Good amount of fried whitefish with coleslaw and baked potato, for $13. Plain and simple style of restaurant with no frills. Place your order and pick up from counter when your number is called. Fish served on paper in basket, with plastic cutlery.

The place was crowded when my wife and I entered. For good reason, we discovered. The beer was excellent (with eight or more in-house beers on tap). Very good IPA. Atmosphere was very easy-going and friendly. Cheerful and attentive staff. Prices are excellent ($2.75 for a pint). They don't seem to offer any food, but customers can bring their own food in, or have pizza delivered from nearby pizza joint.
Would love to go back!

A must visit if you are anywhere near or visiting the area of Houghton, Michigan. Every year our family takes a trip to Houghton and Hancock to visit relatives and friends. Roy's is an absolute "must stop" before our return to Wisconsin. The pasties here are the closest in flavor and texture to what our grandmother and mother used to make! Yummy! Then there are the bakery items as well! Who can possibly leave Roy's establishment without any of these awesome, decadent treats? Certainly not me and I must bring some home for those left behind, if they make it there!!! Highly recommend this establishment!

This is the #3 restaurant in Hancock, Michigan. Nice little burger joint that serves them anyway you want them. Got the quarter pounder and was not disappointed. You can tell they like what they are doing because they look over your order as they make it. My wife got a chicken sandwich and loved it. In a plaza off the main route. The place was busy and the locals were coming out to eat. Good spot.

You wouldn't expect much from the outside, but don't judge a book by its cover. The inside is very well-decorated with a vaulted ceiling and intricate woodwork. Simply put, the food is excellent. Of course they are known for their pizza. However, the garlic bread appetizer with the homemade ranch cannot be missed. Be adventurous and try one of their specialty pizzas, you will not be disappointed.

American with a Finnish influence. Also a bakery.
They serve good quality comfort food. It's a nice hometown café. They also had some nice bakery goods. I had a chicken wrap and fires which were good. My wife had breakfast which was also good. Kaleva café is exactly what it's suppose to be. I'm sure it's a popular place. I would eat here again.

Liked servers and atmosphere. Started with fried mushrooms with white sauce dip. It was really good! My wife and I had Halibut and Whitefish. Both were delicious. Another member of our party had Chicken Alfredo. She reports that it too was good. We would recommend for others.
