My wife celebrated her 50th class reunion and her class picked this pizza place. We even heard about it back home in Sarasota at Dillard's from a clerk! She was from there and said you guys are going to a great place! She was right! Not only could they handle regular Friday night clientele, they could also handle 165 of us with ease. Pretty impressive! All kinds of pizza and salad and we can't wait to tell the clerk!

We have eaten her on many occasions, mostly take out, but this place is AWESOME. Parking lot does get super busy, but food is definitely worth it. Best pork chops and portabella mushroom sandwich, they offer great sides, speedy, homemade service with large portions. You won't leave hungry & atmosphere is very fitting.

First, I am a Cajun and grew up eating Cajun food and I cook Cajun food. I am very skeptical about any Cajun restaurant outside south-central Louisiana. This place is the real deal. I had both the gumbos - seafood and chicken/andouille and both were superb. The seafood had a rich broth and tons of fish, and the country gumbo was flavorful and not overly thick. The crawfish etouffee was rich with crawfish and the gravy had a luscious texture without being too rich and filling. The consistency of the soups and gravies was just like home, and the flavors were authentic. My only complaint was they did not serve cafe au lait. Oh by the way, the cocktails were phenomenal. This place is quite a drive from Chicago, but it was on a cute little street and the restaurant itself had a lovely character. I'll be back.

I don't normally order deep dish Pizza but the guys I was working with wanted it. When I picked it up from the counter it felt like a slab of concrete! I normally like pizza with the sauce under the cheese, instead it's on top and the cheese was on the bottom. The guys liked it so that's all that counts.

Donuts are donuts, especially from Baskin-Robbins. However, what has made this particular B-R my favorite is the friendliness of the staff. I have stopped by at all hours of the day and am always greeted by a friendly face. The restaurant also appears to be exceptionally clean in comparison to other B-R stores I have visited. Bring on the orange coolatta.

My initial thought was to give three starts because of a piece of ham in my vegetarian skillet. I was specific, as I usually am, to request that my skillet be far from the dealings of meat products. I was politely clear to the waitress, Lela. In turn, Lela was consistently pleasant and what I call 'a darn good waitress'. It was her great personality and quick handling of the mishap that settled me to consider trying the remade dish. Moreover, she was the same with everyone else that she waited in in the section, even calling people by name and noting different things about their lives, things that only someone who took the time to actually talk to customers would know. So, kudos to you Lela! I'm glad that I waited for the remade vegetarian skillet because it was DELICIOUS! She was also correct in that the pancakes were great without butter or powdered sugar. Sooo, I SMASHED! My return visit will tell if I remove a star...please be more conscious of special dietary requests, in some cases it could be life and death. IJS
Returned yesterday, 8/11, no issues...DELICIOUS Pancakes and French Toast!
