The restaurant is a quaint house transformed into a restaurant. They had art work displayed throughout and tables were spread out comfortably. Staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. They had a good selection of food, beer, wine and spirits. Apps came out quickly and there was a unique sorbet to cleanse your palette before the main course. They also had a desert menu with options for all. We had steak and risotto and everyone enjoyed their meal. We also had 2 desserts for the 3 of us and both were excellent. While items were on the pricey side it was well worth it for the quality of food, ingredients and deliciousness. If near by a must try.

Casual but elegant, rustic yet refined, country and still upscale...Come and enjoy a place where you can eat, drink and stay awhile! Brand new is SOFT ICE CREAM is served under the deck right next to the Western MD Rail Trail!
We liked that the restaurant had a welcoming feel, kind of like a carnival.
Positives- friendly staff, good vibe, fun to shop in the antique section downstairs and the in the sundries area upstairs, crab fries are fantastic, pork cracklings were delicious, pork belly sandwich was amazing, bread pudding was a dream, portion sizes are wildly big, staff was attentive.
Slight drawbacks- it did take quite a while to get through the meal as the pace of food delivery was a bit slow for our taste (however that is a highly subjective issue and other people might enjoy a slower pace), the lobster in my lobster roll was absolutely previously frozen (I assumed it would be fresh, should have asked, my bad).
We are not from the area but I would certainly go back if I was in Hancock again.

The small town of Hancock marks the junction of 2 major interstate highways: I-70 and I-68. The Sheetz offers well-made sandwiches and other snacks for the weary traveler. Not fancy, but servicable.

Exquisite cuisine, with inventive recipes served i an upscale casual environment, browse local art while dining in the Gallery setting.
We enjoyed our meals a lot. Tari's flatbread was really good and so was the raspberry vinegrette on our salad. My husband ordered a mixed drink and I got a sweet tea that wasn't very sweet. The chicken cabonnara was good and there was a lot if it so now I have lunch for tomorrow. Yippee! I enjoyed it and my husband liked my meal more than his New York strip. He said the steak was good but it was just a steak. The service was good. We ate dessert there earlier in the day and it was really good. He had the creme brulee. One of his favorites. We spent $100 for dinner and $17 on dessert including tip. We would definitely eat there again.

Homestyle food featuring hormone and injection free beef. Menu ranges from appetizers to meals and desserts. All food prepared on premises.
This small spot is not a fancy place, but nicely decorated and features booth seats that look like they came right out of a 50's Chevy. Local meats and produce. Service was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend the onion petals and cheesesteak, which is large enough to feed two average people - we split it. Huge amount of fries with it, and it came with onions, cheese, peppers, tomato, and lettuce, we skipped the mayo. Inexpensive.

After enjoing a spa visit in Berkeley Springs, WV we decided to venture north to Hancock, MD for lunch at Weaver's. This is an old established venue known for its homecooked style and fresh bakery items. We enjoyed baked haddock with homemade mac & cheese and stewed tomatoes on the side and a hot Turkey sandwich on homemade bread, mashed potatoes, green beans (cooked low & slow with ham & onions) and of course wonderful gravey. We bought fresh iced cinnamon rolls to take home for later. Well worth the exit off I-70 for a great lunch or dinner. Or just stop for the bakery items.

This was a first time visit to the Angus and Ale driving up from Winchester based upon a co-workers recommendation. While the outside of the restaurant does not have a lot of curb appeal, based upon the number of cars in the lot on a Friday evening this proved to be a good choice. The wait staff was great and the food was even better. The ribs and small sirloin steak were tremendous as was the sides and salads. A good listing of craft beers was a plus. Map this location and enjoy a great meal.

We stopped in for a late lunch and had the fried chicken. The chicken looked great but had a great deal of breading on it and the underlying skin wasn't crispy. The chicken tasted good but there wasn't much of it. The fries were ok could have spent a few more minutes in the fryer to be perfect. The coleslaw was fine cut and good. Server was slow despite the fact they didn't look that busy. I ran out of water and we had to wait for ~15 minutes for our check as the server just disappeared for long periods of time.

The Naked Olive Lounge is a beautiful "speak easy" type of bar with a excellent small plate menu and amazing cocktails. Weekly food and drink specials. Fine art, great food and fun environment.
Completely enjoyed the experience at the Naked Olive.
Gail & Kelly did an outstanding job at the bar and serving tables
with a smile while the rush was on. But it is a true " Touch of Class from the complete staff to the unique menu offerings and the environment of the pub. We will return.

This experience ruined the remainder of our vacation. Three people at dinner time ordered: pretzel appetizer, two sodas, one water, chicken breast dinner, rib dinner and pasta dinner. We spent TWO HOURS there and had to leave to find somewhere else to have dinner! Had to get up and find a waitress four separate times as they would not come back. An hour after arriving we received our food. The chicken breast was COMPLETELY RAW INSIDE (not exaggerating), the ribs were ice cold and the pasta seemed fine but had an “off cheese” kind of smell that we assumed was some type of fancy cheese. Got up to find a waitress since someone dropped off the food, but nobody returned. She saw the chicken and said she would get the manager. The manager came out TWENTY MINUTES later and took the two plates of untouched food away. The pasta was cold by this time and two of us had no food. She only offered to remove the chicken and ribs (which we obviously didn’t eat) from the bill as a courtesy. They didn’t even touch the side dishes. A COURTESY!!? The manager left and eventually we had to get up again to find a waitress to give us a bill. Other than removing the two dinners we couldn’t eat, she didn’t even take a soda off the bill and we were 1.5 hours into “dinner” with nobody having eaten yet. What is so sad, is that the person with the cold pasta ate several bites but said she didn’t care for it as it tasted odd. We eventually got the $35 bill after two hours of being there, paid it (my MIL is too kind and left a 20% tip who knows why) and left to find somewhere to eat dinner! The pasta person said she wasn’t feeling well so the other two ordered dinner elsewhere. The one who ate the pasta ended up VOMITING about an hour after we left, and didn’t stop until the next day. She couldn’t eat for two days!!! It wasn’t the pretzel as we all had eaten that. Trust your gut and never mistake something that tastes spoiled for “fancy cheese,” especially from a restaurant that just served you raw chicken. I’m still shocked that we gave these people over $40 and two hours of our time, just to talk with a manager who couldn’t care less and ruined our vacation. This was a three day vacation and this happened our first night there. Food safety? Nope.
