. Service rather slow. Concept is rather innovative. Small dishes to be ordered in five rounds. Drinks are expensive.

We went here on our second day in Zwolle. We also made a reservation.
VERY good food! We had complimentary chips and salsa. I asked for something hotter to dip it in and they brought me Carolina Reaper sauce and naga jolokia sauce. Very nice! They asked me if I wanted some milk with it and I said nahh since I practically grew up eating hot sauce!
We did the 2 x 4 meal deal. it was 2 courses with each course having 4 different items. I kinda felt there were more than 4, but I didn't complain about it!
So much food! And everything tasted amazing!

We ended up here lastminute after some good reviews on trip advisor and it was really a pleasant surprise. We had the chef's 3-course menu and all the courses were very good! Great, pure food prepared by a chef who knows what he's doing and served by kind and skilled staff.
Highly recommened if you love pure food and great wines!

The restaurant is located in a former blacksmith. You will see the chefs in a open kitchen, prepare contemporary dishes of beautiful and fresh products. We offer you very varied dishes on French cuisine. You can dine à la carte and there are also various menus, including smith menu and season-based menus. Combined with our richly filled wine cellar you can count on a beautiful and culinary experience. On the first floor are the 'Huiskamer', 'Gelagkamer' and a bar. These lend themselves to jubilees, weddings, meetings, receptions, private dining, training sessions, etc. There is also the possibility to dine in privacy.
We so enjoyed this place. Filled with farrier's tools and quaint small rooms with brick interiors, this place provided beautiful, peaceful, ambience. We loved that we could choose off of the menu or with 3-5 courses with substitutions accepted. Various wine suggestions were made with the different courses. We also enjoyed that we could converse and hear each other. Fine food shared with good friends. Highly recommend.

My wife and I took a cappuccino and a piece apple pie - home made they claim - at New Years day afternoon. Perfect quality and good adequate service. Typical a family place. Many young parent couple with their kids - many unfortunately not so well up brought, but you can't blame Jansen for that fact. They have a video corner for the small ones. Clean toilettes. Coffee prices OK - cappuccino EUR 2,60. Apple pie slightly too expensive - EUR 4,-.
